The hotel is older so they’ve tried to update it. But let’s say they definitely went with the lowest bidder. The TV’s are generic so there is no guide, and no WiFi for streaming. On arrival we found they gave the room away that we were promised and tried to charge us $25 more than was quoted on Hotels.com. Live and learn

Housekeeping did a poor job at cleaning, no sweeping, had to go to office several times for clean towels. Trash dragged around outside near stairs, which was attracting wild animals.men congregating on the stairs making it difficult to get by. No amenities.

The room was fine and good value. The water view is nice tho the abandoned dirt pool is what you see first. To me the value was worth the stay as the room was quite pleasant

Definitely has had some upgrades. New floor and furniture in most rooms (I've stayed in 3 since the renovations). Staff and management are wonderful, and I love the fact that there's an attendant available overnight.

The cost was 95 dollers for one night. The 1st room they gave us smelled like Weed. They let us have a different rooom. That one was not bad, But the one of the pillows smelled bad. Also, we thought there was a pool as shown on the site. But there is no longer a pool because of the hurricanes. They shoud mention this and take down the pictures of th the pool.

This hotel was not in a great area. It was very shabby and dated both outside and in. We had to check out because of an ongoing disturbance in the next room. Paper thin walls, blind didn’t close properly. Manky shower curtain. TV didn’t work. Whole place felt unclean.

I'm surprised there were any good reviews on this place. The room was dirty and obviously the floor hadn't been cleaned in a long time. After waking around in bare feet the bottom of my feet were black. We thought we saw bed bugs so took a town to wipe up and it looked like blood stains. There were people smoking drugs (not pot) outside their room and it was very uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, I ended my 3 night stay after 1 night, cut my losses and booked a different hotel. I would not recommend.

Periodically we stay at different hotels for a change of scenery if nothing else. This is one we’ll be using often. The updates they’ve done work well. Good beds. Tile floors. Close parking. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Convenient location. In a nutshell it’s an affordable decent place to stay.

No way that this facility should be rated 7.4. Noisy ac unit and loud dehumidifier in the room (which I unplugged). Floors were dirty, no drinking cups in room, empty Kleenex box in holder. Seeing that the lobby had a “bank teller” window where transactions are done while the customer is standing outside should have been an omen. Stay away

The Riverview has an off-the-beaten-path look to it; pretty plain and out-of-the way appearance. But for the money, a pleasant enough experience. The room was clean, comfortable; everything in working order. No bugs. Clean shower. Office staff, though difficult to reach, was very helpful. My business was finished early and I tried to cancel 2nd night through Expedia. No help there whatsoever, after being bounced around to at least 3 reps. The hotel onsite staff took care of it without batting an eye. Don't be reluctant to stay here. Quiet; convenient; no indication of unsavories in the area..

The front desk person was nasty. My friend came to help me with my bag's to check out. I'm disabled on the second floor mind you. He bought his dog in the room for less then 15 minutes and there is no dog's allowed but he didn't know that and mind you I had know idea he was bringing his dog. The front desk guy saw the dog started yelling and made us immediately leave and said he don't want these kind of people in his place. I'm 65 year's old what kind of people? People who love furbaby's? Well I would think twice before going there unless that's your only option.

the stay was good, but i still havent gotten my deposit back in over a week, and the person staying next to me had a several hour stand off with police to which i was instructed to not leave my room and stay quiet, and did not get a discount the following day and was told "not the hotels problem" so i was held prisooner and I understand why the police took such action, then after i had to deal with forensics which perferred i walked the other way, but no discount but rooms are clean and beds are really comfy, i would stay again but make sure your deposit is cash or you wont get it
