Highly recommend the Mein house for anyone traveling to the Avon Colorado area or if you are just passing thru. What really makes the place special are the owners Tod and Tamara. They are very personable and make you feel welcomed like you are old friends. Both are available to answer any questions you may have about the area, and nearby areas to explore. Both make you feel very comfortable.Tamara is an amazing cook who will have breakfast ready for you each morning. Each morning the menu is different and she will also accommodate dietary requests. The place is very clean and well maintained. There are two houses and the setup is such that it works well for solo travelers, couples, friends or families. Well equipped with a guest kitchen for those that want to cook or store food, pool table, sitting rooms with tv's, books, games etc. Very relaxing.

Mein Haus was very clean, with a comfortable bed, and great breakfasts. Staff/owners were very friendly. Location was great with a short walk to the bus stop to take the shuttle up to the ski lifts. We didn't really get to fully appreciate the property since we were out snowboarding every day and hung out with family at their condo in the evenings but there was a nice library, work center, and hot tub available as well. My only complaint would be the pillows could have been more comfortable. A couple down pillows in the room would have been great.

Tamera was a wonderful host. Check-in was very personable. The common areas were large and very homey. It was nice having a fresh made breakfast. The pinacoloda french toast was amazing! We would stay again.

Comfortable reasonable priced rooms, good breakfast and exceptional service make Mein Haus a must for people who want a different experience than the standard hotel. The location is close to the free bus line to Beaver Creek or Free express bus to Vail. Tamara was super friendly and responded quickly when I showed up at 7pm for check-in. I wish I had time to enjoy the property amenities such as the Hot Tub, Community Kitchen and Pool Table! Also love the "no shoes" policy in the house but the house provided Crocs to use, neat idea!

Tamera and Todd were great hosts!!! We spent 3 nights and they provided an excellent atmosphere and experience for us. Breakfast was delicious!!! Everything was neat and clean. We will definitely be back!!

We had a great stay for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable though my husband hit his head a couple times on the lowered attic type ceiling! The breakfasts were delicious and Tamara was very helpful finding us ways to get to Vail without driving! Plan to stay again—- maybe for my birthday!!!!

Tamara was very pleasant to deal with. Lovely breakfast was made and great conversation. The house we stayed in was very clean, you change out of shoes and put crocs on that are provided to ensure the carpets remain clean. There was a lot of information provided. The room was a little smaller than expected, we reserved a Romantic King with Mountain view and was very small. Didn't seem much like picture but we didn't stay long and served its purpose. Probably would have been able to get a better room if hadn't gone through Expedia and went directly through them but for the one night and not knowing the area much it worked out.

Great spot to stay close to skiing. The owner was super nice and gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. The breakfast in the morning was delicious - fresh cinnamon rolls, eggs and ham, yogurt, cereal, juice options, etc. The room was quiet, cozy, and clean with a comfortable bed. Would stay here again!

Everyone there was super nice & inviting. They made my son & me feel right at home. I loved the camaraderie between the host & other guests during breakfast! The food was delicious, my compliments to the chef!! The space we used was perfect & all we needed. I hope to use them again this season if they’ll have us!

Stayed in Avon for a visit to Vail for the weekend. The free local bus is a walkable distance from the home and easy to use to get around between Vail and Avon or just around Avon. We had a great stay for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable though my husband hit his head a couple times on the lowered attic type ceiling! The breakfasts were delicious and Tamara was very helpful finding us ways to get to Vail without driving! Plan to stay again—- maybe for my birthday!!!!

Todd and Tamara are superb hosts. This is a one-of-a-kind BnB and I will definitely be staying again. If you want to hit the slopes hard, Tamara whips up a huge breakfast well before the lifts open, then it’s a short trot to the bus stop (<15 min to get to the lifts from their front door) for super convenient access to Beaver Creek. Vail takes a little more effort, but I would still recommend staying here and “commuting” to Vail. After all, if you’re not spending $500/night in avail Village you’re taking the bus anyway! May as well stay where there’s awesome food, fascinating company, room to sprawl out, and everything you could possibly need within walking distance.

Everyone there was super nice & inviting. They made my son & me feel right at home. I loved the camaraderie between the host & other guests during breakfast! The food was delicious, my compliments to the chef!! The space we used was perfect & all we needed. I hope to use them again this season if they’ll have us!

Breakfast was good. Lots of rules. Weird Mannequins in various places and cameras all over in the common places. I mean I can't really say anything bad per say... You just have to experience it for yourself. Good value for the area for sure.

Last minute in need of a room. All went well. For being right next to the enteyway ans main kitchen I wouldnt say the walls are quiet bound. Host was very nice. Very spacious common area. I would suggest updating towels in bathroom. Seems old. Otherwise all was good.
