The floor in the elevator was sticky. Lobby was poorly lit. Frontdesk employee was friendly but not behind the desk. Was in his apartment and I had to call out “hello” both at the time of checkout and later when I needed to ask for some plastic ware to eat dinner that I bought from a nearby restaurant. Probably the best hotel in Lampasas, but needs more attention to the details.

Had a great stay the only negative thing i have to say is that we couldn't use the pool. They said pool was out of service and would be fir another 3 weeks . Weather was perfect for it but things happen.

Short on staff. Pool needed cleaning. Bedding was very thin and very small pillows. We had to ask for an extra blanket. Breakfast was good. We came for my nephews funeral. I asked to check in an hour early but they refused without charging me an extra $25. I thought that was very per customer service when the room was ready.

For the price service was blah. would only allow us to have two towels in the room. No towels for the pool. The room was clean but it had small pillows that looked like throw pillows for a sofa. Not that comfortable. For person serving breakfast was an amazing little old lady.

We like a room where we can see our vehicle from the window, however the parking lot did not circle the hotel and our room faced an empty piece of land. The view was nice, but not our usual view of our car. Our traveling companion had the opposite side of the building and was able to see both of our vehicles at once, so that problem was solved.... no worries.

It was not clean. The food area was spotless, but the rooms were gross. Shower was dirty and milky stains on wooden headboard. We had to clean the room before we wanted to sleep. Also, bugs (dead and alive) in pull out couch.

My husband and I stayed at this property for one night on Christmas Eve. The property was neatly decorated and thoroughly clean. The location was safe and easily accessible. The shower was spacious and nicely designed. The room itself was very comfortable and quiet. We did not even hear our neighbors. The breakfast attendant was extremely kind and professional. We enjoyed the short walk to the nearby walkway along the river.

I went to this place because I was having out patient surgery. I called the hotel after I booked it and explained this to them. My room was next to the elevator. Noisey with folks coming and going. The bed was hard and the pillows were made into balls making them a mess to deal with. I called the front desk and they said I could not move to another room because they were sold out. Their solution was to give me ear plugs. Very polite but uncaring. They increased my stress and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Between the noise of people coming and going and the bad bed I got no sleep. I placed this reservation over a month ago. Just being polite to a customer and doing nothing to resolve their issue is rotten customer service. I won't be back, I will tell friends and family about this and I will never recommend this place to anyone. Best Western failed me.

The king suite was very spacious. We didn't have any towels at check in but that was quickly remedied by the front desk attendant delivering them to our room. The fresh bagels at breakfast were really appreciated!

The location and parking were perfect. The bed was a bit too firm/hard and the pullout sofa bed was like sleeping on a blanket thrown over springs-very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good.

Nice room. Housekeeping was sporadic. We requested housekeeping daily, but when it didnt happen we were told we had to request it? Doesnt make sense. Still trying to get refunded for a charge that I was told was an authorization charge that would drop off. Had to contact customer relations for BWH with no results. Not happy. Would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was in nice condition for its age. The real upside was each member of the staff I met was truly great. Welcoming, polite, personable….just fun to interact with. Breakfast was good and the guy that ran it was delightful in addition to pointing out to me that my wallet and cash had fallen out of my pocket….honesty and helpfulness at its best.

They wanted $25, just to hand me a key early, so I could stay on the road to a planned event, and then be able to go straight to the room & bed late that nite, when I was exhausted. I didn’t want (nor had time) to even look in the room!! And i would have liked to have gotten a room closer to the fromt that way—maybe 1stfloor—but NO!

We had traveled 4 hours for a wedding that was to begin at 5 pm. The closest hotel was this one which was still 30 min away. We arrived at 2:45, 45 min. before check in which was at 3 pm. We were also traveling with a 1 year old. The desk clerk said we couldn't check in early, although there were available rooms for an extra $25 if we wanted to check in early. We were already paying $202 for one night, so declined. I realize we were a little early, you'd think that Best Western could have accommodated us. I won't stay at another Best Western after this, I've never been denied early check in when it's within the hour of check in time.

The room was fine but the breakfast quite poor. There was no fruit, no choice of cereal, the promised 'pastries' were non existent. What was there was ok but when asked about missing items (like knives) and food the response was that's all they had. I wonder what the "plus" means?

Good Stay. Front staff was nice. I don't know if she did this on purpose or not, but there were a bunch of guys behind me checking in (I didn't feel unsafe, just observation) and I am a woman solo traveler. When she gave me my key she just told me the floor but didn't say the room number or which way to get to it. It felt intentional for my privacy. I don't know if it was intentional, but if it was, I appreciated. Breakfast was good, even had Texas waffles.

Breakfast was great, lots of options. Coffee machine was awesome too! Hotel was nice, new, and clean. Rooms were quiet at night despite the hotel being full due to the upcoming solar eclipse.

The hotel is very clean and looks very new. The breakfast area is very nice and large, although the breakfast is a little incomplete. We had a problem with the shower faucet. They had to come twice to fix it, but they couldn't. We were 4 people and it was difficult to take a shower without being able to close or open the tap. The maintenance staff came twice but they needed to change a part but it was already 10 pm.

I always love staying at this hotel when I go visit my dad in Texas. They have a great breakfast and great customer service and their beds are comfy. They have everything you need.
