The stay was very comfortable, this lodge is close to Mt Shasta and many restaurants nearby. The campfire and s’mores they offered was very family oriented. Overall highly recommend this place.

We stayed at room 29 and it was really nice! Quiet and spacious. The lobby area is very well equipped. There are plans and plates to do some light cookings. The owner also offers free s’more kits!

While the room was okay and beds were comfortable it does have a tired and worn patina. For 1 night, for the price, it was worth it. The “restaurant “ is a small coffee shop with a muffin and bagel choice. A 12 oz latte and muffin was $12 with tip. Skip it and go into town for more options.

I really like the location and options to do while you are there. This trip was my third time staying in Mount Shasta, and our second time staying at LOGE. I love the fire pits, and communal kitchen, and on site coffee shop/beer and cider, and this trip we took advantage of the sled rental. The only think I would thing I would want to let future patrons know, is that there isn't really staff on site in a way. We arrived at 7:30, and luckily had called ahead to let them know, and they said the staff would be long gone. We weren't sent a room code to get in, but got one after about 5 minutes on the phone. Some people may prefer the hands off approach, but for the price you pay for a room, it's nice to know. And a kind group of young 20 somethings were confused when we used the kitchen, thinking they had rented out a whole cabin as an Airbnb, which would have been explained/cleared up if someone had been there when they checked in..... I would hands down stay there again, and recommend this place to anyone- families and party people!!!

Overall, great place to stay. We came with family and hung out by the fire pit and played Jenga by the BBQ. rooms were spacious and clean. There is no front desk, which is fine, and they have a 800 number to call with questions and someone always answers. We weren't really accustomed to this and needed towels, but no none was at the hotel. we managed, so not that big of a deal. we will def stay here again next Shasta visit.

The grounds were clean and nicely kept. The room was very clean and neat and surprisingly quiet. The decor was minimal however was tastefully done. I would encourage other travelers to use The Loge. There is a coffee shop and pastries available on site. Loved the atmosphere of the place.

The bathrooms for dirty and moldy. The shower leaked at the shower head look like it was leaking behind the wall. There was pools of water behind. The toilet is black mold everywhere place gave me allergies to flare ups. The pillows were pretty gross. None of the sheets are coverings smelled like they've been cleaned

Very bad molding in the bathroom, especially ceiling. Also quite dusty. We just went to LOGE Bend a week before. It was so much cleaner than Mt. Shasta.

Our room was very dark with very few lights. The room smelly musty. The bathroom needed repairs (chipped toilet and sink, hard to open door, moldy grout in shower, dirty baseboards). But the water was hot and strong and the beds were comfortable and clean with lots of pillows. It was too expensive for state and cleanliness of rooms. The bonfire was great.

This property was very disappointing. We had a family suite and the larger bed had an extremely uncomfortable mattress with a giant divot in it. It was literally a hole that you fell into. I think the frame was broken? There were big patches of mold on the glass shower door and the shower itself was not appealing. We didn’t use it. The grounds were not well kept (chairs knocked over, grill tools out and rusting, and no staff to be seen). It was very disappointing given that we’ve seen other Loge locations and were excited to stay here.

Usually stay in a different hotel in the area but it was sold out when I tried booking for our upcoming trip. This place turned out to be a a great substitute. Loved the spacious rooms and the bed was so comfortable. Only wish there was a deadlock in the rooms and the bedframe was breaking apart , so our room wasn’t as kid friendly. It was a great stay nonetheless!

This property is clean and comfortable. It’s close to downtown, and the management team is prompt and friendly. The two queen beds, while comfortable, had frames that stuck out enough in the small room that caused a few stumbles by both of us. It could be resolved by either smaller bed frames or a larger room for the double bed rooms. Overall, Summit View Inn is a great value and we recommend it!

The check-in process worked seamlessly without any tech issues. It's a bit disconnecting to stay at hotel without any people contact, but no complaints. Bed was comfortable enough. Towels were in good condition and okay size. Neighbor was very noisy till about midnight. Shower stall was dated and had only one shelf . Shower head was weak with water pressure and had hard water stains.

I like this property. It’s a neat concept and anytime one of the sleeping options is a hammock hanging from two sides of the room, that’s pretty cool. It has a very hipster/mountain vibe. Very eco friendly and has a couple of very cool amenities. A yeti cooler in the room along with a nice size mini fridge and microwave. The beds are good and the bathroom is a good size. Did I mention that they have boot/show dryers in the room! A couple things I didn’t like and keep me from giving this a 5 star rating; the heater is an in widow AC/Heat unit that was loud and annoying as hell, you had to choose to either not sleep or freeze and the fact that we could see light coming all around the door (no weather stripping) didn’t help with the temperature issues. Overall I liked this property and the concept, they just need to apply a little attention to detail.

This used to an awesome place to have a beer, food and meet fellow outdoors people. But now they have closed the bar and restaurant the atmosphere has totally gone. They still advertise a bar and restaurant on Expedia. Their check-in procedure is terrible, call a number, get a text, fill out a form, then wait for a text with the room key number. Took over 25 minutes to get the text. Unbelievable. All said, after that they did issue me with a refund, which was very nice of them/

The office was closed when we arrived. I was on hold for 45 minutes with the number they provided to call, and finally had to throw in the towel and get my kids to bed somewhere else. If I had known they had no one in the office to check in with and get a key code from on Sunday nights, I would not have made the reservation.

No staff on-site for day of booking. Had to call someone to get a key code for a room that was already occupied! Rooms had no way to secure them from others getting room code and coming in to the room in the middle of the night like we did to another customer. We left the hotel and found another place to stay. Owners refused to provide a refund.

I am moving from Oregon to Nevada and arrived at 435 pm exhausted with my dog and cat. After lugging them upstairs, the code didn’t work. Went down to the office and they texted me another code. Still didn’t work. They sent an employee up the stairs with me. Third time with the pets. Still didn’t work, so they gave me a different room. No apology for the inconvenience- If I had gotten there 25 minutes later, I would have been out of luck with no room after a long drive with 2 animals It’s weird to me that there is no emergency number to contact after 5 if there is a problem with the room. I was too scared to close the door when I took the dog out to do his business which was really challenging with a cat that was trying to escape. I put her in the bathroom and noticed thank goodness that the window was wide open with no screen. Additionally, the bathroom tub was very grungy. I realize that it’s not the Ritz, but dirty rooms don’t do it for me. Small tv’s with no cable only streaming with your own passwords. I personally would not stay there again. I’m not a picky fancy person but I need to have some guarantee that I can get back into my room if I go out after 5pm and a clean room.

The room was nice. The check in process was difficult. The code we were given wasn’t working so we had to message the phone number since there is no one to check you in. Also the power went out for hours. We heard it was due to a fire nearby but it was still inconvenient .

The location was only 20 minutes from the Mount Shasta ski Park, which was wonderful! The room was comfortable, clean, and designed to work for folks, traveling to ski, or use the mountain for biking. One thing that needs to be updated is once you’ve made the reservation the communication regarding the contact phone number and how to check in needs to be communicated. I’m not sure if that is the responsibility of Expedia, or of the hotel administration, but that was our only difficulty with our stay.

The inn (which is just a motel) is a few minutes driving from downtown Mt. Shasta and we ate at a good Thai restaurant and two coffee shops a few minutes away by car. There are no sidewalks along the street so walking our dog in the area was problematic. The room bed was fine but the room was dark with little illumination from the various lamps. The significant problem was the bathroom. The bathroom had no exhaust fan for removing moisture from the room during showers, and the bathroom door stuck in place after showers, and my spouse had to open it by pushing from outside the bathroom. The bathroom had a sliding window but no screen, and a vine had grown into the bathroom window and frame (between the two sliding glass panes), so we couldn't open the window very far. I reported the above to the management and they didn't take any action. There was a 1/4" gap in the vinyl tile flooring at the entrance to the bathroom, that someone could cut their toe on. I provided that info to the management, and they said they would look at it after we checked-out. For the price, we expected a better-maintained room and more responsive management. They could have at least had someone cut the vine growing into the bathroom window.

The Loge was in a very convenient location between the downtown area and major roadways. It was quiet, safe, clean and welcoming. The staff was enjoyable and attentive if anything was needed. I would definitely stay there again.

LOGE Mt. Shasta was a comfortable and convenient place to stay overnight while road-tripping with our dogs. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Parking was right out side our room and made loading/unloading very easy. We would stay here again.

This is a great, affordable stay and the service is above and beyond! I love how close it is to downtown. Staff is friendly, helpful. I love the smores fixings they set out at 5pm that you can step right outside to the lovely bon fire to make. The rooms are great, bathrooms are a little dated but very clean.

This used to an awesome place to have a beer, food and meet fellow outdoors people. But now they have closed the bar and restaurant the atmosphere has totally gone. They still advertise a bar and restaurant on Expedia. Their check-in procedure is terrible, call a number, get a text, fill out a form, then wait for a text with the room key number. Took over 25 minutes to get the text. Unbelievable. All said, after that they did issue me with a refund, which was very nice of them/

Lodge website says they have a restaurant, they don’t. No clock by the bed, no hair dryer, no coffee maker. Trains nearby run after 10 pm and before 6 am. (There is a kettle to boil water and instant coffee in the room, really?) Still, it is better than a tent. I will not be back.

This location was nice but definitely limited to things. Says amenities included but theres no staff available for help and when it’s snowing can’t really use anything. Also, the “cafe” that is listed on their site isn’t even accurate. We thought we’d be able to just order food and when we got there. It was only little pastries that didn’t even look fresh and coffee/ tea. No other food. We had to drive to go get something and yet before I booked here they said that the cafe would be available and food on site which wasn’t true. We made it work and drove but thank goodness the weather wasn’t too bad.

We booked this hotel specifically because there was a cafe onsite. We arrived on motorcycles after a long day riding and we were looking forward to eating onsite and not having to get back on the bikes to ride to town. There was a sign posted in the window of the cafe that it had closed permanently in May of 2025 but their website still advertises a cafe onsite. Also, there is no staff onsite. Everything is done, including check in, via text. I tried to call with some questions prior to arrival and could only get an answering machine. No one got back to me after leaving a message. Next time we're in the area we'll find a different hotel to try.

While the room was okay and beds were comfortable it does have a tired and worn patina. For 1 night, for the price, it was worth it. The “restaurant “ is a small coffee shop with a muffin and bagel choice. A 12 oz latte and muffin was $12 with tip. Skip it and go into town for more options.

The grounds were clean and nicely kept. The room was very clean and neat and surprisingly quiet. The decor was minimal however was tastefully done. I would encourage other travelers to use The Loge. There is a coffee shop and pastries available on site. Loved the atmosphere of the place.

It's a comfy place, full on good amenities, bikes and snow gear included. Yard fireplaces, nice coffee shop, a really nice place to stay. Definitely we'll come back.

The room was okay but the bathroom had mold and the shower looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The kitchen facilities and cafe were closed and we were not able to cook the food we brought with us. Please update tour deacriptions and make sure showers are clened properly.
