It was clean and the host was helpful. Parking was a little tricky.

Although we never met the property host the remote check in and check out instructions were clear and easy to manage. The room was very small but well appointed with a nice coffee pot (and real coffee!). Parking was cramped in front of our room but there was more if we had needed it.

No one on site. Self check in was not easy. Terrible parking. Very small room. The area is nice though.

Simple, clean, good-value lodging. Room for a U-Haul (there’s a side driveway for tall vehicles). Lock box checkin is not my favorite but it is expedient.

This motel is in a great location in the downtown Mount Shasta area. It’s an easy walk to get downtown,, and there is a small grocery store very close. The rooms are very small, but mine had everything I needed including coffee station, microwave, refrigerator, tv and hairdryer, and parking is right in front of your door (unless someone takes that spot first). The decor is dated, but everything was clean and I was comfortable there. I’m sure I will stay here again. I struggled trying to open the lock box upon arrival to get my key, as the office is not always open and there’s no attendant, but eventually I got it.

The stay and property are lovely, clean, and quiet. There is no required interaction with personnel at the property, as the key is provided via lockbox. The accommodations were clean, parking was relatively plentiful and easy. If you have parallel parking talent, even better, but there are other options as well. It's a fairly easy walk to downtown within ten minutes. This is a very economical option if you are interested in visiting Mount Shasta, with easy access to downtown. There are provided amenities such as free wifi, coffee, microwave, and a mini fridge which was perfectly functional, even the freezer! Would be even better if the carpets were regularly shampooed and if the showerhead was updated. All in all, it was a good experience, and we would stay here again.

The Monte Blanco Inn is an older (1940s) auto court motel with 14 rooms. The Inn, or at least my room, 14, is in need of remodeling and updating. Everything was clean, lots of towels, a real coffeemaker - with coffee in a jar! The bed was comfortable and the blanket and comforter were heavy and warm. And I could park right outside my room. But the bathroom really needs a total remodel. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough, so water leaked out on the floor. Plus, the pan in the shower, was not level and the drain was slightly elevated, so the shower would not drain completely. Multiple changes made over the year to the walls were evident. The rooms - it was a two bedroom unit - were probably designed for double beds, but now held queen beds and those beds took up most of the rooms. Again, the room needed remodeling. It was okay, but I’ll probably look for someplace else the next time I stay in Mt. Shasta.

Convenient location, walking distance to local restaurants, bars, shops. Modest, clean and quiet room. Parking is free, easy to find and convenient. Fast and easy communication with customer service. Overall experience is good!!

I love the contactless check-in. They text you a code to a lockbox that has your key. It's a very small older motel, but I stay here whenever I can. The only thing I don't like about this place is the lack of an ice machine. I bring my own empty tray and make ice in the mini-fridge's freezer.

This is a self check in. No people contact and you park your car directly in front of the room.

The property was clean and the room was very clean with some comfortable blankets and soft towels. The location is also close to a coffee shop and restaurant in walking distance I was very pleased with this inn

Room reeked of mildew and cigarette smoke. Everything else adequate, eg bedding, towels, frig, microwave but odor overwhelmed all. It's a non-reception hotel which is fine, but they were late confirming access codes versus committed deadline, but was worrisome since there was no way to confirm the reservation. Once received, lockbox access and room key worked fine. A short walk to downtown restaurants which was a plus.

Good place to crash for the night if you’re visiting Mt. Shasta. Clean linen and coffee refills were provided. East checkin and check out. Room was small - about 3 ft on each side of a queen bed with no room/cabinet to store bags There was some mold in the bathroom which needs to be checked out. Ample parking on property

Good value. I stopped in mt Shasta twice a week apart. The first time I stayed at the Inn at Mount Shasta- it was excellent and is worth it to spend a bit more. The second time the price differential had gone up and so I stayed at this inn instead. I think it was good value but not particilarly nice. Good location. Could be cleaner (the things that should get cleaned between each guest were all clean but it is apparent that they don’t do deep cleanings of rooms often enough). If you are finicky, you might not like it. I’d stay again if it saved me some money, but would pay an extra $25 to stay at the Inn at Mt Shasta instead.

The entire room was updated and the bed was comfortable. Checkin was easy. And it is in a nice location. However, it was quite dirty. When we arrived the toilet seat was up and had urine on it, the floor had pieces of toiletpaper and the wall had toilet splash marks right next to it. Cobwebs on the lights, baseboards are white and covered with dirt and hair. The floor wasnt swept or mopped well, if at all. I wiped up some water from the shower with the bath mat and it was muddy. The bathroom door doesn't close all the way, so when you shower the steam makes the fire alarm go off. The lamp was missing the knob to turn it on and off. Over-all, if it had been clean I would stay again.

The room we were in was extremely dated. Anyone could break into our room using a credit card if we weren’t using the deadbolt, which you cannot use while away from the room. Lampshades & tops of picture on wall, lights were extremely dusty & hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Although the fridge was updated with a separate freezer on top, the power outlet the fridge & microwave were plugged into had a short & they wouldn’t stay on. So we could not freeze our ice packs for our cooler & some of our food spoiled. The room had a very faint foul smell & my husband walked from the bed to the shower once without socks & left black footprints in the shower as he showered. I refused to remove my shoes the entire time we stayed as the carpets I’m sure are original to the building & appear to never have been steam cleaned. We arrived late, so our choices were extremely limited. Because it was only one night & we had been driving all day & were exhausted, we chose to stay. Despite this, the shower worked great & there were no bugs. Be aware, the rooms are extremely small. There is only enough room to walk around the bed. No place to keep your suitcase up off the floor.

The property is older and is being upgraded. Very clean and staff was attentive.

Room was nice, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Heater was loud and the curtain arrangement made it impossible to both block out the light and let the heater work.

Beds were comfortable, I liked the lock-box for the keys for arriving a bit late in the evening. The rooms were tiny and very hard to manage in with kids and ski clothes/food/etc.

This hotel was extremely affordable. I was expecting even less considering how inexpensive it was. The room was very tiny, but we were only there for one night, so considering the low fee I was satisfied. Check in and check out was very easy due to the fact that they send multiple text messages.

The property is well located, close to downtown and tourist attractions. Everything was clean, but the room's layout was a bit strange. They have plenty of space, but everything feels very cramped. It would be nice to have nightstands for all the beds.

Loud refrigerator that disturbed sleep. Room is small but nice so be prepared. Could use a bath mat in tub for safety and grab bars.

Unfortunately we locked our selves out while unpacking because the doors automatically lock so we had to call the owner. He was there in minutes. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The most important thing for me in any stay. The room is clean and has everything you need. Also very quiet. And, the coffee was tasty. Hard to find good coffee in any accommodation probably because you often find those tiny coffee makers. There is normal sized coffeemaker in the room so you can have a decent sized coffee. Highly recommend!

Never actually talked to anyone in person. It was all done by text message but I arrived in town a few hours ahead of check in. I text and asked if it was possible to check in early. It was hot and I was on my motorcycle and just wanted to relax. Someone got right back with me and I was able to check in a couple of hours early. Thanks for accommodating me! Will stay again in August.

Very comfortable bed and very clean. Automatic checkin didn't work. Ended up having to call several numbers to get someone to come. The rooms need some work. I don't mind old, but the rooms needed repairs in the bathroom. Definitely need to get their automatic check in system working.

When we arrived, the office door was locked during business hours, after ringing doorbell twice and waiting a few minutes at the door, someone finally opened the door. I said "hi, I have reservations for tonight. And she looked very confused and walked back behind the counter, and then a child came into the room and asked my name, and then the adult handed me a key. We requested a room with two queen size beds. When I entered the room it was a very small room with barely enough walking room around a single queen bed, in the next room was another extremely small room with a queen bed in it with no more than a couple feet of space around the bed. The bathroom was extremely small and we could barely fit between the sink and the shower to get to the toilet. The blinds on the window were stuck open and it was starting to get dark. As I was trying to fix the blinds and close them, I noticed a few people standing outside of my window looking in at me and my family. I realized that it was relatives or family of the hotel owner. They also stood around our car, looked in the car windows and looked at the license plates. It was very odd. The floor of the room was very dirty. Our socks turned black. The beds were extremely tall, and the mattress's were very very soft, so soft it was hard to get into bed, or roll over during sleep. No ice machine. No cable. I would not stay here again.

It is a small room, but it is clean and very quiet. Located in the heart of Shasta City, it is conveniently within walking distance to restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores. The room key is retrieved from a key box, so you don’t have to meet hotel staff, which provides good privacy. However, I needed a band-aid and a spoon, so I asked the woman at the front desk—who I believe is the owner—and she kindly brought them to me. She always greeted me with a smile, and I am truly grateful for her warm and friendly assistance.

Check in is online. Very easy to find lock box. No need for keys. I like that system. Very clean, has everything I needed…microwave,fridge,coffee maker, clean and good smelling sheets and towels, hard wood floors, great bathroom that can accommodate wheelchair bound customers, small room but very practical and functional. I love the area. Would definitely comeback again. Most of all the room has no cigarette smell or any kind of smell. It just smells fresh. I know so because I am an extremely allergic person and this place is very good for me. The bed is comfortable as well. Thank you for maintaining this place well.

Absolutely love the small room. Very cozy and they had fresh coffee and creamer with real coffee cups!! The bed was super comfortably.

Arrived at midnight and directions to key were good. Easy to find and get in. Great bed, nice hot water. Real coffee with coffee maker. Haven’t left room yet.

The bed had a very unique wooden headboard in the bathroom and I had a pedestal sink walk-in shower was real flooring instead of carpet had a 12 cup coffee maker, which was totally awesome extremely clean room and wonderful blankets. The kind that are down they're very warm but white just absolutely perfect.

For the price in this area, it is a great stay. The communication has been clear and plentiful and everything was as they said it would be. It is strange to not interact with a live person, but it works. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of clean towels and nice mugs for the coffee. The mircowave and mini fridge work well.

The room was appointed quite nicely. It was very clean and special treats of a bottle of sherry and chocolates we found on a tray. Fluffy white bath robes were available for lounging. A wonderful breakfast was brought to the door which included yogurt, boiled eggs, a bagel, and English muffin and orange and an apple. When I requested that it be packed to go, they most happily did it for me. This facility is only located one block off of the main Avenue where you can find many wonderful restaurants the staff were very helpful. I only wish that I could’ve stayed longer.
