Hotel is in a good location, about 1min walk from the subway. Comfortable room. Shampoo soap and conditioner were supplied. Amenities like tooth brushes are available in the lobby if required. Nice lounge area with coffee at ¥100. There is also water dispenser in the lounge. Launderette has 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, wish there are more machines as it get busy at certain time of the day. Wish the cleaning of the room could be improved as dust could be seen on the pendant light in the room. Overall very satisfied with the hotel. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

The room we stayed was outdated. The smell (moisture/ damp odor) was strong that we had to blast AC from time to time. Not sure if it's because the Bathroom Vent was broken or weak. Bed was ok, but pillows were very uncomfortable. There were only 3 Wash/Dry so imagine the hassle when you plan to wash your clothes. I had to wake up 7am to wash and yet, people are already waiting. Close to subeay which was good, some restaurants in the area around 11am opening till late night, losts of convenience stores as well. If you plan to just sleep and go, the hotel is okay. More spacious than most we've been.

The hotel is more spacious than the other places ive been to in tokyo and osaka. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and amenities were convenient. However, the problems we've experienced were their tv options. We couldnt mirror our phones to the tv or log into our netflix, etc. In the osaka hotel they had a cool function where we could view the status of the laundry facilites. I think that if they fixed the tv issues that would complete this whole experience. Other than that they offer 100 yen for hot coffee, a water dispenser and other things like bath towel, toothbrush toothpaste, cotton pads etc.

Nous avons passé un séjour globalement agréable à l’Hôtel M’s Plus Shijo-Omiya, bien situé et propre. Le personnel était aimable, l’emplacement très pratique pour visiter Kyoto, et les installations de base semblaient modernes. Le personnel s'est occupé de recevoir nos valises avec Yamato et de nous aider à les renvoyer ensuite. Les points négatifs : la chambre était malheureusement trop petite pour que l’on s’y sente vraiment à l’aise, et la salle de lavage (laundy) avait trop peu de machine par rapport à la quantité de clients et du coup l'attente est trop longue, on a trouvé une autre laundry de quartier pas trop loin. La salle commune en bas mériterait un peu plus de nettoyage. Malgré cela, c’est une option correcte si l’on accepte un espace restreint en échange de la localisation et du budget.

Very nice and helpful staff. Great common room on the first floor with seating and microwave. The room was comfy. The bathroom had a vent but no fan so there was black mold on the ceiling, walls, and bathroom door. We were able to easily clean off the door with one of our towels. Otherwise it was a nice stay at a convenient location.

Serious concerns regarding cleanliness. When I went to the 2nd floor to use the laundry facilities, there was what appeared to be a pair of boxers lying right outside the elevator. I could see the cleaning staff on the floor so assumed they would clean it up, so went ahead to the laundry room. However, when I left they were still there so I went to the Front Desk to tell them. On top of that, the sink if my room had been draining poorly since I first got in, so on my last night I decided to take a closer look. I found a disgustingly large amount of hair (not mine) tangled inside. Clearly the cleaning staff never bothered to look. It took me less than 5 minutes to fix the issue and don’t even want to imagine how long that pile of hair was in the sink. Truly disgusting. I brought this up to the Front Desk when checking out and while they apologized, didn’t offer any reasoning or explanation. They also didn’t seem that bothered by it. I will never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone considering the lack of attention they give to the cleanliness of the hotel.

We heard everything on the street from sirens and cars honking to people walking by which was not our experience at any other hotel on our trip. Blackout curtains were lacking, the pillows were like sleeping on paper they were so thin and the bed was incredibly hard. If youre visiting from outside of Japan, maybe pick a different hotel.

Very good hotel. It was spacious rooms and had a safe and area to hang clothes. Toilets were great. Only a slight smell to the room, but we think it was from the water. Amenities were great! Bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was outstanding. We were able to have our luggage sent here and send it to our next hotel as well. Would stay here again.

Fint og stort værelse, rigtig pænt og det var nattøj. Der var til gengæld mega koldt og aircondition systemet var en hovedpine at finde ud af. Ved ikke, hvorfor den overhovedet var tændt i januar. Hver gang der havde været rengøring var den slået til igen og der var derfor virkelig koldt, hver gang vi kom tilbage på værelset, så vi var nødt til at sætte den på “opvarm værelse”. Den larmede også en del om natten. Wifi var ekstrem dårlig for at sige det mildt, hvilket var ærgerligt, når man prøvede at planlægge ens dag med Google maps eller finde vigtig og/eller inspirerende info om området og aktiviteter.

If you stay in one of the street-side rooms, you are in for a raucous loud night every night. Things will go quiet, and then big cc motorcycles will throttle down the street at 3:00 a.m., then sirens with loudspeakers announcing something in Japanese will jar you awake. One of the worst sleep environments at a hotel I've ever slogged my way through.

The hotel is perfectly situated in Kyoto. There are a lot of restaurants and stores within walking distance of the property. I love the communal dining space. A huge thank you to Fazira and Masayo in reception. They provided helpful information that made my stay a fantastic experience. Arigato gozaimasu!

Apesar de ser ao lado do metrô, ele não vai te levar aos principais pontos turísticos. Ônibus é a principal maneira de ir e vir na cidade. Se puder, fique ao lado da estação de trem. Facilita muito, principalmente para quem vai fazer bate E volta. O Staff da recepção alterna em pessoas super atenciosas e gente sem paciência que parece ter nojo de você. Pedi ajuda em uma tradução e a pessoa empurrava meu celular e não me deixava me aproximar para não ficar perto dela. Me senti muito mal e sai sem a resposta que precisava. Não voltaria a ficar no hotel.

it's alright not what we would expect for a 4 star hotel, got charged for 600 canadian dollars for 2 night stay if we couldve shared a room with my mom and wont let us in for an extra 1 person in a room with 2 beds, but made us booked another room plus another thing my sister made a reservation and had their daughter with them with 3 beds and still charged an extra charge for a child. Not really good for families. Worked at a hotel before and we're not as adamant about an extra person, just a money grab I think. Anyway, we will not stay in this hotel again, so expensive. Even coffee you have to pay 100 won for a 300 cad/ night hotel not worth it when 150 cad stayed at Osaka had free coffee, free ramen every night and free ice pops. Very disappointed. Joan

Great location. Easy access to multiple bus lines that stops at Shijo Omiya. Also the Randen line train to Arashiyama is located steps from the hotel. Rooms are smaller for western standards but typical for Kyoto. Clean hotel with helpful staff that spoke English. Hotel also sells bus/metro passes which makes it convenient for foreigners. Overall would definitely stay here again.

Located very close to the train station and various bus routes. Easy check-in and check-out process. Room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. For us we were spending most of our time out in town so the small room was perfectly fine to sleep and store our belongings for a few days.

Where the hotel located, it was very convenient and easy accessible to public transports. There were lot of convenient stores nearby ,so no worries if you needed something to drink or eat in the middle of the night. The downside for me was that, there were no breakfast provided.
