Sleep Inn & Suites College Station near University

As a relatively new hotel, I would of thought it would of been in better condition. Maybe we received a "lower tiered" room because we booked thru a 3rd party. I don\'t know. But when we arrived, the front desk agent was great. The lobby looked clean and inviting. The elevator ride sounded like the speaker was blown as the "dings" of each floor passed was loud and obnoxious. Thankfully the key worked went we got to our room as we got sent up to the 4th floor. The room at first appeared clean, but upon turning on the lights, we noticed that the "wall decor" behind the TV was peeling off, the face plate of the alarm clock was missing, the coffee table was quite scratched up, the couch was sagging and uncomfortable, and the main light in the bathroom was out. But I think the worst 2 things in the room was the HORRENDOUS coffee the hotel provides and that the bathroom sink would back up (to the point of almost over-flowing) when you would wash your hands or brush your teeth. And it would take 10-15 minutes to drain! I wont be staying at this hotel again.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hallways and lobby smelled HORRIBLY of cat urine or some ammonia smell. It made getting to our rooms a very unpleasant experience as we had to hold our breath. We traveled as a family and reserved 4 rooms total and all of the rooms were clean and stench free but every member of our party mentioned the cat pee smell without prompting. I would not stay here again due to the smell alone

Good breakfast, some things need fixed. Upholstery on sofa in lobby and wires hanging from ceiling in room. Still there over several months.

The check-in agent offered no directions toward my room nor were there signs visible from the check-in counter. It took a bit of wandering around to find my room. The Daikin HVAC thermostat remote was difficult to use; no instructions were available. As a result, temp control was difficult. The shower was moldy; the shower curtain rod was broken; water easily got by the curtain and covered the floor. In the ceiling, electrical wires dangled from where something formerly resided. Desk cabinet drawers would not stay closed. Lamp lighting was bright white, as was the bathroom lighting. There was no thought to ambience. The microwave turntable did not rotate. The hallway walls need repair and repainting with the many gouges present. The TV and the remote worked well. The bed was comfortable. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Stayed two nights. Parking lot was shared with an events center, so parking was a challenge. Location too close to highway traffic noise.

I really enjoyed my stay. It’s right across the street from the hospital, and the beds are big and comfy. The AC and fridge were both ice cold, and the free breakfast is AMAZING. Free coffee in lobby 24/7, and a nice selection of snacks at the front desk. Safe parking, lots of street lights. I will definitely stay here whenever I’m in college station.

The rooms were clean and stuff was very attentive. The condition of the hotel overall was good, the complex is in need of some cosmetic maintenance, some walls are scratch up in the halls, bad caulking work in bathroom make the place look not so good.

AC didn’t work properly. Toilet wouldn’t flush normally. Broken baseboards in bathroom. Broken tile ar shower. Couch in lobby had stuffing coming out. Wouldn’t stay there again.

We stay here quite often and we visit our granddaughter at the university. The price is right the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is very good. The lady who does the breakfast is very accommodating. The only thing I noticed this time that would be a negative as I need some new furniture in their lobby because it is an impression of being rundown which the rooms are not that way.

The staff were very nice. The hotel building exterior is in need of repair. The facade is starting to fall off. Maintenance seems to be behind on taking care of basic wear and tear on the interior. The cleanliness was not up to par (all minor) of previous visits to this hotel.

There was a pill that my son almost got a hold of crawling on the floor that wasent cleaned, there was so many scratches and black spots on the walls. The bathroom door didn’t even lock. The lamp shades had so much black on them from being dirty. I would rather spend over $100 for a clean room and working locks.

Carpet was disgusting room was dirty

There was hair in the shower. The lady at the front desk said she couldn’t do anything about it and housekeeping was gone for the day. I told her that wasn’t going to work and I wanted it clean. She said she would clean it after 8 pm because she was checking in people. I checked in a 3:00. She came up at 8 after I came to get her. She removed the hair only. I told her I wanted it cleaned with cleaner. She finally did after she was asked to. I won’t be staying here again. The room was dirty as well. There were stains on the curtains and furniture. The wooden furniture had pieces missing.

Property was not well taken care of. Bathroom was moldy, toilet did not flush properly, paint was peeling, towels were dirty/stained, toilet seat was wobbly, and handle was broken off of bathroom vanity. Bed was comfortable, but comforter was dirty and/or stained. The whole room felt very humid. The floors felt wet, which was gross. I wouldn't stay here again.

Terrible. We ended up going somewhere else. The room smelled like mildew. The bathroom toilet clogged. Just overall not clean. Would not recommend

I arrived at 2:30 PM and asked about early check in for 3:00 PM. I was told that they didn’t do early check in. There were only six to seven cars in the entire parking lot, so they couldn’t have been that far behind. My other concern was when I got up in the morning, I killed a bunch of roaches in the bathroom and on the desk.

Filthy property. Room had mold. Smelled bad. Dirty carpet. Disgusting and unacceptable. I have several pictures as proof.

Room AC had a funny smell, shower was very dirty and shower glass had heavy soap scum, carpets weren't vacuumed, stains on the walls. Location and price was good though.

The room was full of mold. Bathroom was as dirty, pillows had stains, big stains in the carpet, ac unit was leaking and wall was moldy. Smell bad.

Our room was a very nice size, and the bed was quite comfortable. Check-in went pretty smoothly and the staff member was polite and welcoming. However, that person was new and could not answer questions we asked about surrounding restaurants, etc. Our main complaint was that our room was near the ice machine which was quite loud. It was in use quite often starting at around 6:15 AM, which made it impossible to get back to sleep. We would probably stay here again in the future, but we would request a room farther away from the ice machine. Breakfast was sufficient, but with fewer selections.

The ac in the first room was very noisy. The ac in the second room was also very noisy, and there was visible mold above it.

Check in was quick & pleasant. Got in my room & the a/c sounded like an alien space ship about to go into warp speed. Clerk was quick to change rooms. Got in my “new” room & the a/c wouldn’t come on & it was already hot in the room. Again, called the front desk & he told me to stay put, he’d bring me a key to yet another room, this one across the hall. Wish I had gotten his name…he was quite an asset! Room was fine except there was no place to put soap or shampoo in the shower except on the floor. Towels were sparse, but clean. Parking lot light right outside my room flickered quickly all night. I always bring black tape to tape curtains to the wall…problem averted. Room & sheets was clean, bed was comfortable. Wi-fi kept bumping my phone off. Overall average night’s stay.

The AC and heating unit in the room was super noisy with a loud rattle and high pitched squeal. It was impossible for me to sleep through the noise and we had to turn it off for the first night, making the room too hot to sleep in. For our second night, we ended up leaving late in the evening to drive 3 hours home just so we could get some sleep.

It was definitely quiet which is always a plus. The air conditioner wasnt working properly & was very loud like it was broken.

We were staying for 3 nights. It's pretty clean property in fairly good new condition. What was wrong: we could not sleep first noise due the noise from our neighbors. The walls are very thin. Our room was not cleaned for our entire stay. And breakfast was very limited, breakfast hours were only until 9am (we were late)

Room was okay. Bathroom needed some repairs to ceilings and wall but was clean.

Only real problem was a noisy air conditioner. Had to turn off to get some sleep

This hotel is really dated and poorly managed. Our room was spacious & neat, but the shower was gross. The hotel was not even a quarter full & they put us in a room right by the elevator. Super noisy & paper thin walls. Everytime we asked to speak to a manager, the "kids" working there said she was not there. Needless to say I will mot be staying here again & neither should you!

The staff was very friendly as always, and breakfast was very pleasant because your staff is very friendly.

Got there 1:30pm and asked if the room was ready. They said it was. It if I wanted to check a hour and a half early there would be a $30 extra charge. Never had that happen before. I questioned it and nobody seemed to care. So left for an hour and a half had drinks at a local bar and came back. Had to hurry because we needed to leave by 4pm for thing we had planned. We know that 3pm is normal check in but never had a problem anywhere els if the room was ready and just sitting there like they said it was. I call this bad service with no remorse.

Room was decent. I found dead crickets as soon as I entered the room, no biggie, it’s cricket season. Shower was cracked around the drain and actually fairly sharp if you step on it right. Someone unknown was able to enter my room although I had the do not disturb hanging from the handle, they did not appear to be someone who worked for the hotel. I went to the desk and waited 10 mins to see someone and was told to come back later. I was concerned about someone else having access to my room where I was staying alone with my children. It was not a terrible experience but I definitely felt unsafe after the stranger entering into my room incident and not being able to get ahold of the receptionist to address the issue. I feel I should be made to feel safe, and if these issues occur I should be able to get in touch with someone to make it right. I loved the price but unfortunately would not be interested in staying again.

Neil. Elijah. Ms D best hotel staff. Cleaning staff found my jewelry and turned in. I received phone call they will be holding my personal belongings till i drove back. That awesome service. Thank you guys

I was taken aback at the front desk telling me I had to wait 40 mins before the 3 pm check in while pointing out their sign. Not even a courteous greeting - just not very welcoming to have at the front desk. Beds are comfy and room was clean. Walls are thin though, I could hear the cleaning staff slamming the drawers next door.

Staff was absolutely fantastic. From check in to having breakfast, the staff was amazing!

I was prepaid via hotels.com, but the check-in process still took nearly 10 min. The guy said the system was slow, but that was bit long.

It was right across a great breakfast lunch place and in a quiet neighborhood. Great places to walk and free breakfast great price for A&M family weekend. Very happy with it.

Located just a little off the highway and outside of the main town area but still so close. It was quiet, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was very good and the staff so friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

Around 8:15 the breakfast lady said she was shutting it down! Way too early… otherwise, the place was reasonably clean. It’s just showing its age.

Breakfast was nice, but their waffle iron was set wrong, cooking a minute less, prevented the burning. Room was clean, Stuffs were friendly. Only minus point was the entrance from the highway, it was almost unnoticeable. A sign could take care of that problem. Overall it’s a good place if you don’t want to pay a Hilton price but expect somewhat similar hospitality.

NO coffee at breakfast! I can overlook dirty bathrooms, remotes not working, noisy A/C, but Seriously forget the food, we needed COFFEE! No the coffee maker in the room did not have a tray and was nasty. but No coffee. I get you don't want to fix stuff, but NO COFFEE at breakfast is inexcusable! And a pathetic way to run a hotel. I ran hotels for 7 years, and if that happened, at the very least, I would have gone to walmart and got a Mr coffee and keep making pots! Along with the nasty room condition I could have overlooked for the cheap price, but no coffee was the worst experience of my life in a hotel! You should be ashamed to say you are the owners! Do you ever even walk your rooms???

We had a very nice visit. Every staff member was very nice and accommodating. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast.
