La Quinta by Wyndham Wichita Northeast

Upon arrival we learned the pool was down for maintenance. The staff had said they were re-tiling the floor. We have stayed at this hotel many times for few years now. We could see into the pool area and nothing has been done except the chairs around the pool had been stacked. The note said they were closed from 2/12/24-2/19/24 I believe for maintenance. My kids were very disappointed and we still paid full price for our rooms.

Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and had a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed. However did not have hot water in the evening or hot water in the morning. Had to take a cold shower. Had oatmeal and banana for breakfast. The hot water they had to pour in the oatmeal wasnt even warm. The banana was so cold like they had been frozen. I have stayed at this hotel several times. This wasnt a good experience this time. It is a nice location to do shopping. Several restaurants and stores close ny.

Went on Labor Day weekend and thought it was a nice hotel but we were pretty bummed out that they had their pool closed for maintenance the whole time we were there since we only chose that hotel for the pool. Staff was nice and everything seemed well taken care of. Would have like to have more choices for their breakfast but it wasn’t terrible.

Booked this hotel on Wednesday needed to do some work online, wifi not working and they were not working to fix it. On top the customer service didn’t let us know until we read a sign with small print at the elevator when we asked the front desk people were rude and didn’t care. Terrible customer service and broken offered amenities.

We’ve stayed here many times and keep coming back because it’s been great experiences. This trip had some hiccups. Our family hung out Friday night in the lobby and the bar was closed. That was disappointing. I had planned on working over the weekend but the wifi was down the entire time. That was huge. There was only one elevator, which wasn’t a big deal to me since I never use it but my husband spent time waiting for it. The place was full this weekend. The coffee was room temp each morning. Those were minor things but are the reasons I didn’t give it a 5 star. The room was very clean and that is more important to me than anything.

2 day getaway to visit friends. Was planned to have a relaxing time at the pool and it was closed!!! Also bar was closed for no apparent reason. Only good thing other than cleanliness was that there were food and drink options in the area. Still very disappointing about the pool

Elevator was out the second day of the stay.

No hot water on Saturday morning and this happened at midnight and the property did not call anyone out till the morning as they did not see it as an emergency. They were hard to find to talk to to get answers and almost like they avoided everyone. They did state we would get a discount at checkout but of course no one was at the desk Sunday morning and hen numerous people were leaving.

The room was clean and staff friendly. The breakfast was limited and ran out quickly and not refilled. The elevators was not working so we have to haul our luggage up and down the stairs

I stayed here for the price and location. I have been to this hotel several times. Cleanliness is always lacking at this site. Bathroom floor was dirty…found a dead bug by the shower that looked to have been there for a while?

Clean room

The rooms and linens are filthy. Pubic hairs on the “clean” wash cloths, pubic hairs on the shower curtains, stains on the towels, hair all over the floors and furniture like they hadn’t been cleaned in a month. I messaged staff after they texted to see how our stay was going but I received no response. We will never stay here again.

This hotel was unacceptably filthy. Just gross in every way. I should have walked out, but I was tired and just dealt with it. You have one job - provide a clean space. You charge me $130 to sleep, sit and bathe in the filth leftover from the person before me. Never again.

Very clean and comfortable

Nice staff, thin walls, good morning coffee, mold in shower, vague scent of mold in room but the room itself appeared clean. The provided shampoo and conditioner minis were both empty in both rooms I was in. No hand lotion. Reliable hair drier. Comfortable bed. Free parking. There's a giant sports complex next door which sounds like a lot of fun.

I thought the property was new it was in such good condition. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Great location- lots of good restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

Room was dirty, no blanket on bed, just sheet and duvet, sheet was stained. Old McMuffin in refrigerator, bathroom wall was dirty with toothpaste stains.

Yes. The rooms are always clean

The walls/floors/ceilings are very thin and transmit a ton of noise. You can hear every footstep above you, every voice in the hall and an appropriate volume of TV through the walls.

The room was spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great location. The breakfast had a good variety.

Room was ok, king bed was comfortable. The internet on the third floor was spotty. I kept dropping in and out. Breakfast was meh. Powdered scrambled eggs and sausage patties that were just ok. We did not use any other facilities.

Our room was very clean and modern and there were plenty of food and shopping options just right outside the property.

Internet was good. Breakfast was good and fast. Shower needs a new showerhead for better water pressure. Maybe it was because we were on the 4th floor. Staff was friendly.

This was a very good place to stay. There are a few restaurants and shops around the area, and the area around the hotel is generally quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. The only negative is that the walls are somewhat "thin", so you can hear people in the next room pretty easily, although not well enough to hear conversations.

Safe, nice variety of shopping and dining. The staff very helpful and friendly. Clean inside and outside the hotel.

Amazing staff and Alyssa really saved me a lot times. Great great stay after a rough start at another hotel.

Great location, clean rooms and decent breakfast. However, there was NEVER staff at the front desk. We waited over 20 minutes when checking in for someone to come up even after ringing the bell many times and yelling towards the back hallway. There was a worker sitting by the front door and he told us he couldn’t help or get us someone because he was “clocked out”. If our rooms were refundable we would have left.

In Wichita for an interview and had a family emergency with a loved one rushed to Wichita hospital after a car accident and staff was kind enough to let us go to hospital before coming back to get ready for interview and having a late checkout. Very much appreciated and will continue to stay here and recommend to others!

There were no carts. When speaking to the host we were told a sign stating keeping carts overnight in the rooms would do no good . Host was rude and unhelpful.

We checked in Saturday afternoon around 5-5:30. The young lady at the check-in desk was very friendly and pleasant. Got into our room, showered and went to dinner. Came back and relaxed a while before going to bed. That’s where the pleasantness ends. Sunday morning went down for breakfast. Breakfast was fine. Went to the front desk to get a drink for my wife and was taken aback when I found out what they wanted for a bottle of soda for my wife. I guess it was my own fault for asking the girl, because that’s exactly what she was, at the counter to repeat the price. She copped an attitude and snapped “we have to make money too”. Needless to say I was a little surprised and a lot pissed off by her attitude. This was not the same girl who checked us in. We later went down to report a mess in the elevator area and got more of the same attitude. Same girl. We asked for our towels to be replaced because we’d used all but one towel. They came while we were out for dinner. Didn’t take the dirty towels and washcloths. I tossed them outside our door because there was a housekeeping cart sitting in the hallway. Then this evening, we come back from dinner and our dirty towels were still in the hallway. As well as the cart. My wife called the desk to inform them that the cart was still in the hallway and sitting in front of the fire extinguisher. Whoever my wife spoke with said it would be taken care of. Everything is still where it was. It’s now after midnight.

Convenient location for dining, for shopping, & Tanganyika. The lobby was clean. Our room was clean. We would stay again.

Everything you could ever want or need is within minutes from the hotel. We had our nails done, went shopping, and had dinner all close to hotel without having to get on a major highway. It is super quiet at the hotel also due to it being at the cul de sac of the complex. Highly recommend.

The location was fabulous

I like staying here because its fairly new and clean. Its a little away from the main street so there's not much traffic noise.

I thought the property was new it was in such good condition. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Great location- lots of good restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

It was affordable and within walking distance of the Wichita Sports Forum where the activities we were adding were at.

Breakfast could be better

This was the first time I felt like LQ let us down. Breakfast was not up to standard. No eggs, no milk, no bacon, no type of potatoes.

Easy check in, cleanliness, great staff. Only downfall was there really wasn't much of choice option for breakfast.
