This was a nice property overall. I was asked if I wanted a quiet room with a small window. Didn’t realize how small the window would be, but it was really quiet. Slept good. Also, no real parking unless you do valet. There are garages and street parking for a fee that is not connected to the hotel. Valet felt super secure though. Good place to walk to restaurants and get to the transit. Would stay again but would rather a city view.

Staff are efficient & helpful. Our room was huge and clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of seating. Best kids pool/splash pad although it may be over chlorinated/under ventilated. Valet was fast & convenient. I liked the option to text house keeping & valet service instead of waiting on hold. Roof top had a pretty view. We stayed here twice & would likely pick it again if we have the good fortune of seeing Portland again.

The hotel was very clean, modern and updated. The pool was awesome for the kids (wish there were a hot tub or sauna). The included breakfast was phenomenal. The beds were comfy and the I LOVED the clean bathroom products. Front desk staff was friendly and the gym was also well equipped and extremely clean (even had a Peloton). CONS: Parking and location. Parking was $60 USD a night plus it was obvious they expected a large tip and were quite rude with 15%. If you needed access to your vehicle you had to do so with an escort each time so that was inconvenient. It is close to bars, shops and groceries but I would consider it "downtown," NOT the Pearl District. I would not stay there again (with my family) for that reason. I love the safety and parks of Pearl, for families this location was not ideal and my daughters and I were constantly approached.

Awesome place and the staff was all nice. Though we did not use the Valet parking we did witness a car being valeted that entered the garage and once the door shut there was most definitely tires squealing up the ramp. May want to look into that a little. Our stay was great and the room and pool were exceptional. Could use a hot tub though. We will be back.

Great stay. Front desk very helpful. Getting into our room early in the morning was very helpful minor note: when we entered room 734 on 10/20, there was an empty water bottle on the floor & a pair of black panties. We threw both away and all was fine

Overall average stay - The facility is safe and friendly. The room was not cleaned sufficiently. There was a swab on the floor behind a garbage can and the entry floor area was sticky with debris all over. Possibly just an oversight as I was allowed to check in early.

The good: location is great, so many things to do in the area. The pool looked like a great place for kids, we didn't go in, but it was always in use and the kids looked like they loved it. Breakfast is included and was pretty good. The hotel overall was pretty clean and well kept. The bad: my only real complaint, which is a big one, we checked in Thursday, no housekeeping came on Friday, but I noticed the sign that said we get housekeeping every other day so no biggie. We came back from our day out Saturday and still no housekeeping. I had to request 3 times just to get towels and tp.the trash cans were overflowing, not too happy about that. You shouldn't have to beg the front desk for tp at a hotel. The room was never cleaned and we were there for 5 days. Even after requesting multiple times. There was a card with a QR code to tip the housekeeper which was not necessary since they don't ever clean the room. The hotel overall is decent, but I'm not going stay there again based off the service we received.

Dirty! Hair and black mold in sink, smelled very bad. Called to make sure we could use Amazon on the tv, was told we could and that we would be able to cast on it. we were not. For almost $300 for a room it was not worth it! Fridge had crusted milk in it and was also dirty. Not impressed.

clean and well run. Friendly staff and easy valet parking process. The only thing that could have been better was the A/C in the room...shut on and off for 1 min at a time all night long. But it kept the room cool!

The staff was very professional agreed to you right at the door. I would highly recommend the valet parking. They are so quick and eager to please you and with three dollar an hour parking on the street. The valet parking is well worth the price. The room was very comfortable they had a balcony where you can view the fireworks.

Our room wasn't big enough for two queen beds. The bed we would have slept on was so close to a wall it wasn't possible for someone to get in on that side. There weren't enough outlets near the bed. We could have used two more. The breakfasts were quite good.

This is our favorite hotel in Portland! We stay here every time. It is new, clean, has great bedding and showers. There are 500 sq foot rooms that aren’t that much more. That makes us feel like we’re at home and not crammed into a hotel room. The breakfast is always great and the staff are all wonderful! There is street parking around the hotel almost always (unless there is an event). But don’t leave anything in your car and park as close to the hotel as possible.

I loved how easy it was to walk every where. The staff were all so friendly. One of the cleanest rooms ever. My only complaint was the bed was really uncomfortable. I can normally sleep in most beds but this one was challenging.

WE always stay here when we spend the night in Portland. Price is very reasonable for the area in the Pearl. As an example, of their hospitality we always stay there on our anniversary every year and they sent up a small bottle of sparkling wine, candy and some cookies AND a card with the signatures of the staff. By all means please consider this hotel on your next trip to Portland.

5 Stars I had a fantastic stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Portland-Pearl District! The valet parking was extremely convenient, and the $48 per night fee was well worth it, especially with my Tesla being fully charged each night. The property was spotless, and I felt very safe throughout my stay. The front desk staff were exceptional—super friendly, professional, and attentive to every need. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!

Kourtney, from Hampton, helped us with a great smile. She made sure everything would be special! She gave us a corner suite with a Welcome Gift for our 33rd anniversary. We were touched to receive greetings and a signed card from the staff which is very uncommon practice for such a busy weekend! Thanks to Kourtney and everyone!

I stay at this property frequently for business. This trip was a very different experience. The front desk contact with Matai was wonderful however the breakfast staff and valet parking left a lot to be desired. The valet gentleman was rude and off putting. I checked my car in when I arrived and called for the car the morning I was to check out to load my bags and check out early. When my car came - the driver was flustered by traffic and drove my car unacceptably- it was difficult to watch. Then gave me a hard time and said I could have just asked them to load my bags for me so he did not have to bring the car. When I explained that ALL other trips to this property, the valet had asked that I just call for the car like normal, we could load and they would take the car back to the garage. I have never seen this gentleman before but the claimed to be the valet parking manager and if I complained it would just be to him - so go ahead and complain. Unacceptable, won’t be staying at this property in the future.

The valet team was amazing and went above and beyond. The hotel was short on luggage carts and has no bellmen but Aidan (valet) helped us and carried our extra luggage to our room. She was amazing! We also enjoyed our experience at the wine bar/restaurant. My only complaint is we requested housekeeping around 11:30pm on the first night because my sister became very sick from heat stroke and was told there is no housekeeping. I asked if they would bring me cleaner as there was vomit around the toilet. They never brought it up. I finally went down to the front desk after 3 requests within 1 hour and was given cleaner and a rag to take care of it myself. Not the best service from your night team.

DAN IS THE MAN! During my stay in different towns, I frequently ask the front desk of the hotels where to eat and what to see. Dan provided exceptional service and never steered me wrong, giving me 2 great dining recommendations and helping me schedule a tour of the Columbia River Gorge. The hotel was a very clean escape from the otherwise dirty streets of Portland.

It’s a perfect location for shopping and dining. All walkable distances. But so many homeless people were on every single street. It wasn’t easy to walk with two kids. The hotel was safe and breakfast was really helpful in rainy morning.

Great hotel experience w/great free breakfast! While the $50 parking fee is in line with other Portland hotels I’m still annoyed I have to pay for parking. Finally while the area is convenient to all major attractions it’s also close to a lot of areas where the unhoused congregate. Not unsafe but unattractive.

Location was fantastic! We were able to walk to several locations for food and drinks, play pool and shuffleboard, see some live music and do some shopping. This is the better area of Portland, we felt safe the whole time.

The staff here were great! Helpful any time I needed help or information. The hotel and room were both extremely clean. The location was fantastic for walkability and near to the Amtrak station. Though the surrounding area had a few spots I would avoid at night, I never felt unsafe. While I didn't use the pool myself as I was traveling alone, it looked amazing for kids and is enough of a draw that I'd like to bring my kids back to enjoy. Overall, great stay and value for the price!

This is a perfectly decent hotel. Comfortable, clean, quiet, good free breakfast. It seems to be right on the border between the affluent part of downtown and the skid row part of town. In one direction there are cool brewpubs and bookstores, and the other direction are people sleeping on the street. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Amtrak station which was convenient, since that's how I got to Portland. This hotel was very nice. I'd stay again.

No kitchenette in room 612 room very spacious, clean, showing signs of wear & tear, bed surrounds, bathroom fittings. Impossible to operate remote control. Pool most suitable for kids, gym good. No shower near pool but instructions to shower. Multiple bandaids & dirt in & near pool after a busy day. Breakfast mainly carbs, sugar. Little variety. A few fruits. Nice pancakes / irons.

We loved this hotel and are coming back at the end of the month. Our room was fantastic, and the front desk was so wonderful. The only downside would be breakfast ends early at 9:30, so if you want to sleep in after arriving late at night, you can’t. The gym is 24h and had everything I needed. The bed was super comfy!

It’s a 5 star hotel if your traveling from Washington in to watch a blazers game you can walk across the Brooklyn bridge in 15 minutes. I was there to watch Steph Curry the rooftop patio was my favorite along with the beautiful sized swimming pool . Breakfast was hot and ready at 6 am with delicious biscuits and gravy. Check in and out took less than a minute. Coffee was available 24 hours and other guest were vibrant and friendly.
