Drift Hotel

Short one night stay. Place is very nice, lots of parking. Only thing missing is a Pool. They have the space for it.

Great hotel, it has everything you need, and the kayaks, paddle board, bikes and snorkeling gear makes the whole difference

This was our 3rd visit and things have gone downhill. We had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready. The bikes were unsafe to ride and the kayak had a slow leak. We loved this place but might have to tey someplace else next visit

This is a fantastic getaway. It was an older motel building with lots of updates. Loved the digital check-in and response via text. It was so convenient. They give you a bucket and you have to take it to the office to get ice, but they have no issues filling it for you. The best part of the visit was the private beach. Oh, it's so perfect. It's quiet and secluded. They let you use their kayaks (just leave your id with the front off to get paddles). You can snorkel around the whole area. It was great, we saw some star fish, hermit crabs, crabs, fishes, and a small barracuda. There are swings and a hammock along with a dock. This was great. We loved it. They even have an outdoor shower after getting out of the water. Thank you Drift for such a wonderful experience.

The room was very clean, with comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The staff was helpful, but the window blind was broken and didn’t close properly, which affected privacy. Amenities like bikes and paddle boards need updating, they are old, bikes are rusty, and not enough during busy season. Overall, a comfortable stay but some improvements are needed. Thank you

the staff was really nice, the rooms are recently updated and clean, there is a dock that jets out into the Gulf with chairs and a little reef for snorkeling under it. They offer bikes, kayaks, and a paddleboard to use. Stunning sunsets right from the property.

Drift was quiet and peaceful. The location on the water was great. I liked the codes used on the doors so you don’t have to worry about keys or cards. The available bikes and kayaks are a great addition.

Awesome stay and very clean. The beach, free kayak and bikes were a bonus. We had some WiFi connectivity issues the first couple of nights but it got better as the week progressed.

Beach and oceanfront property,seems to be at a premium in Key Largo these days and The Drift Motel,offers a very nice although small,oceanfront,beach and dock area in which to sun,enjoy some sand and swim or snorkel a bit if you choose.Or of course just lounge on one of the comfy beach loungers or cabana covered areas.

The toilet was dirty and had not been cleaned-hairs were on the sink and in the shower.

Our room had ants crawling everywhere in the bathroom and the kitch had roaches. Very disappointing.

Beautiful setting. Great outdoor space. It’s pretty and the bed was nice. But heads up that the wifi was total crap. I couldn’t get online for more than 15-20 mins at a time if I was lucky. It made it difficult to impossible to check email or stream any entertainment. Incredibly frustrating. The sink in the bathroom was super small. Hard to wash hands or face without making it splash the floor. There were smashed bug guts (I could tell by the wings and legs left behind) in various spots on the otherwise white walls of the room. Disgusting. And beware the windows didn’t seal shut properly leaving big gaps that mosquitos and other bugs get through easily. It also let in any noises that happened to be around. Given all of this it is unlikely that I will stay here during my next visit.

The property was lovely. The room was clean and the towels very soft. The bed was ok.

Room lacked ventilation. Smell of cleaning chemicals was overpowering upon arrival. Asked for another room but none available.Had to keep door open but no flow through. Couldnt open a window because they had been rendered inoperable.

The room was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. There was a nice little beach/dock area with available kayaks and paddle boards.

Absolutely loved staying at Drift! The beach area was clean and beautiful. The water was clear and calm. My only minor complaints is there was no mini fridge and the shower was tiny. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed for one night. Cute place with friendly staff. They offer a lot on site too so which is nice. The room was big and nice. No complaints!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Keyless entry made going to/from the room easy & convenient. The beach area was very inviting! We appreciated the kindness of the office staff.

It’s a motel not a hotel. That should be clarified. The bathroom was tiny and long in the tooth. The main room was fine.

Quant hotel with a small clean private beach and pier with chairs to sit on. Rooms were small but very clean and modern. Only complaint was when watching tv at the end of my evening the connection kept going on and off. Not enough bandwidth maybe?

This hotel was an extreme disappointment amongst an otherwise fabulous trip. Despite a 3 night prepaid reservation, we left after one night. Here is why: This was my first trip to the Florida Keys, but we have had good prior experiences at small guest houses and resorts around the Caribbean and I was looking for a similar vibe. It seems clear that these small cottages dotting the Keys are a classic laid back, no-frills travel experience for many…and that is all I was expecting. But usually those places are marked by the love of their hosts who bring the sense of people who enjoy the spot passing on their enjoyment to their paying guest. This place has beautiful photos. But absolutely no love. The hotel consists of one long narrow lot with a row of about 12 cottages running from the beach to the road. We were assigned a cottage between the office and the road, clearly the less desirable side. The room was very clean and had been recently furnished by someone who had a Wayfair account and new how to search for “modern costal”, but who clearly never actually stayed in one of the rooms. The following items that I consider standard for even the most basic hotel rooms were missing: a closet or anywhere beyond a hook to hang clothes, a dresser or anywhere to put folded clothes, an outlet one side of the bed, a bedside table or any flat surface next to one side of the bed, a reading lamp to use on one side of the bed, any sort of shelf of storage on the bathroom, ice (which was th

The room was nice and the property was beautiful. The people at the desk were very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book there again. I would have liked a dresser in the room. We were there for a week and had to live out of our suitcase. Also a microwave would have been nice. Other than that was great..

The property and room were clean. The lack of follow through from the front desk staff for late check in was frustrating. Also, the fees were charged for 4 people total in our double bed room but not enough towels or toiletries provided for our less than 13 hour stay.

This is a well maintained boutique style hotel. Its location was close to town, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The beach access was wonderful and even spotted a passing manatee. Staff was exceptional and friendly. Will visit again.

It was an amazing experience staying at the Drift. The amenities were perfect! Clean rooms and helpful and kind staff.

Every single team member was absolutely wonderful! The manager, Eric did everything in his power to make our stay memorable and perfect. Will be back soon!!

We had a later arrival (8p) the hotel but the staff text us our door code. Made it incredibly easy. And the views are breathtaking

We stayed here one night, after Key West and before our flight from MIA. It was a great choice for that, but I would come back to stay at the property. It is attached to a small quiet beach, you can swim and kayak off the beach. There is lovely seating to watch the water. It is a small property, with limited staffing, but helpful nice people.

An old property updated still had old charm. No amenities but a good location

The location is beautiful being right on the bay. This is a small property well taken care of. The location is great for going out to other trips. Key West is a two hour drive from here.

This is a small beach motel. It is in a great location if you want to explore the Key Largo and Islamorada. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. As with most hotels and motels in the keys, it is right on route 1 which can be a little noisy in the morning if you are a light sleeper. At night it was very quiet. It is not a party hotel and they do have quiet hours which we appreciate. They have paddle boards, kayaks, and bicycles to borrow. We used the kayaks for a quiet morning paddle.. Overall I really liked the motel and would stay again.

Drinks out on the adirondack chairs on pier in the evening while watching sunset over the Gulf, and then again with coffee while watching sunrise in the morning, were an absolute highlight of our trip to Key West. Reminded me of being in the Carribean Islands...

nicely updated motel, good seating areas beautiful bay views. swimming area, dock and other amenities. not too many dining options close

I liked the feel of the property. Felt like a camp site with a plus. Issues where the amenities paddle boards well paddle board just one, the amenities need an up grade, also it’s Florida it’s hot they only offer big bags of ice for sale this was strange. Nothing I listed is a deal breaker just could be improved on.

Great staff and the rooms were clean and VERY comfortable. You could tell that the bedding and mattresses were new. Only thing which is beyond their control was be prepared to drive everywhere for meals..etc. I missed checking proximity.

Drift is our go-to property. Relaxing, comfortable, great staff, Harrietts restaurant near by for breakfast. We will be back again and again.

Fantastic relaxing getaway. Chill place to hang out. Nice waterfront and swimming activities. Not posh by any means, but clean, friendly and comfortable accommodations. You will need to drive for food, so plan accordingly. Super friendly staff. I will definitely come back.

The property was very nice and the staff were very helpful recommending good places to eat and visit. Would recommend this to friends and family.

Not restaurant or snack machines around. Place to disconnect, you will have to drive around to get any type of food. Frigde but not microwave. Although i believe there are options with a small kitchenette

Perfect stop for two nights, restaurants nearby, nice decking overlooking the sea.

Very clean rooms. Very nice staff. We had three couples visiting. One room had fridge freezer and microwave. One room only had a fridge. And one room had fridge freezer. Not a huge deal but just kinda odd. Not really close enough to things that were walkable. Overall a nice place and reasonably priced.
