HOTEL MUSSE GINZA MEITETSU

The staff was friendly and the room itself was nice, even slightly on the large side by Japanese standards. The downfall? The elevators. The building has 13 floors and over 150 units but only 2 elevators. This means that you’re constantly waiting for elevators and they don’t even give you access to a stair case. On the day we checked out we had to wait almost 15 minutes as every elevator that stopped on our floor was full. Furthermore, the cleaning staff was also using the elevators causing further congestion. It seems like a very small detail but it was beyond annoying.

Very convenient location for central Tokyo. Rooms are standard for Japan, but small by US standard. Hotel provides kids amenity kits if you’re traveling with little ones. Breakfast was also very good and reasonably priced as an add-on. No frills in terms of facilities (there are onsen in the area), but self-service laundry was great for those traveling with family. Would definitely stay here again next time in Tokyo.

The hotel is in a great location in Ginza, just a few minutes away from the Main Street. Tucked in one of the “side streets” so it’s very quiet. The room was very clean albeit on the smaller side (which seems to be very common in Tokyo, so no issues there). The option to have your room cleaned and towels changed everyday is great too. 7 Eleven access through the hotel entrance is super handy for last night snack attacks. We extended our check in time as we were very tired from our flight for a very reasonable amount. You can cast content from your phone on the tv easily if connected to your room wifi. Bottles of water and face masks replaced every night and left by your room door. PJs left on the bed too (super comfy too!). We booked breakfast for our whole stay but didn’t eat there more than once, as it’s traditional Japanese. Again, nothing wrong with that, but as somebody with some food intolerances (dairy) I found there wasn’t much I could eat. The elevators are either very busy or on the slower side, so take that into account if you’re in a rush. The sink in the bedroom gets tiring pretty quickly, but as the room is quite small I guess there’s nowhere else to put it. Found the AC to be quite temperamental, it was either very cold or very hot. Most of the staff we interacted with were lovely and very helpful, but I did find there was a small language barrier.

The room was spotless, not as spacious but still comfortable. 7/11 connected to the hotel making it super convenient to get whatever you need without going anywhere. Staff was very friendly and amenities were available at your pleasure!! The hotel is very nice and we do suggest staying here.

Excellent location, close to shopping, restaurants, and transit although it is also very walkable. Breakfast buffet was great quality/variety. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Bonus that the hotel is located right above a 7/11.

This was the nicest and most spacious hotel we stayed at during our trip to Japan. It’s very close to restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and has a 7-Eleven connected to it for easy access to quick eats, souvenirs, and an ATM. Beds were cozy, rooms were immaculately clean, and most rooms had a view of the city. Wish there was more variety of simple breakfast foods to eat as most of the buffet options were pretty to look at, but didn’t satisfy our hunger. Would definitely stay here again for the amazing staff and convenient location!

Great hotel!! Only negative was that the elevator always stops on 2nd floor reception when leaving hotel :D Access to 7-11 and its ATM is very nice. Shimbashi station is 10 minutes by foot!

I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well. Facility offers coin laundry that functions as a laundry and dryer and the staff will hold the laundry for you if you’re heading out and are unable to empty it out. They also have a very tasty buffet in this hotel and there is a discounted rate for hotel guests. Amenities were great! Loved the bath powders.

Pros: Staff was great and helpful. Property very clean. Convenient location. Cons: small rooms, uncomfortable beds and pillows, no gym or any facilities. Only two lifts, that always stopped on two. During peak times, it takes a while for the elevator. Tip is to go to the second floor to take the elevator instead of first floor.

We booked the Premier Twin Room and it was very big considering the small hotel sizes in Tokyo. The two beds side by side made it look like we had a huge King size bed. The staff was wonderful. They let us know about the AC maintenance way in advance before we even arrived in Japan. The hotel has a 7-11 on the first floor attached to the building which is open 24/7 which is very convenient. The hotel is within 5 minutes of Ginza 6 and many shopping areas.

Would not stay again. Common spaces very dirty. Both rooms we booked had stagnant odor, and hallway smelt very bad. Also lots of black spots on AC vent.

The service was not good at all compared to the three other hotels we stayed at in Japan. Room was filthy, restroom was not cleaned (very clearly not cleaned). When asked to get switched. Staff came upstairs too look at the room and did not apologize once. It seemed like a total inconvenience. They do not help with luggage and check in/out process was very unprofessional.

Hotel is great value for money given its location. We noticed a great amount of dust around our room (behind the couch and on shelves) that doesn’t help when you’re both allergic to dust. Quality of the room does lack a little bit.

Bath tub room smelled really terrible like toilet, probably due to humidity. The smell was spread around the entire room.

Clean and comfortable with friendly staff and amenities. Located in the heart of Ginza within walking distance of shops, Tokyo plaza and Ginza station. Would definitely be coming back and staying in the same place. All around 10/10 experience

I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of my trip and came back for the last 3 days. The room was okay and clean except the dust covering the mirror decoration on top of the bed during my first stay. However when I checked into the second room, there was a strong smell even though it was a non smoking room. It smelled so bad also the bathroom smelled nasty. I wasn’t able to change the room given that the hotel was fully booked. The staff are so polite and professional. The location is in the heart of Ginza, very conviennent for transportation (Ginza Line and Marunouchi Line) also there’s a 7 eleven on the first floor.

Great location, restaurant in the hotel for breakfast/steak lab in the evening was very good. My only complaint was that the room was very small - my wife and I stayed for a week. Otherwise, great hotel!

High end shopping area. Nice to walk around in. Close to subway. Standard twin room Room is exceptionally small. Entrance way closes off to create bathroom / shower area. Sink is in bedroom. It works but you’d better like who you’re traveling with. Everything feels new so that’s nice. It works for a night or two and if you don’t have much luggage.

Really small rooms, we had to place the luggage on the floor and stumbled on it to use the restroom.

A solid barebones propery in the heart of Ginza. Rooms on the back side stare at a wall (typical for tokyo) but mine stared into a men's bathroom. Room layout awkward with bathroom area about 1/3 the sq footage and sink in main room. Not a single drawer. Tv has no english channels.

The concierge personal was excellent. The only think I did not like were the beds, they were very hard, I notice the same thing in another hotel in Tokyo

We stayed in a premier double room on the top floor. Loved the high ceilings and layout of the room. It didn't feel too small or tight. Easy to do laundry. Breakfast was top notch! Lots of options and cute Japanese dishes.

I had such a wonderful stay here, and I especially want to thank the manager, Toko. He was incredibly helpful on my first night after arriving, and his kindness really made a huge difference. All the other managers and staff were also so friendly and welcoming to both me and my son. It’s rare nowadays to find a place where people genuinely care, but this hotel absolutely made us feel at home. It might not be the most luxurious or “top 5-star” hotel I’ve stayed in, but it has become my favourite by far. The warmth, support, and hospitality we received here truly made this one of the best decisions I made for our Japan trip. I can’t thank them enough — we’ll definitely be back.

staff was extremely rude when I asked a question at the front desk about the signs in the elevator.

For me the highlights were definitely the front desk service - from helping to keep the laundry post washing machine round, keeping the delivered luggage safe to the replenishment of room towels/water daily when we did not want the room cleaned but the most impressive part was the variety that the hotel breakfast provided - best dish was the fish for me. The room itself was small but I would say expected for Tokyo standards but the experience was A+ for me in regards to everything else.

Staff here is very nice. We paid a small fee to check in early around 1:30pm. Most hotels don't let you check in until the actual check in time, however we arrived to Japan at 3:30am so we were ready for check in early. It also rained on us during the walk from the train station- staff was so nice to give us towels and wipe off our jackets and suitcases when we arrived. They happily stored our luggage too. We stayed on a Sunday so not much was open on the actual street- it was a 5-10 minute walk to any action or places that were open. Overall great stay- we didn't get a chance to dine in the restaurant, however we had multiple stops at 7/11, that is attached to the hotel.

This is the worst service I have ever received in a Hotel.. After cleaning my room which I am a neat person the room appeared as only the bed had been tied even though I had made the bed myself that day and every day. I noticed the hand wash was nearly empty after cleaning and reported this to hotel staff. The staff on the phone were disrespectful, dishonoured me and we're unhelpful. I made a reasonable request to have the hand wash replacement made by 12 noon while cleaning occurred between 11AM and 2PM. The staff were unable to confirm this would happen. I had previously told reception that I had a bad back and the mattress was soft requesting that they replace the mattress. They refused and said they could not help me. I would NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN!! GREG TWO

It was our first trip to Japan and Tokyo. This hotel is in a good location for shopping, restaurants, and transportation to temples.

Location of hotel is hard to get taxis. I hated how the sink was in the living room area separate from the toilet and shower. The bathtub didn’t drain properly either. The hallway entrance was too narrow which leads to toilet and shower. Overall a cheap stay but should have booked a different hotel that faced a larger street so that taxis were more accessible.

In the perfect area, just a few minutes from the train station, a 7/11 connecting to the hotel, walking distance to the Ginza shops. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel.

Nice location in Gina where it is walkable distance to different stations. There is 7-11 right on the first floor of the building so it was really convient

Area was a fair distance from the metro with all the luggage but good location to shopping and small restaurants along with 7-12, Family mart and Don Quiote. Rooms were a bit tiny but good for sleeping and taking a shower. Nice to have a refrigerator and available microwave in the lounge to use.

This is a well maintained hotel. The room is not as big as the pictures shown on the website, but it is comfortable. The staff is helpful. We particularly love the restaurant on the second the floor, which was a treat.

Great location in Ginza on a quiet street. Great Japanese breakfast buffet but no western options, so after 2 days we didn’t feel like eating soup or fish and rice for breakfast, no fresh fruit. Great and attentive staff. They helped with sending our luggage to Kyoto. Only thing wifi didn’t work very well, slow and many sites we needed to open didn’t worked at all. We will stay here again. Centrally located n Ginza a short walk to the subways, trains, or the local tourist spots such as the open market and shrine. Our room was spacious by Tokyo standards. Staff was polite and courteous. The restaurant on site was excellent and I would recommend purchasing the breakfast option when booking. The restaurant offers 10% discount for dinner. Please note that check in is at 3pm. Staff will keep bags in the lobby while waiting for check in. They do not entertain early check in. I would stay here again.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and the rooms were very clean although on the smaller side. The location was good and close to the main shopping district in Ginza.

We stayed here specifically because it was in a great location and seemed to have a good breakfast. We were blown away with how many fun options they had to choose from in the breakfast buffet and we talked about it for the rest of our trip. The only thing that could have made it better is if the lighting was a little more moody in that area, we kept wanting them to turn some of the lights off haha. We'd definitely stay there again though! (we loved the pajamas too!)
