Ryokan KANADE

We stayed in the room on ground floor with a private garden. The experience was excellent with calm and natural ambience. Clean room and plentiful amenities. The Ryokan breakfast experience was outstanding, compliments to the chef and staff. The outdoor spa tub was an amazing way to relax after a day of exploring, totally worth the small charge.

This is a beautiful place to stay but infortunatelly the first night we found hairpins all over the place(main room, shower, toilet) I could have understood one , but i found a total of 6-7 hairpins so apparently the room was not cleaned properly. I took these to the front desk and they only said sorry, did not offer any cleaning or anything. I would have given it 5 stars but i expect better cleaning. The staff was friendly and the garden is beautiful. The jacuzzi on the top floor also was not cleaned properly and while we were in it dark things started floating around.

Beautiful spotless Japanese room overlooking the garden. Excellent toiletries. Rooftop bath. Exceptional staff. Five minute walk to Philosophers Path. Highly recommended.

Excellent room, beautiful garden available anytime, private garden was a nice addition. The outdoor private bath on the roof was great.

Lovely place, beautiful garden, cozy room and very kind and professional staff. I can recommend to add the positivity of using the hot bathtub on their rooftop as well.
