First time at Island Bay Resort and it won’t be our last! Only ten, individual cottages, all adorable! Our room was closest to the water, so cute and spotless! The grounds were meticulous! Tropical and beautifully lit at night. My husband caught fish off the dock and we enjoyed relaxing on their beach, which was raked daily with chairs and umbrellas provided. They also provide kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel equipment. If you’re looking for a place to stay for your next get-a-way in the Florida Keys, I highly recommend you book here! You won’t regret it!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabins were clean and well equipped. The beach area was amazing! Plenty of seating, umbrellas, a cabana, showers, kayaks, paddleboards and a large dock with water access. Would definitely recommend!

Quiet and tidy boutique property. Great little beach on property, across A1A is a convenience/gas store. Walking distance is a retail center with WinnDixie. Rooms are essentially individual cottage with kitchenette, walk in shower, TV and little front porch. Dock space for a boat, all water amenities and protected lagoon for floating. Tavernier is very quiet and an easy drive south to Islamorada and all the shoppping and dining. Friendly staff and good place to stay for extended time as well

This place was absolute paradise. From the moment you enter the gate to the second you leave, it is an absolute dream. It’s a tropical paradise but even better because it’s so small and so intimate. The beach is quiet and never too busy. The cottages are absolutely adorable and meticulously clean. The bay is AMAZING. We had coffee on our porch every morning with the friendly little lizards. We kayaked and saw green iguanas in the mangroves. We fed the snappers off of the dock. Our last day at the resort, we saw 2 large sting rays and a 7ft nurse shark swim into the shallow area and under the dock. We will be back again and again. Absolutely amazing and the owner is the sweetest.

this is probably the best maintained beautiful little resort cabana style inn. the property is well situated with a several different areas to hang out and swim or sun. parking is limited to guest so having friends over that are not booked in is not going to work well nor does the management really like it. but very lovely and a great place to hang out.

The property was beautiful with lots of lush tropical plants. The downside was that the interior of our unit was palpably moist. The efficiency aspect of the unit enabled us to eat breakfast each morning before heading out. The “beach” on the property was well maintained and provided gorgeous views of the water. Use care with the paddleboat - the rudder was not working correctly and we had to go in circles to get it back on land.

I don't think I ever titled a review "WOW." But it's finally time. This remarkable little place is a cultivated and designed environment of paradise. Behind a security gate (for which guests are given the code), is a row of adorable casitas. Each is wonderfully landscaped, and beautifully appointed. They sit along a stone paved alley that leads down to a private beach on the Bayside. All sorts of little places are available outdoors to relax, read, listen to small fountains, look out of the water, and watch the sunset. Included are kayaks, a paddle boat, and a beautiful little dock with Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset. At night the stony drive illuminated with fairy lights and electric torch lights. It is nothing short of otherworldly. The caretakers of this small property are so friendly, approachable and devoted to the needs of guests and the creative cultivation of the property (eg every morning they comb the beach sand like a Zen garden). The smallest of amenities are provided like dehumidifier in the room, insect repellent, and each little casita has a small kitchen. Truly one of the most unique, beautiful and relaxing, small resort properties in South Florida.

There is a laundry room, kayaks, private beach, dock, hammocks, games. If you’re looking to unplug, this is the place! A short drive to adventures, restaurants etc. gated community and very private. We absolutely loved it and will go back!

Cannot recommend Island Bay highly enough! Absolutely everything there that you could possibly need….. spotlessly clean , both accommodation and communal areas! Sue & Steve are a wonderful couple….. nothing was too much trouble. Only wish we had stayed longer!

There’s a reason all the reviews scored so high. You’d be hard pressed to find a more private and inspired place while in Maui! Fabulous doesn’t describe how well the grounds are maintained. The staff was equally excellent looking after your every desire. Directly on the beach with free use of all their equipment. I can’t say enough good things. You’ll regret staying anywhere else!

Stayed for a wedding down the street. This place is beautiful and so peaceful. The property is meticulously maitained. The rooms were very clean. Only stayed 2 days, wish I could've stayed for more.

The management team is very personable and pays attention to detail. The property is immaculate. Ocean front with great views! We enjoyed Harriet's breakfast nearby and a speakeasy called the armory. We were on our honeymoon and the staff made sure we enjoyed every moment! Laundry machines on site and quality coffee. Love this resort, we will return.

The property was beautiful and excellently maintained. Staff was dedicated, friendly, and helpful. Only negative was a slight unusual odor in our unit. While compact, the unit managed to have what was needed for a comfortable stay. A comfortable reading chair would be a nice addition.

Lovely oasis just outside key largo. It’s a strip of land where there’s 10 individual bungalows and ours was beautifully furnished. The grounds are well lit & the strip leads down to private access to a beach / marina which provides paddle boards / canoes & pedaloes. There’s hardly any access to beach / marina in key largo or around & all properties section off their own portion of the water. Bed very comfy & very relaxing. Hosts very friendly too. Thoroughly recommended.

This resort is great! Small run resort with great views. Small cottages that have a patio and a grill to use if you wanted to! The propert is beautiful and very clean! Kayaks and snorkel gear available to use when you want. I will def go back in the future

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Nicely landscaped, gorgeous views of the water, beautiful sunsets, safe and secure. Rooms are comfortable with a kitchen, oven, microwave and fully stocked with what you need to cook. The lovely couple hosting this property were amazing. Very hospitable and helpful.

What a lovely place to stay! We needed help with getting access through the locked gate when checking in because I didn’t see an email about the procedure that was sent a few hours before check in. The decor was charming, and they provided for a variety of amenities. We hope to return one day!

The beach is quiet and never too busy. The cottages are absolutely adorable and meticulously clean. The bay is AMAZING. We had coffee on our porch every morning with the friendly little lizards. We kayaked and saw green iguanas in the mangroves. We fed the snappers off of the dock. Our last day at the resort, we saw 2 large sting rays and a 7ft nurse shark swim into the shallow area and under the dock. We will be back again and again. Absolutely amazing and the owner is the sweetest.

Cannot recommend Island Bay highly enough! Absolutely everything there that you could possibly need….. spotlessly clean , both accommodation and communal areas! Sue & Steve are a wonderful couple….. nothing was too much trouble. Only wish we had stayed longer!

The management team is very personable and pays attention to detail. The property is immaculate. Ocean front with great views! We enjoyed Harriet's breakfast nearby and a speakeasy called the armory. We were on our honeymoon and the staff made sure we enjoyed every moment! Laundry machines on site and quality coffee. Love this resort, we will return.

this is probably the best maintained beautiful little resort cabana style inn. the property is well situated with a several different areas to hang out and swim or sun. parking is limited to guest so having friends over that are not booked in is not going to work well nor does the management really like it. but very lovely and a great place to hang out.

Loved everything about our stay. Such a cute little resort. Nice and quiet. Beautiful landscaping. Plenty of outdoor beach seating. We had a standard room which was still roomy and perfect for us and decorated nice. We both slept great every night. We did have a small leak under the bathroom sink and it was taken care of right away. Check in was easy and the manager was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent property; Spotless room, grounds were well kept, and a very nice location on the water. The only thing i didn't like was that we had to leave early and didn't get a refund for that. It had been booked only a day earlier so I don't think leaving early on this booking would have cost them a lost reservation from someone else. However, no refund was in their policy rules so I can't really complain too much and other than this minor consideration, i would highly recommend staying here. Its a beautiful spot.

Lovely oasis just outside key largo. It’s a strip of land where there’s 10 individual bungalows and ours was beautifully furnished. The grounds are well lit & the strip leads down to private access to a beach / marina which provides paddle boards / canoes & pedaloes. There’s hardly any access to beach / marina in key largo or around & all properties section off their own portion of the water. Bed very comfy & very relaxing. Hosts very friendly too. Thoroughly recommended.

The property was beautiful with lots of lush tropical plants. The downside was that the interior of our unit was palpably moist. The efficiency aspect of the unit enabled us to eat breakfast each morning before heading out. The “beach” on the property was well maintained and provided gorgeous views of the water. Use care with the paddleboat - the rudder was not working correctly and we had to go in circles to get it back on land.

Great place to turn off the iPhone and relax. Bring your snacks, build a charcuterie board or two and pop a cork. Wonderful calm area to kayak or paddle board even if you’re not a pro. Nice bay cove with iguanas! Sue and Steve’s hospitality is exceptional.

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Nicely landscaped, gorgeous views of the water, beautiful sunsets, safe and secure. What a wonderful place! Lauren & Justin have made this a beautiful spot to stay. It was comfortable, clean, very nicely decorated. We had everything we needed. The beach area was also kept very clean every day. Beach furniture is excellent. We stayed for 4 nights. Recommend C&C wood fire restaurant not far. Excellent pizza!

This property is such a hidden gem! Only 10 bungalows, all beautifully decorated, spotless clean. The grounds are so well kept and beautiful. There is a laundry room, kayaks, private beach, dock, hammocks, games. If you’re looking to unplug, this is the place! A short drive to adventures, restaurants etc. gated community and very private. We absolutely loved it and will go back!

The hostess/ staff was amazing! Walking the property check in and making sure everyone had their needs met. She even decorated and brought a cupcake for my husband as we were celebrating his birthday. Very thoughtful! Very clean and enjoyable place. Love the quiet no kids, relaxing vibe! Kayaking and paddle boarding along the coast was great too. The sunsets from the property were amazing!
