Comfort Suites Channelview - Houston East

The entire downstairs had an overwhelming odor of mold. The elevator had a broken fire access key. Smoking on just about every level. On my level (level 3), someone was smoking marijuana all throughout the night. They must have been smoking in the stairwell because I went down to grab something from my truck and the stairwell was full of smoke. Roaches all along the hallway. No towels in the room. Had to ask for some and still had to wait. Air conditioning would intermittently work even though the thermostat stayed on a specific setting. Sofa in the room had stains and smelled of feces and urine. Office chair was squishy wet. Door latch was missing. Would have switched but hotel (and others) were sold out (not to mention, I got charged an obscene amount+) due to the storms. Security gate was broken, back door to the pool would not secure properly, gym equipment was nearly non existent (looked liked the free weights had been stolen). I will NEVER stay there again and I would not suggest anyone ever do.

The elevators, ice machine and room phone fo not work.

There was no breakfast. Couldn’t get the remote to work went to front desk. The lady at the front told me they didn’t have anymore and she didn’t know how to fix it. Pool ladder fell apart as son climbed up it. Oh and the railing for the stairs is missing coming into the pool

There were no toiletries avaliable in the room. Hot water did not get fully hot The room furniture was outdated, sofa had a tear in it. Trash can outside of the elevator was overflowing with trash. Front desk was not consistently manned. Security gate was broken. Would not recommend staying at this hotel. Sorely in need of a remodel with better staffing.

I was at the location off Sheldon rd and i10 frwy. From the photos it look nice, and the out side looks nice. But once you get to the room it’s horrible. My remote did not work the who time I was here. The refrigerator needed repair and no one ever came to fix. They argue with you when you need more towels. Like I want to steal those cheap towels. The breakfast was okay but I have had better. The water pressure was very low.. And the laundry room was out of service the whole stay of 12 nights. Then one attendant charged me to wash my clothes and pocketed the money. For the money I paid not impressed and won’t return

The room door couldn’t open all the way because of the foundation. Towels were old and stained. The shower heads didn’t work, barely any water came out. The power went out so the doors to get in and out didn’t work the whole weekend. The elevator didn’t work.

We booked this hotel because it advertised as a buffet breakfast and it was convenient since we were traveling with 3 kiddos and upon check in we were informed they stopped serving breakfast last week, would have been nice to know beforehand. The room we got was a suite it was big but it was in bad condition, the couch had rips and tears in it and the walls looked like they needed work. Later in the day our toilet got clogged (must have been by a previous guest because we had issues with it on the first flush) my husband went downstairs and was told they didn’t have maintenance and the lady at the front desk told my husband that he needed to unclog it himself then she told him she would come up to do it for us, that never happened we had to go downstairs to use the bathroom before going out to town. While we were away my husband called up there to see if they fixed it or if they could change our room, we were told they would take care of it, 5 mins later we get a call that it’s fixed not sure why it took them that long to get to it honestly. Also, the whole lobby area is hot and humid, the ice machines do not work and the gym isn’t even a gym. I would never stay here again

Disgusting!!! The floors, walls and doors were filthy with bugers, food, drink spills. The air conditioner was covered in black and fuzzy mold. The TV, shower and toilet seat were broken. The caulking was peeled off in the tub. Holes and cracks in the floor. The fire sprinkler was so rusted. The fold out couch was so dirty. The pools pump wasn't running and was full of leaves. The handicap chair for the pool was broken wirh sharp metal edges and exposed wires. It was an awful experience. Not to mention they said the manager doesn't work weekends or holidays, so we couldn't even negotiate anything.

The shower was dirty when I arrived. The side doors are propped open with rocks, and lastly the main gate is “closed from 10pm-5am” and I was informed to call the front desk if I arrived after 10pm and no one answered the phone after multiple attempts.

No many snacks at hotel. No bending machines for soft drinks. When checking out no one at front desk.

I have never seen a more filthy hotel in my life. Dirt and debris everywhere. The Tv had its screen with what looked like a fist imprint. The rooms door lock was broken off. Totally unsafe. Bugs in the bathroom and hair on the sheets. The entire room smelled of mildew. The couch had a large vomit stain that someone put the odor reducer white powder on and left it that way. So disgusting We checked back out immediately and did not stay the night.

There was a hole in the ceiling the sheets had make up And hair. The towels were dirty. The place was musty ,walls had touchups of paint and the carpets were extremely dirty. There was a hole on the ceiling with mold and mildew around it. The nightlight by the bed was broken in half.

I will never stay at this hotel ever again! Room smelled of mildew and the AC thermostat on the wall did not work (had to get up and manually turn the AC off and on to control the room temp). The shower had mold/mildew all around the bottom to the point where I felt dirtier after taking a shower… The bed was wrinkled so bad that it looked like someone had just grabbed wadded up sheets and comforter and made the bed with them. Pillow cases had stains on them as well as bed sheets. In room couch was absolutely filthy and disgusting as well. Save your time and money and keep driving to stay somewhere else!

Rooms had not been cleaned. There were lots of hairs on our pillows and the pillows were wadded up cotton balls. Floors had not been vacuumed and bathroom was falling apart. I will not be staying at a comfort suites again and do not recommend thi s hotel.

Stinks, dirty and dead roaches in the lobby. Pretty much the opposite of everything you’d want in a hotel.

Let me say this place needs to be shut down, close and demolished. There were no amenities at all. When I say none, no breakfast, no washer nor dryer, hell there was no ice machine. The place was dirty. The carpet in the room was damaged and dirty, kept my shoes on at all times. Elevator was iffy it stopped while going up. If you were not back by 11:00pm you were locked out of the hotel. There was a hand written note that said called this number once the doors were closed and locked. The person at the front desk was always gone with a sign that said be back in 20 minutes. The TV remote had no batteries. The wifi would go in and out. You could not use it after midnight. The room didn't smell, low pressure on the water that did not get hot. If you took a shower at night there was no hot water. Everyone had used it all up. I had 3 visitors, (roaches). I didn't invite them in, but I did introduce them to the toilet. To advertise as a non smoking hotel on Friday and Saturday you can smell cigarettes and pop smoke when you got off the elevator. You can stay here at your own wrist.

Horrible, the room smells bad like on foot, the beds smelled dirty, there were cockroaches, the refrigerator was dirty with food...

Not cleaned

Upon entering there was a roach on the dresser. One small towel and one large towel. Went down to the desk Anna asked for more towels only to be given another large towel and a bath mat. The toilet would not flush or even fill with water. Other than that the bed and pillows were really comfortable but had a few stands on the comforter.

Tub area had mold. Bed sheets were dirty.

Room was hot. Water pressure super low and towels are dirty I had to use my shirt to bath. I hate I hate I hate.

When I got here to check in the lady informed me that this was the only room that she had and that if there was something wrong with it, that there was nothing that she could do for me, except for refund my money and let me go somewhere else. So I asked, should I expect something to be wrong with this room? She laughed, she said, oh no, ma'am it's just what I have to tell everybody. So I get my things and I come upstairs and I get here and I realize my room is super hot so I go to turn on the A. C it starts making a loud clanking. Noise and just shuts off. So I called downstairs and she said, I told you that if there was something wrong that there was nothing I could do except forgive you your money back and I can't even do that.Actually, I would have to let my bosses do that tomorrow. Like, why would they have the room available? If the a c did not work makes absolutely no sense.

I will say the bed was super comfortable. However, the lobby for sure smelled like weed. Their description lists that they have cribs but they do not. Almost all of the provisions shelves were empty. We were told breakfast started at 5, but at 5:30 nothing was set out. There are multiple elevator buttons broken. No phone in the room. It could really use a good cleaning.

AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING PROPERLY.

We were in 410 and 412. A/c in 410 barley worked, a/c 412 didnt work. Towels look 15 years old. Parking lot was full of litter. The people working there were nice, but who ever is the manager should be replaced. No ice machine???Really? This was probably a nice place in the past but its pretty bad, no very bad now! I could go on............

Front desk was always so rude and manager is the absolute worse. There was a mother and daughter who works there and they were great other than that HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY AT..

The young Hispanic male who we encountered when we arrived was very helpful and kind. We had a horrible experience at a different Hotel and it almost ruined our trip. This young man helped us and made our vacation much better. Got us a room quickly and genuinely cared that we had a comfortable stay. I will definitely recommend Comfort Suites in Channelview, Tx.

Love the staff

Desk attendant didnt know how to check in someone with a 3rd party. Room had a unpleasant smell. No cups in the room. I was given the wrong room at first and had to go back down to front desk to get the correct one. All this took forever.

First the receptionist couldn't find my reservation I had to call and HOTELS.COM SAID THERE WAS NO PROBLEM... BUT THE RECEPTIONIST CONTINUED TO TALK ON HER CELL PHONE.... THEN I RESERVED A SUITE KITCHENETTE AND SHE SAID THAT THERE IS NO KITCHEN IN THE ROOM AND THE AC IS BROKEN. PLUS SHE SAID THEY DONT SERVE BREAKFAST.... SO O vER ALL it was faulse advertisement... And she never was Able to check me inn... And she was supposed to cancel my reservation... But I see she didn't....

The front doors also lock at 11pm. When we arrived, there was a clear drug deal that me and my kids watched occur. When we checked in, the guy at front was nice. the emergency button on elevator is broken. The rooms are dirty and gross. The breakfast was bare and the bread was so stale it was as hard as toast. However, when we checked out, I needed my receipt and could not just leave, but had to wait 20 minutes or more for someone to appear. I said hello loudly multiple times, I called the front desk on my cell about 10 times. nothing. Then a woman eventually strolled over without a care in the world. I explained I was now late and needed my receipt and wanted to leave. She asked how my stay was and I made it clear I was not happy. She said oh okay. Handed me my receipt and I left. I would have changed hotels, but I did not have the ability to cancel by the time we got there without losing my payment.

The whole property, that we could see, was dirty. Our room had barely any pillows, sheets, or towels. The only upside was that the evening receptionist was great and tried to make as many things right as possible.

Front desk night staff guy name Pedro was AMAZING so sweet, nice, and just a pleasure to chat with, he most definitely deserves a raise for having to prep all the breakfast alone in this houston heat!!

The hotel was fantastic, but the surrounding area was less than desirable, but the hotel had good security and was fenced in so we felt ok , I would actually stay there again

The hotel itself was nice & clean. However, we didn't realize that we were going to be located in one of the more rougher locations. Cars are parked behind a gate that closes at 11pm. If you're out late you must call the front desk to identify yourself for them to open it.... Scary.... People around the hotel were walking at all hours, bums all over the place and the area is ran down. Looks shady, felt shady. However, there is a food town within walking distance(we wouldn't dare to venture on foot) it's close to a liquor store and a few fast food restaurants. The staff were almost 100% Hispanic and were predominantly nice. We had family that lives in Bay Town that were getting married which was the reason for our stay. Next time we're in the area we'll stay off of Garth now that we are aware of the options.

Service was good. Had options of food around the hotel and could walk to places. Staff are kind and nice. Very clean hotel. It even has a pool and a washer and dryer machines. I would recommend this hotel to families and friends

The area felt very unsafe. Building had broken doors with missing padlocks. After 11pm lobby and gate for parking are locked it’s hard to access the hotel. Bed sheets have holes and saw a roach in the bathroom. Had a 4 night stay booked but left by the second day. Definitely needs a-lot of attention from management.

No housekeeping whole stay. Exit doors prop open using a rock. Low shower pressure. Breakfast was not good. Morning staff was terrible.

This property was low budget..the rooms was okay but the halls the elevators all stunk really bad and the breakfast they serve is served in such a nasty unsafe unsanitary way.Oh and no one is rarely at the desk to services and the towels and shower curtains needs to be replaced!

There no towels in our room,NO breakfast,not even coffe in our room and the hotel looks neglected, there is no maintenance

It was awesome! Staff very nice . Breakfast always fresh.

The website said the hotel had a buffet breakfast,they have no breakfast at all. No blow dryers in room.,toilet seat was broke, room smelled like mold. There was a coffee pot but no cups.
