One thing we didn’t like was the £15 overnight parking charge in the hotel car park. Later we found a car park next door for £5 overnight. Otherwise the hotel was nice.

Very good hotel. Clean, confortable, good food, nice staff. Just a little disappointment about the "fitness center"... 4 cardio machines (mill out of service) , no weights e nothing else.

Great hotel only down side was no hair dryer in the room and the gym was locked up - you had to go register downstairs at reception rather then just use your hotel key card- that was a lot of hassle to wait at reception so didn’t bother using the gym which is a shame

Location was great. Modern reception and bar area. Parking was expensive but easy to use. Bedrooms need a refresh as quite dated. 2 small lifts in the property and only one with access to the car park. Both were in constant use and took a long time to access an available one. Recommend using the stairs if you are able!

The only negative thing so far is that one of the elevators is out of order and it is the only one that goes down to the car park. As a wheelchair user this was very inconvenient as I wasn’t able to access the car park. Had I been a solo traveler I would not be able to access the hotel.

Stayed in one of the suites, nice spacious room but couldn't see out of the windows they were filthy 😳 if you know you are expecting guests make an effort and clean the windows its the first thing you see when walking in, i know the weather isn't that good and the windows will get dirty but come on they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Breakfast was disgusting the so xalled scrabbled egg looked like slop the bacon well over cooked and rock hard and the hash browns full of grease and well over cooked..... will not be staying here again no way.....

Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Reception area very nicely decorated. Breakfast very good although overall cleanliness was lacking. Struggled to find a clean glass, chairs and tables full of crumbs when sitting down meaning we had to clean them down. Room itself was okay. Bedding was a little thin, tape over vents in window. Reception staff not interested, Reception area looks good, lifts really nice, Room was very tired, ground in stains on carpet, toilet not cleaned, someone short hairs all over the bath, shower over bath was good, bed was the most uncomfortable bed our family have every slept in, my wife and I spent most of the night trying to get comfy which was impossible, Managed to take some early morning pictures through out dirty window, lots of rubbing on the ledge outside our window. Breakfast was a nightmare, only a few staff on the floor who are extremely overworked, Very little food out, poor quality food, We cut short our stay due to the poor quality of this hotel, sadly I missed out on spending more time exploring Southport.

A good selection of Twin Double bedded and Superior rooms to suit our needs. The Staff were excellent throughout the Hotel. The Lounge area was comfortable and the Bar had a wide selection of drinks to choose from. We ate out on the evening so cannot comment on the evening menu, however the restaurant was busy. The self serve Breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of food to suit all. The only minus points were a shabby repair to our bedroom door, the bedroom window had been screwed permanently shut instead of being repaired and the door out to the outside decking area had a loose gasket which flew about each time the door was opened. Very minor points that could easily be attended to.

Room and hotel was clean and well equipped. The reception staff were friendly. Unfortunately our room was on the 2nd floor. The first night there they had a wedding on and my family could not sleep as there was music playing below us u til 12:30am and the bass was thumping through the floor. We were also on the same level as the fitness suit and any time someone used the running machines you could hear that thumping through the walls as well. Nice hotel but don’t let them put you on the second floor! Especially if they have a wedding on!!!

Hotel is convenient. On the sea front whilst being ideally located for the local shops, bars and restaurants. Double room was excellent - good size. Warm and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Delicious and plentiful.

lovely position of hotel very friendly staff unfortunately air conditioning not working so hot sleeping and my room had locked windows which i couldn’t open because it was next to a flat roof. They did give me a fan on the 2nd day. Breakfast good and plenty of choice Overall i think for the price really good value for money

Been coming here for years and Southport since 70’s both great but need fridges back in hotel rooms and work to progress with new Southport attractions. Vgood hotel/ location/ staff and for us was as usual “!Sunny Southport” in all aspects

Really could of done with a fridge with water in it in the room had too buy it from the bar also went down too the bar in the morning too but more water and the fridges were locked so we couldn’t get water , bar experience on the evening well it wasn’t good dirty tables scream girls on a private function and staff that didn’t have a clue. Breakfast was poor never had scrambled egg that looked like porridge yuk , asked for well done scrambled egg and the chef said no because he was working alone, very disappointed

Love this hotel but decided to give the restaurant another chance after the last few times were okay, the restaurant was empty so they sat us down straight away then left us 40 minutes with no menus, we had to tell them we had been sat for 40 mins and considering we are regulars it’s just not acceptable. Food below average again. Pizza was all black underneath and just tasted of charcoal. Reception staff lovely and helpful especially Jean. But the restaurant staff service is horrendous needs drastic improvement. Love the rooms though and the hotel. The restaurant just needs big improvement as it could be amazing. The menu is terrible too needs a complete change.

Lovely modern highly accessible hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. I could make one small negative comment, when I was waiting to check in and the staff male member on reception consciously decided to ignore me and answer the phone, which I never really get. How can answering a phone call be more important than attending to a client, who is right in front of you, and who has already been waiting for some time? Simple, it can’t, and it’s pure ignorance and only serves to vex your all-important customers. This said, everyone else throughout the stay were all really helpful and generally nice. The main entrance could do with a little bit of TLC, otherwise the hotel has a really nice feel to it and the location is superb. We ate in the restaurant and the food was OK, but the drinks were very expensive. Overall we really like the place, but next time would look to stay on level 3 or above to benefit from a better view.

Great stay! Every member of staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Jake makes a crackin' margarita. Gorgeous view, lovely outside seating area, tastefully decorated all through. Rooms were clean, spacious, and the shower was divine. Even the other guests we encountered were friendly.

Hotel on first impressions looked great. Checkin was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. That’s where the good feedback ends unfortunately. Service at the bar was shocking and lacked any attention and was very extremely slow, even though not many customers. Tables around us on the Friday afternoon / evening remained not cleared for hours and there was even half full pint glasses in the men’s toilet. The terrace the following morning and lunchtime was no different and there were glasses and coffee cups from the night before and the breakfast. The terrace started getting cleaned at 1pm because of a private party. There is clearly a lack of management, accountability and structure unfortunately.

Probably one of the best experiences at staying in a hotel with my dog. I booked last minute for a stayover. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. The staff in the restaurant were REALLY good. Looked after me and my dog in the evening and at breakfast. Highly recommend.

Hotel is convenient. On the sea front whilst being ideally located for the local shops, bars and restaurants. Double room was excellent - good size. Warm and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Delicious and plentiful.

I was lucky to have a side lake view it was pleasant looking at the lake. Once the building works finishes it shobe great. The building works did not impact me. I am a lady solo traveller and felt safe,everywhere is an easy walk. Breakfast was nicely presented.

A stylish hotel, with comfortable and well appointed rooms. My stay spoilt by a complete lack of hand soap, shampoo and body wash in the “eco friendly” pumps in the bathroom. Only discovered this early in the morning during a cold shower - hot water lacking for early risers. Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight, staff struggling to keep buffet supplied.

Nice hotel in a great location. Breakfast was a shambles over the 2 days stay. Never experienced such a poor service in all my years of going to hotels. Despite a booking slot, we had to wait, tables not clean, kept running out of Milk, plates, cups, juice, food etc etc Also, staff not over friendly in the breakfast area.

One night stay for the fireworks. Stayed with our nephew, 2 double beds, plenty of room for us. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast choice - we timed it right though at 830. When we were leaving breakfast, there was a big queue and waiting times looked long (book in early). Walking distance to everywhere. Great location, easy parking. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Love this hotel but decided to give the restaurant another chance after the last few times were okay, the restaurant was empty so they sat us down straight away then left us 40 minutes with no menus, we had to tell them we had been sat for 40 mins and considering we are regulars it’s just not acceptable. Food below average again. Pizza was all black underneath and just tasted of charcoal. Reception staff lovely and helpful especially Jean. But the restaurant staff service is horrendous needs drastic improvement. Love the rooms though and the hotel. The restaurant just needs big improvement as it could be amazing. The menu is terrible too needs a complete change.

Very nice lake view. The room was nice and clean. The food at the restaurant was good, service was very very very slow and even forgot one of the dishes. Breakfast was ok but the coffee was very bad, no espresso machine available

Room good, but our stay was let down by an extremely poor breakfast. I can see why it was included in the price because you wouldn’t pay for it as an extra. It was cold, left out too long & look unappetising. Basic sliced bread. Luke warm coffee. Surely it can’t be that hard to produce a breakfast.

Great location and friendly staff but one lift broken again and it was last time we stayed. Rooms vary but this time is was nice. Bar had no snacks of any type. Drinks are expensive and the breakfast buffet is very poor

Bathroom could do with a deep clean but the stay was brilliant. Staff very welcoming, breakfast superb and bed incredibly comfortable. Big shout out to the air con in the room .... It actually works!!!!

Everything was good apart from the last night when the toilet started leaking and quite a lot of water was coming out and covering the bathroom floor. We reported it to staff and they dealt with it by putting lots of towels down, as it was late at night, but by morning they were soaking wet.
