We had the best stay here; if you are looking to relax and get away from the crowds, this is the place for you. The place is quaint but super clean and presentable with a small but stunning and peaceful garden and pool as well as unique and charming interior design. The staff are also very welcoming and accommodating to needs, including travel arrangements. The breakfast here is absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options from fresh cakes and fruits to interesting salads and savoury options. Truly a spectacular place with an atmosphere like no other; do not hesitate booking this beautiful hotel!

While we appreciated the proximity to train and that the Sorrento stop was only one stop away and about 3 minutes long. But the two stations are third world and the Sorrento stop is still a 10 minute walk to the main Piazzo. Hotel offers an electric cart shuttle which can hold five passengers but runs on the hour out and half back although it is only a ten minute ride. You need to reserve a seat and it books quickly so it is not easy to get a ride on it. Next option is a taxi which is 25 or 30 euro; right it’s about 2 km and very controlled and very expensive rate by local govt and the one service that the hotel will call which BTW does not take credit cards. If we knew all this we would have opted for a more expensive hotel in Sorrento. I will say the cart driver, Antonio, was an absolute joy to ride with (when we were lucky enough to get a reservation which was maybe 1/3 of the trips we had to make to/from Sorrento. We were there for four days.

The hotel was lovely, and although close to Sorrento, it was not easy travelling back and forth. The hotel does offer a limited shuttle service, and there is a frequent train service, which could be useful to some guests. However, given that we were heading to the ferry many days, it was more convenient to walk than use the shuttle or train.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in September. The hotel is very clean and well kept. It is smaller hotel in a nice quiet area. The garden and pool are lovely, so much better than staying in a large hotel. There is also a shuttle to and from Sorrento that runs regularly. The Sant' Agnello train station is only a couple of minutes walk and that gives you access to Sorrento/Naples etc too. The best thing of all were all the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them and they were always willing to help in any way they could. Excellent stay and would definitely stay here again!

This was a fabulous property with a little shuttle that ran regularly between Piazza Tasso (the main square in Sorrento) for just 10euro to use through your entire stay. This made the location perfectly fine. Just a couple of minute walk from the circumvesuviana train that runs to Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples, and more, it was easy to walk to and from the Sant Agnello station to the hotel even with luggage. The included breakfast was delicious, much better than continental. The pool, though cold for my October stay, was in a lovely garden and had a nice patio. The staff were all kind and helpful and made themselves available via what's app throughout the duration of our stay. The bartender may have been new as she made a terrible drink, but I still went back because she was so sweet.

Very nice hotel, great staff. Nice enough location, convenient to Sorrento and train access and some nice casual dining close by. Please note a larger van can note get to the doorway. Your get dropped off about 100 yards away. It’s nothing to worry about, it’s a quiet area. Trains from Naples to Sorrento are scary, avoid if possible, but this hotel is an easy enough walk into town. Beds are on the firm side.

Loved our stay at this hotel! Very well renovated, comfortable room, lots of space. Large bathroom. Beautiful pool and garden. Very close to train station and a 30 minute walk to Sorrento main square. Hotel offers a shuttle (large golf cart) to Sorrento however seems a bit overpriced unless going to use it a lot.

Disappointed the experience, felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Walls in room were very marked up, shower was tiny and did not drain properly. During a 3 night stay they did not clean our room once (only made the beds), had to ask front desk for fresh towels.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, wie auch die Hotelanlage in einem sehr sauberen Zustand war. Übrigens eine sehr charmante Hotelanlage. Erwähnenswert ist auch das ausgezeichnete Frühstück. In dieser Form und mit diesem Angebot ist es in Hotels im entsprechenden Umkreis nicht häufig zu finden. Wir können das Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen und werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in dieser Gegend auf jeden Fall auf dieses Hotel zurückgreifen.

This hotel was perfect for a short stay in Sorrento, located along a quiet lane, but close to shops and restaurants (Alfred’s was excellent, 1 min walk). It is a 2 min walk to the train station or 25mins ish walk into the centre. Hotel and room were spotless clean and very comfy bed and pillows. The gardens and pool were a lovely relaxing space and the free pool towels a bonus.. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. We really enjoyed our stay, would recommend and return. We loved it.

The hotel was disappointing, not as described on the website, we got an "upgraded" room on the 3rd floor without an elevator, which is hard to call an upgraded room. It was not stated that there is no car access to the hotel and the parking lot was about 400 meters from the hotel

I am definitely going to recommend Unconventional Sorrento to my friends and family when I get home! The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the check in was very quick when we arrived. There was a lot of selection at breakfast, service was quick and you could order as much as you’d like. The room was clean when we arrived and was cleaned everyday of our stay. The hotel is an excellent location, very close to the train station (~2 minute walk) which we used to get everywhere (if you fancy a walk, it takes ~20 mins to walk to sorrento). The hotel offers a shuttle to and from sorrento for €10 but we found it was better value for money (due to the length of our stay and the walking distance to sorrento ) to get the train. Thank you for making mine and my boyfriend’s first holiday to sorrento a wonderful and memorable experience, will definitely be staying here again if we return to sorrento! :)

Fantastic Hotel, very very friendly and helpful staff - went above and beyond on all areas of service. Gino (chef) truly amazing as were others. Would highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful landscaping of Lemon / Olive trees, rosemary and lavender along walking paths with pool. Lovely and felt very authentic to the area.

The design of the rooms is very efficient and pleasant. Breakfast is real food. Staff helped us print a document and made coffee at 5 am because we had to leave early for the airport. Would highly recommend.

My stay at the unconventional inn was the absolute best! I want to primarily thank Gian Marco, Magdalena, Angela, and foremost, Antonio for being the best driver to and from the hotel. This place is a hidden gem, about a 20 minute walk outside of downtown Sorrento, which is easily accessible with the shuttle that Antonio drives. The staff were incredibly helpful with any questions we had about day trips, transportation, and just anything to do with our trip in general. The breakfast, which was included in our stay was incredible every morning, and we have Chiro thank for that. The hotel and the room were incredibly clean and although we had a bunkbed room, it didn’t really make a difference in terms of size because it was so clean and so well maintained. Overall, our stay at the Unconventional Inn was a trip to remember, and we will for sure be coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Unconventional!! Every single staff member went above and beyond to help us with transportation, recommendations, and any accommodation we needed. It was a little far for walking to the center of Sorrento, but was enjoyable. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

Lovely boutique hotel 15 mins walk from seaside dining, shopping and excursions. Take a walk in any direction and you’ll find something new to explore! Above all, the staff were absolutely wonderful and the included breakfast was a nice bonus! Pool and grounds will be ready for summer.

I can’t say enough great things about this place! It’s clean safe has a great breakfast included, it’s in a beautiful little town close to Sorrento but quieter and very quaint, 3 min walk to train station, and the staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. And very affordable great value. Def would stay again!

What can I say about our stay at the Unconventional Hotel in Sorrento - it was magnificent!!! The beauty of the hotel and grounds made us feel welcome and special. But it was our hostess, Ciara (I hope I am spelling that correctly) that made our stay the best in all of our travels through out Italy. She helped us through travel issues and logistics problems that were our own making and saved our trip. And the Negronis she concocted were excellent :) To anyone travelling to Sorrento - come to this hotel for the gardens and accommodations and because Ciara will make your stay special. Thank you Ciara!!!!!

The Unconventional Sorrento is a little gem located in the little lanes of Sant'Agnello. Close enough to Sorrento but far away enough from the hustle & bustle of Sorrento. Fantastic location. Easy to get to and walking distance from the train station and bus stops. Great views from the sea view rooms, location is quiet and relaxing and makes the property perfect for a peaceful break. The staff at this hotel take customer experience to another level. They are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were checked in by Myriam & Edda and they gave us one of the best welcomes I’ve experienced at a hotel. Edda and her colleague at breakfast also delivered exceptionally amazing service. The other standout member of the team was Maddalena, really friendly and helpful and also very knowledgeable about the local area. Clean, crisp and modern rooms, great wifi and a freshly cooked generous breakfast makes ones stay extremely pleasurable. The common areas are also really comfortable and clean and always smell fresh. Lovely garden to relax in as well. We loved our stay at Unconventional Sorrento and will return here if we go back to Sorrento. Thank you for making our stay in Campania so memorable and enjoyable. This was by far the best stay I’ve experienced in a small hotel & every single night of the 4 nights I stayed were amazing.

While we appreciated the proximity to train and that the Sorrento stop was only one stop away and about 3 minutes long. But the two stations are third world and the Sorrento stop is still a 10 minute walk to the main Piazzo. Hotel offers an electric cart shuttle which can hold five passengers but runs on the hour out and half back although it is only a ten minute ride. You need to reserve a seat and it books quickly so it is not easy to get a ride on it. Next option is a taxi which is 25 or 30 euro; right it’s about 2 km and very controlled and very expensive rate by local govt and the one service that the hotel will call which BTW does not take credit cards. If we knew all this we would have opted for a more expensive hotel in Sorrento. I will say the cart driver, Antonio, was an absolute joy to ride with (when we were lucky enough to get a reservation which was maybe 1/3 of the trips we had to make to/from Sorrento. We were there for four days.

The hotel was lovely, and although close to Sorrento, it was not easy travelling back and forth. The hotel does offer a limited shuttle service, and there is a frequent train service, which could be useful to some guests. However, given that we were heading to the ferry many days, it was more convenient to walk than use the shuttle or train.

This hotel was perfect for a short stay in Sorrento, located along a quiet lane, but close to shops and restaurants (Alfred’s was excellent, 1 min walk). This was a fabulous property with a little shuttle that ran regularly between Piazza Tasso (the main square in Sorrento) for just 10euro to use through your entire stay. This made the location perfectly fine. Just a couple of minute walk from the circumvesuviana train that runs to Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples, and more, it was easy to walk to and from the Sant Agnello station to the hotel even with luggage. The included breakfast was delicious, much better than continental. The pool, though cold for my October stay, was in a lovely garden and had a nice patio. The staff were all kind and helpful and made themselves available via what's app throughout the duration of our stay. The bartender may have been new as she made a terrible drink, but I still went back because she was so sweet.

Great location only 3 mins away from the train station which gets you into Sorrento in 2 mins or to Naples in just over an hour. Would highly recommend for couples and smaller groups. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and polite.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. The breakfast was 10/10. Great location, budget friendly price point, awesome friendly and helpful staff, close to the train station and bus stop, comfy beds. Honestly, everything was perfect and I'm really glad we got to stay here. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Sorrento.

Such an amazing stay. Very easy to find, right next to a station which is accessible from pompeii or Napoli. Staff were very friendly. They run a shuttle service into Sorrento town - 10euro each for as many shuttles as you want during your stay. Very clean rooms and a great breakfast each morning.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The property is absolutely gorgeous, the staff are amazing and very friendly, and they provided us with some fantastic recommendations for the surrounding area when we asked! The breakfast that is included was amazing and much nicer than we anticipated for a free hotel breakfast. I can't say enough about Unconventional Hotel Sorrento. We booked a family room (3 adults), and the room was spacious for us and all of our luggage, spotless, provided privacy for each of us, and had lovely views. The bathroom was spacious as well, and the water provided in the mini fridge was helpful. The included breakfast was one of the best we've ever experienced, with a continental buffet plus a selected menu you could order from. We enjoyed the fresh fruit, eggs & toast as well as the cappuccino. But what really made this stay amazing was the staff. The service level they provided was high, and each staff member we encountered was not only helpful but warm & friendly. They helped us not only with luggage storage, but arranging a driver to & from Naples, getting train tickets, general recommendations. Cristiana, Olga & the breakfast staff were our main contacts, and they really were all above & beyond helpful. As first time visitors, we had questions and they were amazingly patient, kind and customer service oriented. The property IS a 20 min walk to Sorrento - we'd recommend the coastal walk (vs direct, adds 10 min) as it is less trafficky/nicer walk. Or, the metro is so close to the property if you don't want to walk. We didn't mind this at all, but good to know for your planning. We would definitely stay here again. Great staff!
