Everything about the hotel is wonderful. I can’t say enough about cleanliness…I thought the area looked beautiful as well (I checked Google earth before I arrived) With that being said, their were signs in the parking lot saying the hotel was not responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles AND they have once of those flashing blue light surveillance things in their parking lot which makes me think there is a lot of criminal activity in the area.

Convenient location with lots of dining options. The exercise area have Pelethon machines that you have to pay to use. Breakfast was great and desk clerk was very friendly and helpful

This hotel is located in a very cute, walkable area with shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was very nice; we especially loved the lobby area, complete with comfortable seating, a colorful mural of the area, pool table, TVs, and 24/7 coffee. This was our first time staying in a Tru by Hilton hotel, and we will definitely stay here again.

Staff was nice and friendly but that's about where it ends. Hotel is not in a good area of town. Sketchy characters standing around the front of the hotel. Got off the elevator to go to our room and it smelled heavily of bleach. The smell of marijuana was there as well and you could tell the staff was doing their best to cover it up. Floor in the room was sticky. All of it. Whatever cleaner they utilize isn't right for that floor. The bed was squeaky. We got up the next morning and there were cops out in the parking lot when we drew back the curtains. When we got outside to our car, we found out a truck two parking spaces from our car had been broken into, a long with several other vehicles. We had a two night stay planned and only stayed one. I booked through a travel app and was able to get a refund on the night we didn't stay for, which was good. This hotel needs 24 hour police security. Steer clear!

My family and I do a lot of traveling and Tru by Hilton is usually one of our favorite hotels to stay in. This property wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t as nice as some of the other properties. The hallways smelled like smoke. You can tell the hotel is older. The room phone was broke. Also the AC unit was not that cool.

The place was clean, but I saw a cockroach, and when I mentioned it, they told me housekeeping had already left for the day, which was strange and made me uneasy. Upon arrival, it took 40 minutes for a front desk staff member to greet us. Overall, I was dissatisfied with my stay. While the area is convenient and close to many shops, my experience fell short.

Guy at check in was super nice, our room was not very clean at all. Night stand between the beds had sticky stuff on it almost like hair gel. The floor was also sticky. Bathroom floor was dirty and there was water damage on one wall. The room next to us was very loud and we called down to the desk twice to see if they could give them a all to ask them to quiet down just a little, I didn’t not go down to the desk to ask because it was 3 am and I wasn’t comfortable leaving our room at that time. For the price we paid we could have saved a lot of money and just stayed at a budget hotel for the same experience. I thought staying at a Hilton it would have been better but I was wrong.

I usually do not do reviews, but I have to say, this was a terrible 2 nights. 1. The room is extremely small, cannot move around, have step side ways along the beds. Pictures on site in NO WAY show the correct size. 2. The bed was was super uncomfortable, rolled to the middle 3. The pillows made us all sweat 4. The top cover was itchy and hot, just poor material for the bedding. 5. The bed frame the mattress sat on stuck out and takes your knee cap off if you hit it. Again. Super small room, I asked for the bigger one and she said we had the biggest. Very very difficult to move around and keep suitcases and all luggage neat and orderly. We chose Tru because the reviews read well, but the sleeping was terrible.

This hotel echos. I suggest requesting a room on the top floor so that you don’t get woken up by late arrivals that are heavy walkers, bicker with each other and slide furniture across the floor. I hardly got any sleep and had a full day of driving before and after my stay. Staff did give me ear plugs and was going to speak with the guests but they were noisy until after 3 am!

Nice hotel, nice staff, had to wait a while before our room was ready though and it was already 2 hours past check in time. Really liked the shower, the TV was nice and the bed comfy. Small room but it served it's purpose well.

I am not getting the great reviews. The hotel, although newer, is just basic. I have stayed at other Hilton properties that are much better, though older. The attraction, I suppose, is the proximity to shopping and eating places. The person that checked me in looked like she hated her job, her life, and me for bothering her talking to another employee. I am sorry I ruined your day, I hope life looks up for you in the future. The other employee didn't even acknowledge me and walked away when I said hello. Customer service is dead. I stayed in Room 309. In the bathroom, it appears there are mold spores growing on the ceiling above the shower. Perhaps there is/was a leak in the upstairs bathroom. Also, there was tissue and an earring behind the toilet. I understand people get busy, but if they missed this what else did they miss cleaning. The room is just basic. It served it's purpose I guess for one night. I have stayed at many Hilton hotels and will likely do so again, but not Tru. All in all a very mediocre stay at a very mediocre property.

The staff was just meh at check in. At check out I was informed that my $35 x2 charge would be refunded. But a $57.62 charge was added instead. We didn't purchase any incidentals. There was an issue last year when we stayed as well. They were not refunded and I neglected to fight you on the charges. Personal stuff got in the way. I will be fighting the charges with my credit card Co. this time. How do you all get away with this stuff?

We don't stay in hotels very often as we are campers and have our own accommodations. However, we were out of town not camping for this trip. Since discovering Tru years ago we don't stay anywhere else. Staff was super friendly. This is our 2nd stay here and the hotel is always spotless. They take great pride in their place of business. It's convenient to where we needed to go. No complaints.

Front desk service was terrible. Did not tell us that we had to request to have room cleaned. Asked for more towels and front desk said they didn’t have time to deliver and we had to come to front desk. Attitude of front desk help made us feel unwanted. Didn’t say thank you or can we help you. Will never stay at this hotel ever again

Quick stay overnight- flying out of Charlotte. Bed was ok- pillows were not good at all. Wall’s are paper thin- my neighbor clearly had sleep apnea. The hotel is newer so it’s still quite clean and the rooms are well kept. If you are a light sleeper- chose another option. Airplane traffic starts quite early.

There's only 1 person at reception, so had to wait until he was off the phone. Once he put the call on hold, he was friendly and helpful. When I went to my room, the smell of bleach was too strong from the bathroom. Outside parking lot, the headlamp was flickering and too dark--potentially a dangerous situation should a mugging occur. Breakfast simple and good; fruits were way past freshness (apple and oranges). Loved the wide open ambiance of the tables and chairs.
