The hotel is nice and clean, and we really appreciate the fenced-in parking. This is our second time staying here when visiting Pagosa Springs. The rates are reasonable compared to other hotels, and the location is very convenient. While it’s not right in downtown, Pagosa Springs is small enough that everything is easily accessible from here.

Comfortable bed with a matress topper. Very simple breakfast options. Hot tub was broken/off during our stay and was being used as a small cold pool, pool heater was turned up and the pool was warm.

Room was not clean. The walls were stained everywhere. The linens were dirty. It was non refundable, so I purchased bedding from Walmart. Beds were super hard and uncomfortable. Room smelt really bad. Was supposed to have a room with 2 queens, they were definitely fulls, not queens. There were only 2 towels for 4 people. The hot tub was broken. Will never book here again.

Room was quiet and comfortable. However, none of the rooms had a microwave, had to use the one in the breakfast. Only saw one luggage cart in the building. Would have to walk a great distance just to see if one was available. Ended up loading the car one suitcase at a time.

Positives: inexpensive and clean. Nice staff. Nice indoor pool. Negatives: breakfast is continental, no elevators, soap is size of a quarter, hot tub broken, room cooling units noisy and in need of maintenance, common areas not kept cool, no house cleaning during your stay. In other words, every bean has been counted, even something as simple as a late checkout incurres a fee. Don't expect any extras.

Room was not clean. I was informed there is only one housekeeper on staff. Even common areas and hallways are covered in dust and grime. Hot tub was broken. For the price I paid, I would at least expect the sheets on the beds to be clean but I ended up requesting clean linens and changing them myself. I do not recommend staying here.

We checked in but did not stay. The pictures online were not an accurate depiction of the area around the hotel. The gentleman checking in was not very friendly and the hallways and rooms had a very musty old smell. It was not what we expected...especially for the price. I would like to get a refund but I do not know what the process is to get it. Please advise.

Musty dirty smelling room, debris and food in chair cushion, filthy/stained linens. After seeing blood specs on the sheets, I looked at Google reviews and saw several reports of bed bugs. We had already unpacked our luggage in the room, but still I tried finding another motel nearby. It was a busy weekend, and it was late, so I couldn’t find anything. We ended up staying but are now dealing with the aftermath of sanitizing everything to prevent bed bugs from entering our home. All in all, a filthy disgusting room and general lack of regard for hygiene. I would never stay here again.

It was clean but VERY thin walls! You could hear everything in the rooms on either side & in the hall! Our room was close to the pool so we could also hear the echos from that & strong smell of chlorine. For the price it was extremely bare bones. Instant coffee in the room was also a disappointment. The bed wasnt very comfortable & the blanket/bedspread was very thin.

I’m not sure how this hotel got the 10/10 reviews that it did. The drive to the hotel was full of big potholes. There was no elevator. The pillows were hard and the mattress was uncomfortable. The HVAC unit was extremely noisy and woke us more than once. We were very disappointed with our stay.

When I arrived for check in. My room was checked in already by another people.Receiptionist she showed my papers for name Cheryl and her sign under my name. We asked how it possible that. Hotel didn’t check identity. Receiptionist stated I don’t know it wasn’t me. Bad think they couldn’t find new room until I demanded supervisor. Then they found . Horrible experience.

When we got to our room, the bed had been slept in and the room had not been cleaned. When we went to inquire about our room, a gentleman was very rude and he informed my husband he did not have enough staff and he questioned him asking if he owns a business....Do not list available rooms in this case and perhaps act like a business owner. All other staff were great.

The customer service was excellent from beginning to end. We had a slight problem with our room & they immediately offered to change rooms for us. This is a family owned hotel & the owners were the hardest working ones there! Its in a great location just outside of town & near major shopping (walmart & safeway). I was very shocked to find a decent room rate so close to Memorial Wkend but there they were! I booked immediately. the last thing that I’ll add is that although they are pet friendly they have designated pet rooms which is very thoughtful to those who may have allergies or simply prefer a pet free space. I will definitely be back!

Room was fairly clean and big enough. Pool and jacuzzi area was large. Breakfast was OK. People were nice. Worst part was not the fault of HillSide. But the roadway/driveway coming in was full of pot holes. Just be aware if water/snow is on the ground.

We stayed there a few years ago and it was a different experience of what we live this time. Breakfast was nothing like we remembered, not variety and very bland truly, one may even say it was a sad breakfast. Just one member of the staff was actually nice and approachable (a guy). Two other ladies were just rude, not wanting to explain as if I was an expert on their policies and timing. It’s not on the guest if the hotel is very full or not, everyone is paying for the stay and I think everyone deserves a good/polite treatment. Room was okay, some areas where you can see that they’re not paying attention, like dust particles in areas of the bathroom, but truly just that. Pool didn’t had enough clean towels, just 3 clean around 9 am, which is pretty early. Some green slime on the bottom of the pool (next to the main entrance 3” depth), and that area was slippery. The jacuzzi was not working, but it had hot water, so it was okay.

We would definitely stay here again! And we highly recommend this Inn. Super clean, nice and comfortable. Loved the large, soft bath towels. Note that there wasn’t a microwave in the room but there is one in the breakfast room. Breakfast was awesome with oatmeal, cereal, coffee, juices, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, bread’s & yogurts. We were a little disappointed that there wasn’t waffles lol but in all this place is 5*’s!!
