The hotel was super cute and clean. However the elevator situation was not ideal. It took a very long time to be able to get and we either had to wait or walk up 9 flights of stairs.

The Design of the hotel beautiful. Content was well thought out. Having use of only one elevator and no with difficult. The building such as plumbing and the air unit is more attention. The café is called is absolutely delicious and both chest nasty staff were pleasant and overly accommodating.

Our stay at the Pali Hotel was great. We came down to SD to move our daughter into college and stayed at the Pali for Thursday - Saturday. Check in was easy and the lobby was beautiful. They really know how to cater to your senses at this hotel, as the lobby smelled amazing, it was clean and welcoming. The room itself was designed well and cute. If you know the history of the building, this is an old 1900's building, so the rooms are cozy, but perfect for a couple. The bathroom was clean and updated, but kept with the vintage charm of the building. The elevator was a bit slow, but again, it is a vintage building and they do have a nice seating area outside to wait for the elevator. The roof top bar was AMAZING! The views and the vibes were great. We also enjoyed the french resturant attached to the building. Besides the vibe and aesthetic of the hotel, the real win here is the location. It's right in an area where you are in the middle of everything, but not deep enough into the Gaslamp district that you have the unhoused sleeping right outside the hotel. Tons of nightlife, restaurants and fun things to do within in steps of the front door of the hotel and everything else SD has to offer is a short drive away. Definitely wouldnt mind staying here for all my future SD trips.

Tiny room, unhelpful staff. Can't recommend under any circumstances. Several items in room needed repair or touching up. During check-in, the staff member helping me dropped everything to assist a rude, non-hotel guest asking random questions. Avoid.

There was only one working elevator. The AC did not work and leaked all over the floor.
