Everything about the Malcolm Hotel was amazing. The staff were all friendly, check in easy, parking convenient, food delicious and reasonably priced, rooms clean & comfy. We especially loved the pool area with the stunning views and ability to order food/drinks right to your chair. Location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops while still being off the beaten path for tranquility. Will definitely stay again and avoid the crowds of Banff.

Usually really like our stay at the Malcom’s but unfortunately we didn’t get to use the pool because it was cool! It’s supposed to be 30c but it definitely was cool. Nobody was able to stay in the pool for more than 5 minutes and we all had to cram into the only working hot tub as the other one was under maintenance. The only reason why we come to the Malcome is for the pool which we didn’t get to use. I did bring it up to the reception which they sent in the maintenance team. I heard from other hotel guess the pool was a bit warmer the next morning but still not warm. Very disappointed:(

The property had always been a favourite when we come to Canmore based on the proximity to downtown. The hotel is starting to show its wear and tear and the hot tub was not even hot when we used it. There were too many people in the hot tub and no one in the pool. Crank up the heat in the pool to let everyone enjoy the view of the mountains while relaxing in the hot tub

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Malone. We enjoyed our Mountain View room with patio. The pool was fun and had food and drink service. We used the complimentary bikes and the staff were great. They even left a delicious box of sweets in our room for our anniversary.

The Malcolm staff were so helpful! The room was incredible, we loved the spacious bathroom. The pools and fire pit area were great. Parking was simple. The pathway behind the hotel through spring creek was such a great walk for our family! We wish they had more bikes available on staff especially smaller ones for kids. And many of the board games in the game area were missing pieces and parts and in poor condition. Overall it was an amazing experience

That hotel is one of the best in Canmore! The underground parking is somewhat limited though, I'd recommend parking and taking a cab so you don't lose your spot.

Great Hotel that is conveniently located. We love the whole Spring Creek area, The tourist part of town is a quick walk, but you are away from the hustle in a quiet and comfortable part of town. The View of the mountains from the swimming pool is just plain stunning. Secure underground parking. Rooms are good but a bit tight for space, but comfortable overall.

The hotel is beautiful, in an excellent location with spectacular views. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and courteous but we had to keep reminding housekeeping to supply enough towel sets for a family room of 4. Internet access could also be improved.

Beautiful Hotel, will definitely be back for a longer stay! Our room was beautiful with a view of the mountains overlooking the pool below! Gorgeous Vaulted high ceilings in our room on the 4th floor! They left a lovely birthday gift upon arrival on the bed! Loved the Nespresso Maker in room, great added touch! Would have preferred a bathtub over a shower, that’s my only con. Staff was very friendly! We will be back!

Had a lovely stay at The Malcolm. I really enjoyed their heated pool and hot tub as the view is amazing. I also used their gym which was fairly small but did the trick. They definitely need to install blinds in the gym as the sun beats right into the windows. As the majority of builds in Canmore, the building is wood framed and The Malcolm is no exception. Therefore I paid extra for a premium room with a balcony and called beforehand to request the top floor. Noise would definitely be an issue during a busy weekend. I stayed during the week and it was quiet. I really enjoyed the balcony with the view of the 3 sisters. If you are vegan, I suggest meal prepping as they do have a fridge in the room. I had to request using a microwave which was met with some weirdness but I did give feedback that they do not offer vegan options and therefore I had no choice. Overall, Canmore is not overly plant-based friendly but there are some options.

Lovely view of the Three Sisters mountains from our patio. People above us were pretty heavy-footed! We were a bit puzzled as to why we would get a message about upgrading our room, and when we submitted an upgrade, we were informed that it wasn’t available! Why bother sending us that message in the first place if there was no availability? We would have preferred a king-size bed, but otherwise, the hotel is 5-star in every way.

Great location close to downtown and in a beautiful spot. We liked everything but the room was very noisy as you can hear through the walls and ceilings. Very overpriced. The restaurant patio was nice and food was good but not great. Staff throughout the hotel were great.

The room was super clean, modern and had the best espresso coffee maker! It definitely has a luxury vibe to it without being insanely expensive to stay .... Oh and the outdoor pool and hot tub was amazing too! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only thing is the TV channel selection is next to nil and the 'smart tv's are not actually connected to the internet yet...so bring your laptop of iPad for that.

Check in is at 1600. Arrived at 1605- room not ready. Finally got a call at 1845 saying the room was ready. I expected more from a hotel like this. Speaking to other guests, this seems to happen very often. Other than that, fantastic experience.

The Malcolm has become my favourite hotel to stay in Canmore. The amenities are superb.. hot tub..fire pit & pool. I’ve enjoyed many first class meals at the Stirling where lovely Jessica has been my hostess. I chose a Malcolm Royal King room overlooking the Mount Lady Macdonald & Policeman’s Creek from the top floor this time, much quieter than the pool view. My room was spacious and comfy. A big thanks to all your wonderful staff for making another stay memorable. I hope to return in Autumn. 💕 😊

Very nice hotel and we enjoyed all the way through our staying until my checkout. Found out restaurant is charging me more than what I’ve paid for all three of my meals. I’ve tried all three meals at the restaurant and all of them are wonderful but I don’t really like being overcharged. I paid attention to the bill so I got my money back right away but what if I didn’t look at bill? That’s the only disappointing part for my stay.

EVERY employee I encountered spoke and was very friendly! Lindsey at check in took time to ask about my trip to Canmore. Anthony at the Prime Rib buffet could not have been any more attentive to us and offered many suggestions as well made sure to stop by our table and pour out win. At checkout Eric was very pleasant, and reviewed my one charge to confirm my payment.

Overall the hotel was really nice with great pool and hot tubs. We also enjoyed the boardgames and pool table on the 2nd floor. However, for paying the price we did we were disappointed how our bathrom sink was clogged. Even after someone came to try fixing it made no difference. In addition, the AC wasn't working properly either as it would not go below 20C. Lastly, when we ordered drinks and food by the pool it took over an hour before they brought it and that was after we flagged a server down. When we were checking all this was brought to her attention and she said she would pass it along to a manager but have still not heard anything yet and we stayed at the beginning of May.

A delightful property on the river. The room and facilities were great. There wasn’t a choice of pillows and their pillows were awful. The staff were very helpful. We ate at the restaurant. The waitress was great the food was below par and the rose wine was off.

Very nice hotel, looks quite new. Friendly staff, beautiful, clean room, comfortable beds. For some reason, there is not enough parking in the underground lot for all guests, and we had to initially park on the street outside the hotel. Fortunately, for our stay, the weather was nice, and this was not an issue, but later in the year I could see it being inconvenient when the weather is colder/snowier. We dined at the restaurant which is nice, not great, although the Prime Rib special that night looked terrific.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful area of Canmore. It is very convenient for the downtown area with its bars and restaurants, although the in-house Stirling restaurant was excellent for dinner, and we enjoyed our breakfast there on all four mornings of our stay. Highly recommended.
