Lovely hotel, great location (20 walk to city centre) & train station close by (Botanic stop). Plenty of bars & restaurants in the area. Hotel has its own bar & small nite club in basement. I didn’t have dinner as it was fully booked due to Christmas parties but did have a lovely breakfast. Staff very friendly & room was comfortable & clean. Our room was at front overlooking entrance but no noise could be heard. No car park but on street parking on side street is safe. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend

The hotel and room itself were fine. The room was a little tired and worn but acceptable. It was clean. We stayed on a Saturday night. There was mention that the nightclub would be on and would mean there would be minimal noise. This was a serious understatement! We could hear every word of every track that was played. If you’re looking for a peaceful weekend trip this is not the hotel for you. Also it was a very warm weekend and the room does not have air con. Keeping the window open wasn’t an option because of all the street noise.

We really enjoyed our stay at House Hotel Belfast and wish we could have stayed longer. Rooms are spotless, stylish and comfortable with some nice, common-sense touches, such as the remote in what I assume is an anti-microbial sleeve and a nice coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable. I had the cooked breakfast which was delicious. Staff were all so friendly. Parking is off-site but our vehicle was safe overnight and staff can recommend parking locations. Overall, excellent.

This is an awesome hotel! Fun, creative, just steeped in great vibes. Had a blast. (Note: If you don’t like music or bass seeping into your room, you may want to try elsewhere. Though they do offer earplugs for those who need them.)

Stayed many times here....like it as a base for belfast Staff friendly but disappointed by the fact no food or bar Monday through Thursday due to owners selling..staff suggested somewhere which was spot on but i didn't feel i could relax and do some work have a beer etc before my meal...i will have to find an alternative for when im back in june and will sadly not return to house hotel...not told in advance of this issue

The property is showing signs of tiredness, the radiator on the bathroom was heavily rusted. The elevator in the property was out of order due to a leak and based on the radiator it was not hard to see why. Please note that on Saturday nights the restaurant turns into a club, even on the 2nd floor it was far too loud to sleep, thus went on till 2am. Had thus have been made clear I would not have gave booked. Hugely disappointing.

I have to say I was taken aback when I arrived into the lobby as it was very shabby in appearance, floor needed to be swept and the paint work and general decor was in my opinion very shabby and off putting. A general tidy up and a coat of paint all over the lobby would make a very different first impression. I did not see my room when I arrived as it was well before check in time and I wanted to drop my luggage and go to town. I must say the reception staff on the morning of Wednesday 2nd were very welcoming, friendly and polite. However I was somewhat apprehensive about my stay because of the general appearance of the Lobby. I am very happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised when I returned later in the evening and found my bedroom. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, my luggage had been delivered to my room and again the staff in the evening were very helpful. I reminded myself not ever to judge a book by the cover as I had a very comfortable, restful night's sleep and a lovely shower in the morning; so overall a GOOD experience. ideal overnight stay on my travel through Belfast.

The cleanliness of the room was appaling (photos attached). Staining to bedding, carpet, towels, etc. Room was cold and on a main street so rather noisy, even on a Monday night. Food was possibly the worst i've ever had despite how aesthetic the dining/ bar area is.

The hotel is in a good location. It is very dirty. The doors look like they have never been wiped down and the carpets are stained and need a good vacuum throughout the hotel halls, rooms and dining facilities. The whole place is poorly lit. Very dark lighting especially in the bathroom. Our sink was leaking and our toilet had problems flushing. The rooms have no AC so they get a bit stuffy with only small windows to open. We will never book this hotel again. Housekeeping changed the sheets and towels but did not replace coffee or take out garbage.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Belfast. The check in staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant and bar were fantastic! I loved their Vintage Old Fashioned and couscous salad. My only complaint is that it was clear my room hadn't been truly cleaned or used in awhile. There was dust on the drinking glasses and bedside tables. Areas needed a bit of touch up paint. Otherwise, it was a fun stay in a good location.

Staff on reception were lovely, no issues checking in or out. Bed and pillows super comfy. Only thing is Hotel is very dark, hallways and rooms dont have a lot of light, bit of dust/dirt in corners of carpet's and bathroom is a bit dated. But good location and value for money.

The people are great and location is fine but the property itself really does flatter to deceive. As per many other reviews the property is in dire need of a refurbishment. We were allocated a disabled room (no requested). The room was dark with no natural light and didn’t have the most basic of facilities. The sink was low and there was nowhere to hold bathroom consumables . The shower was a trickle and there was no shower screen. The music at night can be heard and the room itself lacked general cleanliness. A disappointing stay from high expectations of what the images portray online. With so many hotel choices in Belfast it’s best to avoid this one. Message to ownership - please take this feedback as free consultancy and DO take action on the feedback received.

The property needs to be updated. The lobby is in awful shape. They ran out of hand soap for the rooms. The safes in the hotel no longer work. No face cloths for the bathroom. No air conditioning in the hotel. I asked to leave after the first night and could but no refund! I would definitely not stay there again. Staff was very nice.

Hotel was great on check in, we arrived 5 mins before the kitchen closed and the last checking in said they would still serve us. Food very nice. Following morning we got up to have showers. The shower was a dribble and cold, so much so I ended up washing my hair using the ice bucket in sink. My husband went to reception to report it, although apologetic there was no solution offered - such as alternative room for a shower or a handyman to look at it. My husband didn't end up having a shower which after a day of travelling the day before wasnt ideal. It was a disappointing end to what had been a nice stay.

The House Hotel is a quirky, small boutique hotel attached to a restaurant/nightclub. We were slightly taken aback at the rundown appearance of the main areas and hallways, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything is painted a very, very dark grey (hallways and room itself) which do not do any favours to your sense of safety. Considering that this hotel was extremely expensive compared to others we stayed in around Ireland, I would have expected a higher quality experience. All that said, we did have a relatively quiet night (with some street noise) and the location was very central. Lots of great restaurants close by (we loved Scalini Italian restaurant a few doors down!) and the breakfast in the attached restaurant the next morning was delicious, and served by the most wonderful and friendly waiter in all of Northern Ireland! I would stay here again, but only if the cost came down to the 2.5 to 3-star-ish level that I feel it deserves.

The staff were very nice, the night porter who was on at 6am when I was waiting for my taxi say and talked and waited with me even though I knew he had some work that he could have been doing, nice guy. The room had EVERY sort of amenity that you may ever need from a hotel, very well thought out. The grouting in the shower needs done, was a bit much. Also, the WiFi in the room (3rd floor) was poor, the smart TV couldn't connect to any of the features so I was left with terrestrial TV. Brought this to the attention of reception and was apologised to verbally and compensated fairly. I would stay here again if I was back in Belfast!

The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, my luggage had been delivered to my room and again the staff in the evening were very helpful. I reminded myself not ever to judge a book by the cover as I had a very comfortable, restful night's sleep and a lovely shower in the morning; so overall a GOOD experience. ideal overnight stay on my travel through Belfast.
I have to say I was taken aback when I arrived into the lobby as it was very shabby in appearance, floor needed to be swept and the paint work and general decor was in my opinion very shabby and off putting. A general tidy up and a coat of paint all over the lobby would make a very different first impression. I did not see my room when I arrived as it was well before check in time and I wanted to drop my luggage and go to town. I must say the reception staff on the morning of Wednesday 2nd were very welcoming, friendly and polite. However I was somewhat apprehensive about my stay because of the general appearance of the Lobby. I am very happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised when I returned later in the evening and found my bedroom. The staff on reception are fab and really helpful - the service in the bar/restaurant far less welcoming. Smoking area is on the main street at a public bin. Bedroom was dark and the bed ridiculously uncomfortable. Bar closes at 10pm although theres a night porter service from then on - just really not the best place Ive stayed

The front desk staff at House Hotel Belfast was extremely helpful and friendly. Easily our best experience with hotel staff during our 2 weeks in Ireland. The area has many options for dining and is a short walk from Queens University and botanical gardens as well as the local transit train with easy access to the airport.

We were due to stay the weekend of the Belfast protests and decided we did not feel comfortable due to our understanding that much of the violence was near the hotel. We expressed our concerns and were told by hotel staff that there was ‘no reason for concern’. I was told by a staff member that the riots were not near them despite a business at number 19 on the same road being set on fire, cars set alight in the area, and some nearby buildings I understood were being guarded by riot police. This was not the hotels fault - but we asked for the 2 rooms we had booked and paid in full for, to be honoured for another night but the hotel refused to do this so we lost the full payment for 2 rooms. We are returning guests, having stayed at House on a previous visit, and a gesture of understanding and goodwill would have gone a long way.

Hotel was great on check in, we arrived 5 mins before the kitchen closed and the last checking in said they would still serve us. Food very nice. Following morning we got up to have showers. The shower was a dribble and cold, so much so I ended up washing my hair using the ice bucket in sink. My husband went to reception to report it, although apologetic there was no solution offered - such as alternative room for a shower or a handyman to look at it. My husband didn't end up having a shower which after a day of travelling the day before wasnt ideal. It was a disappointing end to what had been a nice stay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Noise on the Wednesday night in the street was awful the rest were quiet. Half an hours walk to the Waterfront. The hotel and room decor was lovely but lighing is very dark and it all seems a little tired in need of a freshen up.

Our room was at front overlooking entrance but no noise could be heard. No car park but on street parking on side street is safe. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend

Hotel was in a good location for what we needed. We had a concert at the limelight and it was walking distance. Check in was very smooth and staff were helpful and nice. The room and hotel is very well decorated and the blackout curtains were definitely the best we have ever found in any hotel..... however the only down side was the shower . Sadly the shower only trickled and I was unable to wash my hair it was that bad. It would of been easier to wash in the sink. There was also a terrible smell in the sink, think maybe it was blocked etc but overall I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel recently did receive a email that there was a private venue and the noise would be a bit louder that usual. There was a full on party from 1 pm till 7 pm with around 500 people was not what we were expecting the noise was shocking people very drunk music was vibrating our bedroom walls, we went to get food at the bar and we’re turned away for almost 3 hours because of cleaning up from the party ect, would not recommend to stay on the august bank holiday weekend

Great fun. A quirky hotel connected to a lovely bar with wonderful cocktails. Staff (bar and hotel) were pleasant to deal with and friendly. A nice area that is easily walkable. Not fancy, but nice, clean, and unique. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed many times here....like it as a base for belfast Staff friendly but disappointed by the fact no food or bar Monday through Thursday due to owners selling..staff suggested somewhere which was spot on but i didn't feel i could relax and do some work have a beer etc before my meal...i will have to find an alternative for when im back in june and will sadly not return to house hotel...not told in advance of this issue

The hotel was good all we needed was there it’s just a bit run down. It’s in the city center and near a train station. Our tour pick-up was just 6 min. walk. Surrounded with lots pf stores. We are very satisfied with the hotel service despite of broken lift on the day we arrived but they fixed it before we checked-out with our giant luggage.

Hotel was nice. Staff were lovely and friendly, food and bar were decent, however the room itself was like a sauna. There was a tiny fan but it didn’t help at all. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls (probably from the heat) and the shower was quite weak. Other than that a nice room, comfortable bed. Good size and convenient location
