TRYP by Wyndham Mall of Asia Manila

Likes: Close to MOA and; provides shuttle service to MOA. Dislikes: rooms are small; bathroom is not well kept and shower room doesn’t drain well. Gym is very small and very limited space. Hotel surcharge for shuttle to airport is overpriced.

Stayed here for one week. The staff here provided excellent service and are what make this property stand out. Location is easy walk ti Mall of Asia and short ride to Manila Ocean Park and NCR national museums. The on-site restaurant is excellent and I especially enjoyed eating breakfast there each morning. I used the pool and fitness room often and both are good quality and outfitted with towels and good equipment.

* The WiFi was extremely slow, which made it difficult to stay connected. * The window in the room was not safe for children, as it couldn’t be locked. * There was no iron provided for clothes, which was inconvenient. * Most concerning of all, the floor around the pool was very slippery when wet. My 10 year old son unfortunately slipped and hit his head near the entrance door — a serious safety hazard that needs to be addressed immediately.

Overall, we had a nice one night stay. The room was clean, had nice amenities and we enjoyed sitting at the bay window looking out into the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hallway had a funny smell and was stuffy with no AC (which was ok since we were just walking through it). The elevator also did not have AC so it was very stuffy in it, especially when there were others riding on it with you.

Only thing I did not like the shuttle service was every 2 hours and it sure would have been nice everyone hour especially on the weekend when sometimes it would take two trips just to get everyone there

Solid hotel - a bit far away from the mall but that wasn't a problem. Very clean and the rooftop restaurant and pool were great. Only complaint is that they called a cab for me and did not tell me it was cash only, which created a nightmare once we arrived at the airport as I had no cash. Would've been critical to know this information to save a huge headache and nearly missed my flight.

Fikk ett rom i 16 etasje. Flott utsikt. Basseng og bar/restaurant på taket. Frokosten var helt grei. Kunne vært litt mer utvalg av mat og av drikke til ett slikt bra hotel. Omeletten blir laget på bestilling og smakte veldig godt. God service av personalet. Kort vei til Mall Of Asia. Ligger i ett fint og ryddig området. Mange nye bygninger rundt. Kort vei til flyplassen. Vurderer dette hotellet neste gang også.

Likes: pool view, complimentary shuttle to MOA, courteous staff, fast check in Dislikes: 1- Rooms are too small for the price we paid per night. 2- Rooms and bathrooms need some Major upgrades, 3- bathroom is dirty and shower room does not drain well. Bathroom towels are old. 4- Charged too much for shuttle to NAIA 2500 pesos whereas we took Grab for only 500 pesos; 5- Gym consists of 3 exercise machines.

Place smells like sewer, the room that we booked had some clogged drain issues, the engineering department tried to fix it with a plastic plunger there was no coordination with staffers regarding resolving customer complaints

Our room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff were respectful and nice. They helped me weigh my luggage with the hotel weighing scale. Thank you for the great service. I highly recommend the place. It is closed to the Mall of Asia, a walking distance from the hotel.

The room is so disgusting, hair in the beddings and so much hair and dirt on the floor. We requested for cleaning the 2nd day but the dirt we saw under the table and beneath the bed were still there. Proof?… You can see how black the soles of the slippers are. Replenishment bathroom tissue rolls were not even put on the dispenser/roller. My first time to checked in in a hotel this filthy . Staff are ok but so strict with family guests….first time to encounter this as well. So I would say that this is not a family friendly place. Beware of Wyndham around the globe!

The hotel is clean , staff from front desk to security were helpful, accommodating and polite. The bed is okay , but i found the pillows a bit hard for me. There are days the hallway on my floor was stinky , smelled sewer , in my 7 days stay there , there was an air freshener in the hallway only in the first few days, but the remaining 4 days it was gone , that’s why it stunk . There were mornings I would wake up because of the smell. I knew it was coming from the Bay , nothing the hotel could do about it , but at least the hotel should install machine air fresheners along the hallways of each floor. Only the lobby has the air freshener.

The lobby and the front elevator smells bad, like sewer. The room we stayed had some drain clogging problem (shower stall and sink) that the maintenance department tried to fix it with a plastic plunger but to no avail. The concierge and the housekeeping department had some miscommunication issues that they had to kick nephew out of the room after I already booked an extended stay.

Professional and clean

There was a Seward smell coming from the beach . The water in the shower is slow draining. If you take a shower for a longtime the water will overflow outside the shower area. There is only half of the door in the shower.

We arrived late past 12MN due to our delayed flight and yet we were given a courtesy for us to check out later than their usual check out time for a night stay. That was very considerate of them. I appreciate that kind of customer service. I want to thank the lady staff who was on duty last night. We had a good night sleep. The room, the bed , bathroom were so clean and fresh. The only negative was the slow drainage on the shower. Other than that, all was well. Will stay longer next time.

I'm glad I found this hotel at the last minute. I was unhappy with an Airbnb in the area but luckily I was able to book this hotel. It was very decent, clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was good with healthy options. Overall I liked this hotel. My only complaint is that my room had a door that connects to the neighbor's room. Even with it closed, I can hear my neighbor very clearly.

The rooms are clean, staff are nice but the walls are thin. We can hear music from people next door in the middle of the night.

The room was bright, clean and spacious. The walls are paper-thin, it's as if the neighbours are in the same room. The staff were very accommodating and moved us on the second night to a room without neighbours. The food in the restaurant at dinner and for breakfast is very good. We went with a la carte for a North American breakfast vs the buffet. The hotel is in a good location and the free shuttle to MOA was convenient.

Guest on adjacent room was too noisy! Complained was lodged with the reception around 11pm and only actioned 2 hours later after follow up. Hence the 3 stars on staff service.

I like the property. It helps a lot when you have a hotel that offers complimetary shuttle to MOA. Huge shout-out to the guard (AM shift last 7/24/2025)i forgot to ask his name. And the lady guard also my wife said was so accommodating. One thing i noticed are the guards😊 they are awesome. Front desk? they never say nothin’. They don’t even say hi or greet you. They don’t even say thank you, or have a great day etc.. i mean, i don’t really mind but you know you gotta show your guest your appreciation.

Arrived at 2:30 and stood in line in a noisy crowded lobby for 40 minutes to check in only to find out that my room was not ready. Was told to have a seat and they would come get me when it was. After a hour I inquired about my room and apparently they forgot I was waiting. I then proceeded to a the elevators that were tiny, overcrowded and hot as a oven. Enjoy your lengthily wait just to get in one of those sweat boxes. Then I get to the room and I had to wait even longer for my luggage. It's all good though as I had a wonderful view of the trash covered river being dredged and the construction site on the other side. Save you money and find a better place unless you are one of the men just there to hookup with a escort.

The check-in experience was the worst. I'm not typically someone that writes mostly negative reviews, but the experience at TRYP by Wyndham Mall of Asia warrants an honest review. In a nutshell, front desk set up high expectations and underdelivered. There was a noticeable lack of coordination/communication between the staff and front desk’s efficiency left much to be desired. My group was left waiting unnecessarily long in the lobby during check in and in the room because the luggage was not brought up timely. Initially, front desk said our room would be upgraded for free, only to take it back after a long wait due to problems with the upgraded room. I was slightly disappointed but understood. The worst was waiting for the luggage to be brought up to a 4th floor room. What should’ve been a quick and simple task took 45 minutes to do, putting us behind our plans for the day. The terrible lobby music made the waiting worse. I guess the only positive thing I can write is that it’s conveniently close to Mall of Asia. I was overall left with a bad impression at TRYP by Wyndham on my last night in the Philippines. I’ve stayed in various accommodations throughout my trip; some were in more rural/rustic places, but their services were distinctly better, more personal and more helpful than at TRYP.

The staff was great all requests we made were taken care of promptly.

The only downside was the front desk staffs, they weren’t very warm or welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. A simple smile would’ve made a big difference! The location was great though. It is close to everything I needed. Overall, a good stay and I’d consider coming back

We have had issue after issue with this stay. It’s our first time staying at a Wyndham property. We have a party of 7 people, 2 rooms, which include a 96 year old and a 77 year old.
 Upon checking in on time at the 2pm checkin, we were told our rooms were not ready and were made to wait an extra hour for them to be prepared. Once we finally we allowed in, one of our rooms did not have the necessary amount of towels, supplies, etc we needed for 4 people, but it took 3 calls to room service and a trip down to the front desk to get it figured out.
 
 They still didn’t get the requests correct and it took me having to speak directly with the housekeeping person to try and get everything we needed as the room wasn’t stocked properly.
 We have roaches in our room, which has been cleaned each day we have been here. Yet they still appear.
 
The cable tv has been out for 24 hours, which unfortunately is the main source of entertainment for our 96 year old that is limited in what he can do, with no news from management other than “sorry”. The last night of our stay at dinner we were made to wait 20 minutes after receiving the bill because they couldn’t get our card to work and refused to put the bill on our room to be paid upon checkout. Being the first time staying with this brand, it will most certainly be the last time after this experience. It’s been problem after problem without any attempt to help us along the way.

Plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Ocean view from our room shows the not nice part of manila bay.

I had a 20 minute wait on 2 orders of to-go coffee on the 3rd floor restaurant. Coffee tasted good but the wait was a little long.

Check In process was VERY slow. Bathroom: horrible lighting, only 1/2 shower door (is that a thing?), shower grout dirty and stained, toilet paper roll kept falling off holder, and hotel does not provide face towels or facial tissue FYI. The hotel is not attached to MOA, like I thought. Bell persons were all great, and so was the restaurant Milagritas.

Not very good. The shower drain was plugged and run all over the bathroom creating slick floor. Air con not cooling. Staff slow as a turtle. Over 1 hour to get one sandwich at 1am.

Had a good stay in this hotel, with good customer service among the staff. Location is great. Free shuttle to MOA is a plus factor. The breakfast is great.

The rooms are quite good for the price. The breakfast buffet is embarrassing. For that same price, you can feast at nearby cafes/restaurants. Seriously, the buffet has no variety, very limited options, everything is old/stale, and they charge just as much as higher-end buffets. It’s the worst breakfast buffet we’ve had in the Philippines, and we travel a lot around here. The room, however, was very clean. The location is also quite convenient from the airport and the Mall of Asia.

Our second time in this facility and we expected it not to disappoint. The staff are all courteous and helpful. Breakfast at Milagritos is a must if you love filipino food and if it's your first time to try, I would definitely recommend it. I'm a happy camper and I would definitely come back.
