Rm 401: During heavy rains had water streaming from the bathroom ceiling light fixture, The bathroom door does not latch so can't be locked. I like to have towels available for the pool and one of the pool bathrooms were out of order. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to be kind.

The room key kept deactivating itself even though it was stored away from my phone. For two nights that I stayed, I made multiple trips back and forth to reactivate my key. Also, they should put up a sign and lock up the laundry room after hours. I woke up 1:30 in the morning because people were using the laundry room when my room is adjacent to it. Breakfast has nice varieties that I do appreciate.

Bed is comfy, water pressure sucks, and they still don’t have enough seating for breakfast. A whole bar area that doesn’t get used and lots of seating area but limited breakfast tables. Sometimes ur left standing because it’s so packed. Hotel is nice and clean, pool was so refreshing!! We come every year

The staff was very helpful. The room was spacious, and very clean. Elevators were quick, and the property is very well maintained. We will be staying there for our next visits to Texas State Univeristy. As a common traveler, we actually had another placed booked, and decided we loved this property so much, we extended the stay for the whole weekend.

This is a nice, clean hotel near numerous shops and restaurants. It is just a short drive to New Braunfels or Gruene for floating the river or the dance hall night life. The pool area is nice, and the hotel is very inviting with a standard hot breakfast and afternoon snacks of cookies and popcorn. It is my first choice when I am staying in this area.

Overall, the room was clean with the exception of the sofa. There were several deep stains on it. Avoided the sofa because of this. Breakfast was decent. Staff was exceptional.

When we got in the room, we unpacked and started to relax then we saw that there were hairs on the bed that were not ours. Very gross. It was like they didn’t clean the room or someone took a nap on their break and left a hair behind. I don’t know so we go down and talk to the Rude lady at the front and she gives us another room which was also a piece of crap. The toilet was dirty and the new room. I have never had an issue with this chain of hotels before, but this location was definitely not my favorite. Oh yeah, and they need all new pillows.

The hotel does not air condition the rooms before you get there, so if you coming in hot months, make plans to check in, turn ac on, then leave for an hour before you can relax in your room. When I asked the receptionist why air conditioning wasn't already on, her response was the hotel doesn't know what to set the air to--as if setting it to match the outside hot temperature would be preferable to customers and I, the odd one for asking. Didn't I know? My punishment was not an upgrade for pointing out the air conditioner didn't work in my room, but rather I deserved to be put in a room with an obstructed window view even though I paid to not have this--and not my fault the air conditioner didn't work.

Did not have a comfortable stay due to pillows being extremely small and uncomfortable. Go back to regular pillows!!! The toilet had no pressure when flushed. The air condition was not cooling so for sure needs maintenance. We even set it to 68 and did not cool.

Room was excessively large and sparsely furnished. The gray walls, gray tiles and black & white carpet made it feel cold and uninviting. Bathroom baseboards were dirty. It just wasn’t a comfortable place to stay.

This hotel is set back from the highway, behind the outlet mall. The rooms were well appointed. The only issue I had was the large amount of noise coming from the hallways and nearby rooms. I can't remember the last time I have stayed somewhere with walls so thin. I heard the crying baby from next door, the 2 dogs across the hall, and all the vacuuming taking place out in the hallways.

We usually enjoy our stay but this time the room we stayed in we could hear all the talking from the room next to us. At 2am till 4am the people next door we laughing and talking and kept us up. The wall between the 2 rooms must be not well insulated to reduce noise. 😑

This was our second stay there. First one was great all levels. 2nd not so much. Front desk was not friendly, dismissive and not helpful he actual chuckled at me. We had paid for an upgraded room with a king bed. The room was not clean, there was nail polish stains on the nightstands on the carpet the room was not extended. I had gone down to ask him for some help and he was dismissive chuckled and didn’t offer any help.

Check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, but upon arrival, our room was not ready. The front desk associate was neither welcoming nor friendly, and when I asked how long it would take, she simply said, “a few minutes.” I waited patiently, but after 15 minutes had passed, the room was still not ready. The lack of courtesy and clear communication made for a disappointing first impression.

I have stayed at this hotel before and had a good stay, so that’s why we rebooked, but this time around the room we were in was a bit uncomfortable because the air conditioning wasn’t working. The front desk clerk (Ashley) was absolutely wonderful in moving us to another room, only that the new room smelled horrible & I found a dead roach! We stuck it out only because it was a place to sleep, but I will probably reconsider staying again. I don’t remember it being like that the 1st time I stayed. Another thing is it was Family Weekend for the college and prices were sky high I think our stay was almost $700 for two nights. All the hotels take advantage of events as such to raise prices.

I have never had to leave a bad review for a hotel before until I spent my time here. Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I can understand sometimes things happen that may be out of the staff control. I had originally booked the place for few days, but had a delay in arriving into town. I added a second reservation there to extend my trip since I came in late since online did not allow me to extend. So I called the front desk in advance before making the change to assure that both my reservations would keep me in the same room. I asked the front desk three times if I could keep the room so I didn't have to move all my work equipment and front desk said yes three times, but not once blocked the room to assure no one else would book it and add my reservation to that room. This was after they told me my room was available to extend. Hence why I asked three times because I was worried this would happen. Front desk never combined my reservation. MOD just said it was Hotels.com problem and not theirs. He was rude too. So. We left early and our entire trip was ruined. We drove ten hours after a long work weeks in hopes to stay there and relax and not move all our work equipment we had to bring into our room. To top it off, front desk never even charged the right card we gave her at the FD upon check in nor did they event greet guests checking jn. Only staff member that was kind and tried to help was Cleaning MOD. Disappointing for a prime location in San Marcos.

It is very conveniently located behind the outlets. The hotel was clean and the front desk was so extremely friendly. I especially enjoyed the Dove products provided in the bathroom. The little Dove soap bars are so cute! We will be back!

2 different remotes for 2 different TV’s and some kind of basic cable and no channel guide. Most hotels now have TV’s that are connected to the internet and have apps that allow you to login to your own providers such as Netflix, etc. I know I will be stuck watching TV while my husband is resting because he is ill, so I will be going to another brand. Also in the future I will look for a hotel with a restaurant, once we have driven for several hours my husband doesn’t feel well enough to go out and we wind up diner dashing dinner the first night. The free breakfast ok, but it was sub-par to the LaQuinta in Waco. They ran out of bread early the first day and did not bother to refill, the eggs were overcooked and dry and crumbly. They don’t tend to the breakfast area like they should. The waffle irons stick even when sprayed very well….I watched as someone tried to pry off the waffle with it falling apart, and so I thought they did not spray it. I sprayed top and bottom very well and had the same problem. The cleaning service must have came by when were downstairs for breakfast and our DND sign was on the door because we had planned on going back up to the room before going exploring for the day. We left the hotel around 8:30 and maid service was in our hall at the time, but when we returned at 7 pm was not. We had to go downstairs to ask for towels. The shower door sticks and I couldn’t get out without the help of my husband - thank goodness he was with me.
