Nice hotel. Unfortunately their “system” was down the entire weekend. For the duration of our stay we were unable to access our own rooms independently. We had to escorted by a staff member. Everyone was kind and accommodating; however, the experience was awkward. The hotel and company offered no reparations for our unfortunate experience.

Good location. Hipster vibe. Electric guitar and speaker on wall but no fridge or coffee make in room. Very limited parking on site.

The hotel atmosphere is welcoming, vibrant, and fun! There are several games to play in the bar area, and events held throughout the week (trivia, karaoke, etc.) Every single one of the staff was amazing, kind, and helpful! The location is great, there are several restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking distance. The rooms are small, but clean, stylish, and modern. Zero complaints about the moxy uptown. Great experience.

Very minimalist room. Just the bed, loft with bed, and a couple side tables. It was clean and quiet. We got a complimentary drink, so that was a plus. There is no onsite parking. The closest parking garage is a couple blocks.

Definitely clean and modern. No convenient parking. Too leathery in the rooms and an odd smell. Next to a major road so lots of noise. The gym was a laughable joke. Overall fine.

Our stay at the Moxy was fantastic. Staff was so welcoming and very helpful. Unfortunately, their room key system was down during our visit so we couldn't have a key to our room. That's really the only issue we ran into. Staff had to walk us to our room and let us in each time we left or needed access. Everyone was so kind and accommodating during our stay though that the key issue really wasn't a big deal at all. The hotel is updated, feels newly remodeled and clean. We had a smaller room, but it was all we needed. Upon check in we were given drink tickets to use at the bar as well. We would 100% stay again, it was a wonderful spot in a great neighborhood!

We enjoyed our stay at the Uptown Moxy. The property is a good value. However, there are some issues to consider before booking such as: no refrigerator or safe in the room. The parking is not free, and is across the street. Lake St. is extremely "urban" and I wouldn't recommend venturing too far off the property.

Fun hotel with very pleasant staff. We enjoyed the bar in the lobby. My only complaint is that the parking situation is not great. We paid $40 to park in a tiny hotel parking lot where we were parked in so tightly by others we could barely get our car out.

Lots of construction in the neighborhood- just a heads up on traffic/delays. The whole property was clean and well maintained. Our room had a faint smell of smoke, like the previous guests smoked a cigarette inside and left. After a day or so the smell died down, and the rest of the stay was great.

Friendly staff. The room was very clean & had a great feel to it.

The elevators need to be sanitized, smelled like someone threw up on the carpet and instead of having them cleaned the management went to Walmart and poured sickening perfume all over them … don’t even have words for how discussing the smell was ! Tear out the carpet and replace

Moxy saved us from a terrible Airbnb, so we were so happy to have found it in the nick of time. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were super helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Our toilet didnt flush most of the time, blinds were broken and staff could not fix them. The whole place has a perfume in the air that is very strong, and it seemed like we were eating it. Staff was rude. I had one beer at the bar and told I was cut off and could not figure out why. We just got there. It was clean however.

I stayed there (Moxy Uptown Minneapolis) because of the Marriott Brand. I am sorry to say this specific hotel is awful! We got bitten by bedbugs within minutes of laying down to watch tv! Those pests were not even shy to be in the light! We got switched to a different room where maybe there were less bugs; however, after 2 more nights I got enough bites to complain again. I was told via email and in person, that I was getting all my money back... I am still waiting for my security deposit ( $300 ). It's been 15 calendar days. They're radio silent.

The room was clean overall, but every time the sink faucet was turned on there was a horrible mildew smell to the point I was concerned about the safety of using that water to brush my teeth or wash my face because I am allergic. By the time of check out, I was having a mild, but worsening, allerigic reaction. The room had originally been booked for 2 nights, but we could only endure 1 night. The room was advertised as sound proof yet we could hear people locking their cars from the street when we were on the fourth floor, the door to the room had a sizable gap underneath so we heard everything happening in the hallway, as well as any walking in the vicintiy, on our floor or the ones above and below. The television seemed outdated or damaged maybe because every button click took close to a full minute before the tv responded, and Netflix was the only streaming service we could get to work. There was noticeable water damage in and around the shower with peeling or missing caulking, and the paint on the handheld shower head was worn off the hose, around 3 inches down from where it connects to the shower head. The complimentary drinks tokens at check in were a nice feature, but were not enough to offset the negatives that caused us to end our trip early, knowing I wouldn't get refunded for the second night.

Very nice, unique, retro style hotel with nice lobby. Staff was great and we received coupons for two drinks at the bar. Construction outside hotel, but room itself was quiet. Very walkable neighborhood, close to Bde Maka Ska lake and Lake of the Isle. We loved our stay!

The room was quite small - 2 people could not pass between the end of the bed and the wall - and there was only one chair which very low slung and hard to get out of, particularly for an over 6-foot person. As a sleeping room it was perfectly serviceable. The bed was comfortable. If we stay at this location in the future we will pay more attention to room size and lay-out

Room was tiny. Zero furniture besides a bed so our suit cases had to be on the floor next to the bed. No dresser. No closet. No where to put anything.

Cashless everything!! Charged my account &100 bucks for incidentals after I already paid my room. God knows when I will get that back. the hotel is cute and the rooms nice but you could hear every person that came down the hall and every door close. For a person that wakes up with every noise not a good night sleep.

The hotel has a cool funky vibe. The rooms are very small and have very thin walls. Even in the actual room itself, we had to take turns using the bathroom while the other one went outside so we didn't hear each other making our business, if you know what I mean. There's no dresser to push your clothes in, or is there a closet to hang them up. Overall it's a pretty nice place just a little cramps for what you pay for.

Stay was decent and they allowed our motorcycle to park in the back. Our TV kept coming in and out though with 0 fixes which made it when we were in the room to watch a movie it was frustrating.

This hotel was clean, the staff was nice, the bed was comfortable. That said, the hotel is not "comfortable ". The rooms are tiny. There is nowhere to put anything. There are not coffee makers or mini fridges. No ice buckets or even cups. There is a small pantry downstairs with free coffee and an odd assortment of food to purchase. If all you want is a bed to sleep in, go for it. But if you like some creature comforts, go somewhere else.

This hotel is extremely clean and the staff are extremely professional and friendly. However, I would never stay here again unless I needed to be in this specific neighborhood for convenience. There are two windows into the bathroom from the room, one of which looks directly from the bed on to the toilet. They have a bit of privacy because there’s a blur to it, but I don’t need to see whomever I’m traveling with on the toilet while I’m sitting on the bed. It’s a weird design choice that 100% doesn’t work for me.

Very disappointed with the lack of customer service I’ve stayed at Moxy Uptown Minneapolis several times and always had great experiences — the hotel is stylish and modern. However, this last visit was extremely disappointing and frustrating. After my stay, I noticed a $100 charge on my bank account. I assumed it was a security deposit and waited a few days, expecting it to be refunded. A full week passed and the charge remained. I contacted the hotel, and they told me they would look into it and get back to me the next day with an explanation. That never happened. I was patient and gave them the benefit of the doubt. But after more than two weeks since my initial call, no one ever followed up. I called again and was told a manager would contact me the following day. I clearly explained this had already happened before and kindly asked that someone actually call me this time. Again, no one did. After waiting 3–4 more days, I called yet again — and without any real explanation, they simply told me the money would be refunded the next day. I truly hope that’s the case, but as of now, I’m deeply disappointed. This isn’t just about the money — it’s about the complete lack of follow-through, accountability, and basic customer service. My situation was ignored for over two weeks, and no one took it seriously. Sadly, I won’t be staying at this hotel again

It was terrible. Had to wait to get checked in. Nobody at the counter at midnight when we got there. We tried to watch a little tv and it would freeze and skip every other minute. The free drink we got at the bar was just ok. A guy had his dog at the bar on the counter. The Moxy downtown is way better than uptown. We will never stay here again. It wasn’t worth the money.

Ive stayed at many moxys, and this was my least favorite. Rooms were nice but a lot of other things didnot meet my expectations for this hotel chain. Much room for improvement on customer service skills.

I loved the vibe of this place - the staff were incredible. The bar and coffee and fridge were all clutch. Also I had a personal emergency to leave early and they absolutely took care of me.

The staff was very friendly. Our tv didn’t work so we were upgraded to a room that had a working tv. The Moxy is close to dowtown Minneapolis and has a lot of nice restaurants near-by. Also, a CVS and grocery store are within a block away. I will definitely be staying at The Moxy in the future.

Only 1 staff member at check in area for any guest assistance. 9:30ish went down for complimentary coffee (two other guests were waiting for coffee) and that same staff member was stocking convenience store and had coffee brewing somewhere else. Ice water was empty. Finally coffee just after that time, no ice water yet. Wonder why the night shift doesn't stock the convenience store and the coffee should have been available long before that.

The Moxy Minneapolis Uptown has got to have one of the friendliest teams ever! Due to our flight arriving sooner than expected, we called the hotel to see if it would be at all possible to get checked-in early. Professionally, Thomas advised that he would look into it, but could not guarantee so. Upon arrival, we were happy to find out that Thomas was able to accommodate our needs, and checked us into our room sooner than expected. During our stay, Thomas was a great source of all things food, community, and entertainment--we were happy with all his suggestions. Furthermore, the housekeeping team was super friendly. At the bar, Meg(h)an made sure we always had a drink in hand. She really knows how to prepare a cocktail. Upon check-out, we still had a few hours to spare before flying out. To ensure our visit remained fun and productive, Ivy offered to store our luggage while we went out and took a final stroll around town. Overall, the staff was great, and my partner and I will definitely be back!

It’s in a nice walkable area. Uptown is still a little shaken by COVID Floyd riots and construction but still fun

Very cool modern design. It was walking distance to uptown Lynlake areas and also to our concert at the uptown theater. Would definitely stay here again if I’m seeing a show there in the future. We received a free drink each at the bar. Parking in the nearby ramp was easy and it was well lit and felt safe, it cost about $12 a day. There’s an area on the back of the hotel for loading and checking in. Staff was very nice!

Centrally located, with a great atmosphere, and easy access to public transportation.

Really cool vibe and an amazing rain shower. Very friendly staff and awesome quirky amenities. Walkable to lots of good dining and entertainment options. Expect a rock and roll vibe, and this place is not for people who go to bed at 9pm and expect silence. The redesigned Lake Street and Hennepin are a disaster though, not sure who or why they designed that one lane/bus lane chaos or what they were even thinking. I feel really bad for the businesses there and it’s just too bad that this city deprioritized its businesses to such an extent. Expect traffic to be a big headache getting in and out of this neighborhood. It is designed to be upscale and dense, to be a magnet for visitors, but then has terrible access. Makes no sense at all and they should’ve taken better notes from bigger cities with more thriving neighborhoods. Plenty of parking once you get there, though.

Stayed here because we were in town for a concert at the Uptown Theatre. I would definitely go back.There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The staff we encountered were wonderful. It was a cute hotel in general, very clean, with a bar and the room was quiet for being on a somewhat busy street. It was an easy walk to the Uptown Theatre even in a winter storm.There’s an outside parking lot across the street from the hotel. It was less than $20 to park overnight.

Someone was mugged standing by the main lobby door while waiting for a car service to arrive to take them to dinner. Prior to seeing this, I told my husband that I did not feel safe when i walked from the suggested parking ramp back to the buidling. The general area surround this hotel has gotten less safe over the past few years.

Good value. Same pitch as the Aloft properties - big emphasis on appearing hip - a guitar in every room! - but it’s really a no frills hotel with clean rooms. Which is what I wanted. Little service but you’re not paying for service. Currently the street in front of the property is being ripped up, which means unavoidable construction noise. When it’s fixed up it should be relatively quiet. There’s some movement to clean up the area, which was really beat up during the pandemic and George Floyd riots. Mostly it’s lots of new condos.

Very cool vibe—I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for a family but for sure for singles or couples who can enjoy the bar! It’s unlike any other hotel I’ve gone to! Our room did smell like weed which is unfortunate. You do get two free drink tickets when you check in!

Loved the free drink tokens! Great bar. Clean room. Would have liked a fridge in the room, due to the communal fridge being full. Beyond that it was a good stay.

This was a pretty nice hotel. We only stayed one night for a concert a few blocks away. There wasn’t any onsite parking, but there was a parking garage (brightly painted) up the street that only charged $13 for overnight parking. They had a nicely stocked snack and beverage area downstairs, but no coffee makers or refrigerators in the room. There was a communal refrigerator for guests in the snack area, but I thought that was too weird and didn’t put anything in there. Check in is right at the fully stocked bar and they give you a free drink ticket. There are elevators, so you don’t have to do stairs. Each floor has an ironing alcove in the hall, so you don’t have an iron in the room. The rooms are nice. Decent sized bathroom with good hot water and pressure. I had a queen room and the bed was comfortable with a nice selection of pillows. The furniture was pretty sparse otherwise. Free WiFi. It was kind of loud, but I live in BFE, so I’m used to quiet. A garbage truck came at about 4:15 a.m. just outside my window (2nd floor), but that’s not something the hotel has any control over. Nice place, I’d stay there again, good value for the money.

Nice place, liked the artwork. And the free coffee. The bar was cool too. Rooms are pretty cramped for two. No room frig was disappointing. Could have used more breakfast items in the To Go frig in the lobby. All in all, great room.

I enjoyed the contemporary unique ambiance of the property. There are plenty of excellent places to eat and hang within reasonable walking distance of the hotel, with the plus that it’s in a neighborhood rather than a downtown. I like the vibe of the Lynlake area. The lobby bar was understaffed the night I was there but it has a nice selection of spirits. They offer a complimentary Welcome Beverage to start off your stay.
