Bon séjour pour une nuit ! Bouilloir , frigo , manquerait peut-être un micro-onde. Gel douche et serviettes à disposition! Bonne communication des instructions pour l’arrivée et le départ Si vous comptiez rester plusieurs jours,vous risquerez de vous sentir à l’étroit( chambre assez petite)

Das Hotel erweist sich als besonders außergewöhnlich. Die Zimmer sind sauber, das Bett ist groß genug und reicht für zwei Personen. Weiter gibt es eine große Dusche, wo es sofort warmes Wasser gibt. Das Wasser ist mit reichlich Mineralstoffen vorhanden. Die Heizung wird schnell warm (im Badezimmer ist auch eine vorhanden) Es gibt einen Jackenständer und zwei Fenster mit Gardinen. Um ins Hotel zu gelangen, gibt es vorab per Mail einen Code; der gilt für den Haupteingang und fürs individuelle Zimmer. Das W-LAN ist hervorragend. Ferner noch gibt es genügend da Parkplätze - alle umsonst. Falls Sie Essen gehen wollen, ein Restaurant ist in unmittelbarer Nähe - fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Wenn sie individuell reisen, dann gibt es in der Nähe Sehenswürdigkeiten wie: THINGVELLIR NATIONAL PARK, Wasserfall Öxarárfoss, Bruarfoss, Strokkur. Wegen Strokkur-Geysir: Wenn Sie im Ort angekommen sind, gibt es rechts ein Service-Center mit Touristen-Infos und vielen Touristen - hier gilt beim Parken: Zahlen. 1000 Isländische Kronen für einen Tag. Älteres Gebäude, jedoch nett renoviert. Neue Fenster könnte es gebrauchen. Kontakt mit Besitzern über WhatsApp gut. Betten sind super. Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher Gläser, Tassen, etwas Kaffee und Tee sind vorhanden. Auch eine Mikrowelle, mit der aber wenig anzufangen ist, weil keine Teller oder Besteck vorhanden sind. Mein Tipp an die Besitzer: Statt der Glaskonsole/Glassideboard wäre ein kleines Schränkchen praktischer, in dem es dann Teller, Besteck und ggf. Toaster geben könnte. 😊

Check in was very easy (lock with a pre-send code). Parking was extremely easy, right in front of the building next to the main road. Room was spacious and clean. The free bar of chocolate was a really lovely touch.

Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The only downside was all of the towels and bedding smelled like mildew. This place will always hold a special place in my heart though, because it was where I saw the northern lights for the first time in my life!

Check-in war sehr einfach mit Code möglich, das Zimmer ist für eine Nacht ausreichend. Das Bad wirkte neuwertig und sauber. Leider hatten die Bettlaken und Handtücher merkwürdige Flecken. Direkt nebenan sind ein Lebensmittelgeschäft und eine Tankstelle, eine heiße Quelle sowie der See sind die Straße runter.

The main door the the building requires the code to close it. Many other guests did not figure this out and decided to slam the door closed. The resulting noise was heard in our room. Otherwise the guesthouse is great! I loved the comfy bed and large, clean bathroom.

Overall we had a great stay at Bjork Guesthouse and would come back again next time we visit the golden circle. We had some issues with the self-check in process and access to the guesthouse and our room, but the owners were prompt in helping us get in and ensure we could keep getting inside. We had a very comfortable bed with a modern private bathroom.

Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich und das Bad war klasse und komfortabel. In den Betten konnten wir gut schlafen. Check in und check out konnte man selbstständig durchführen. Ich hatte mir die Check In Daten vorher über Expedia angefragt und die Daten dann per Email erhalten. Es wäre sicher besser, wenn man die Daten proaktiv erhält. In diesem Fall ist es gut gegangen, da sofort reagiert wurde und ich Internetempfang hatte. Der Service war ansonsten sehr gut und wir haben auch Informationen über Attraktionen in der Umgebung erhalten. Der Ort ist sehr klein hat aber eine Tankstelle mit einem kleinen Laden, ein Bistro, das ein oder andere Restaurant und vor allem ein Thermalbad. Alles ist fußläufig innerhalb maximal 5 Minuten erreichbar. Das Thermalbad hat mir super gut gefallen. Es gab eine Auswahl zwischen verschiedenen Saunen mit unterschiedlichen Temperaturen und insgesamt drei unterschiedliche Bäder hinsichtlich Temperatur und Ausstattung. Insgesamt war da Bad sehr komfortabel und easy nutzbar und das Personal war mega freundlich und fleißig am rumwirbeln, damit alles reibungslos läuft. Sowohl der große Geysir als auch die Silfra-Spalte waren nur jeweils ca. eine halbe Stunde vom Hotel entfernt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

We had a wonderful stay at Bjork Guesthouse from April 11 to 12. The communication with one of the owners, Alexander, was fantastic. He was responsive and answered all of my questions promptly, providing valuable guidance on where to go and look for the northern lights. The room we stayed in was very spacious, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Additionally, the location was convenient for our next stop, making our travel plans seamless. Overall, I highly recommend Bjork Guesthouse for anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay in South Iceland. Belle chambre et grande salle de bain spacieuse. Nous avions reçu toutes les infos pour le check-in avant notre arrivée et tout s’est bien déroulé. Nous avions même un petit cadeau de bienvenue. Par contre, je suggérerais une façon pour montrer que nous avons check-out (exemple un carton à mettre à la porte) car à 9:30 on a cogné savoir si nous étions encore là et à 10:15 une employée est rentrée dans la chambre sans cogner….une chance que j’étais habillée…

Overall we had a great stay at Bjork Guesthouse and would come back again next time we visit the golden circle. We had some issues with the self-check in process and access to the guesthouse and our room, but the owners were prompt in helping us get in and ensure we could keep getting inside. We had a very comfortable bed with a modern private bathroom.

Bon séjour pour une nuit ! Bouilloir , frigo , manquerait peut-être un micro-onde. Gel douche et serviettes à disposition! Bonne communication des instructions pour l’arrivée et le départ Si vous comptiez rester plusieurs jours,vous risquerez de vous sentir à l’étroit( chambre assez petite)

Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The only downside was all of the towels and bedding smelled like mildew. This place will always hold a special place in my heart though, because it was where I saw the northern lights for the first time in my life!

This was our favorite guesthouse we stayed at while in Iceland. Although there are no cooking facilities so if that’s important for you, you will need to consider. We appreciated having our own bathroom for one night. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Die Unterkunft war in der Ortschaft Laugarvatn, ruhig, nahe dem Schwimmbad . Das Zimmer war sehr hübsch und neu, ebenso das Bad. Einzig die Dusche war im Verhältnis zum großen Bad recht klein geraten. Alles sehr sauber, alles vorhanden (Handtücher, Duschgel, Handwaschseife). Kein Fernseher (ist in Island auch eher selten der Fall). Kein Frühstück, man muss sich vorher also etwas besorgen. Insgesamt sehr schön. Aber Laugarvatn ist halt nur zur Durchreise. Im Ort gibt es nicht viel.

Proximity to the geothermal spa (great cafe with good vegetarian options) and the hostel (nice cafe staff and good vegetarian options) was the draw to this guest house which was convenient to the Golden Circle sites we wanted to visit. We also lucked out and got a clear night to see the aurora borealis.
