This is right next to Johnny Mercer pier. Its a lively little area right on beach. Its a motel, but it has an elevator, very secure setup to access motel after hours. Staff is available 7am to 11pm and were very nice. Its right on the beach and just down the street from beachie shops stores within bicycle distance to other parts of beach. Theres a little bar restaurant jusr across the street. Convenient alot of fun. Has washer dryer on property 1usd wash 1.5usd dry and there is a deck on the prooerty overlooking beach.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. It’s not fancy, but you are right there on the beach, and surprisingly, the elevator is pretty quick. Also love the covered parking in the heat.

We had a great stay and will definitely return. We luckily didn't have a problem with parking, because the motel was not at full capacity, but it is extremely tight quarters to park onsite, so I would not bring a large vehicle there.

This is a great little place to stay. It is an older property but our room was very clean. They have covered parking and it is right next to a great fishing pier. We also walked over to Sharks Bar and Grill for dinner.

Great location, plenty of hot water, very clean. Would really love to stay there again. Only issue is parking. Parking is under the building and the spaces are pretty tight. My Honda Pilot was difficult to navigate into the parking, so if you have a larger vehicle, it will definitely be an issue.

Although this is an older property, it is well maintained. It is right on the beach very near Johnny Mercers pier. Parking is under the building so very closeby.

great spot - obviously no pool or much in the way of amenities but its right on the beach and has its own parking. Very clean and friendly staff. If you come, pulling a large pickup into the ramp can be a pain but otherwise it was a reasonable price to be right on the beach at peak season. Pier is right there as well.

The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. The balcony was a perfect little spot to experience the sound of the waves and see the ocean, while being at the room. The beach access was literally a two minute walk from room to water. This was the perfect getaway for me.

Christy at the front desk was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable. Loved having a little balcony this is a busy busy public beach area so be aware. Pleasantly quiet at night though. Black mold in the bathroom that could easily have been cleaned prior to our stay.

One of the worst maid staff ever. I never have stayed at hotel like this. My room didn’t even get cleaned before I began my stay. Yea the made the beds with dirty sheets. There was visible sand on the floor. Absolutely disgusting. I would never stay there again. Disgusting!

Clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff(we left clothes hanging in the room on checkout), they called as soon as it was noticed and are mailing our belongings. The location is perfect, just steps to the beach. We will be returning!

Stayed two nights. The location and access to the beach are outstanding. Having private access to walk down to the beach is one reason I would stay again. The room was very spacious and it was clean. The carpet is older, in the fact that the room had a little bit of a musty odor. Nothing that would stop me from staying again. The view was very nice and good for people watching on the balcony. Nice restaurant/bar a few feet away. We got there exactly at three o'clock and were checked in quickly. Overall very nice place for being an older hotel.

We loved our stay. Great location to everything and convenience to many good food options. Everything was spot on with space and cleanliness. Only contrictive feedback, beds aren't the most confortable. Staff were very friendly and we loved being able to walk out to the beach from our floor. Highly recommend! We'll be back!

I stayed here to complete in Ironman Wilmington 70.3, I could hear people In multiple rooms around me who were having parties and there are no sound barriers as it was LOUD. I wouldn’t stay here again. Dated hotel but costly.

Great location. Friendly staff , comfy beds! Parking is tight , no frills but the view is awesome and the kitchenette is a huge plus with full size fridge and excellent size bathroom with area to get ready.

I loved that it was just walking distance to the beach and the place was not very expensive. The rooms were kept clean and the people were very nice. One of the best motels I’ve stayed at. Only issue was WiFi was not very good but overall. Very good

Check in was the worst part of the visit. The room was dirty but met the bad expectations after the awful check in. First impression was a very rude staff and then absent throughout the visit. I will not stay again. Made the first trip to NC beaches a bad experience. Sucks!!

The staff are super nice , i called for an early parking at 9:30 am , and the lady said that i can get the room keys too , probably just a lucky day but i appreciate it.. also it's right by johnny mercers pier which is a plus.

This is a great value for a beach front stay. No frills. Nothing fancy. But it was clean and quiet. The parking is limited to one car per room; When I called ahead to ask about a solution to brining two cars, the clerk simply said “well you’re just going to have to cancel” I said, “no ma’am, my problem solving skills are better than that” and realized there’s paid parking directly in front of the hotel for the general public-problem solved. I paid $30/day to park my car there.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Right by the Pier and several shops, restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful for what ever your needs may be. The hotel is older but is very clean and safe surroundings. Will definitely return!

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a table and four chairs and a nice little kitchenette. The property is right on the beach... you cannot beat the location. The only issue is if you go on a nice weekend, the traffic is horrendous. Might take you 10 minutes to drive that last block to the motel. Having parking onsite was a lifesaver though.

We love The Silver Gull, the rooms are a good size and have little extras you dont find in modern hotel rooms. It is right beside the beach,fishing pier, (2) restaurants and a gift shop! Great place for a beach day!!

Wonderful location right on the beach. Property is very clean. Adjacent to it is a public parking and beach access area. So, it is very busy right outside the window and often noisy. Facility is very old. Refrigerator did not work hardly at all and had obvious rust over most of the outside.

Silver Gull is a hidden gem on the North Carolina shore! I had an amazing view from my room (next time I would ask for a south facing room) and I could walk down my hall and out into the beach! The hotel has its own little deck on the beach, but it was a bit too chilly for hanging out there on this trip. I walked across a parking lot for a decent meal, but could have walked a little further for more options. Or, I could have used my kitchenette to make something for myself! I loved catching a spectacular sunrise in the morning before I left.

It was ocean front for a moderate rate in August at Wrightsville. Once we parked our vehicle we did not need to leave until headed back home. Restaurant across the street was excellent and shopping great prices! We will be back!!!

This is a fabulous little hotel. It’s location is perfect! Right on the beach, a few feet from the pier, with loads of food options in super close walking distance (tacos, seafood, Mexican, Italian, coffee, cute bars). Rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. The staff are so nice. Every room has a cute little balcony and easy beach access. Would highly recommend!

Great location for a weekend getaway! Room was very comfortable and appreciated the kitchenette! Walkable area - 0.5 mile walk to grocery and restaurants plus a great bar and restaurant just steps from the room!
