Great facility with the best location in Kyoto. Got upgraded and the room was spacious, clean and with comfortable amenities. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was impeccable! Very spacious, modern, and located in the middle of everything. Train station was closeby and the hotel lobby is impressive with very easy uber or taxi service availability. In addition, I truly appreciated the 24 hour free green tea and coffee available to guest.

Spacious room which can be hard to find in Japan. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff very helpful. Short walk to market, shops and Gion district.Would stay there again. Much nicer than its 3 star rating. Doesnt have a bar and no dinner restaurant.

Location is great, I love the canal view and walking the tiny streets while being close to the shopping streets and large department stores. Surrounded by restaurants and bars. No laundry machines on premises but just around the corner on the second floor of a net cafe is a laundromat (can get crowded, I think your best bet is going during the day instead of late night).

Great place to stay, good quality rooms, no dinner option. But lots of options and variety just outside the hotel.

My family of 4 loved our spacious room and included amenities. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The location was nearby a subway/train station. There is no gym but you can walk/jog down the riverwalk which was so close to the hotel. We will definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

The staff were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The only negative was they didn’t have onsite laundry facilities.

The hotel was ok. However, the pillow was not clean. Actually, I was resting and leaning on the hotel when I first discovered a feet smell. Then, I noticed a strong odor from the pillow. I asked the hotel staff to change the pillow. Same problem. Finally, they gave me new pillows and that resolved the problem. This hotel was good in other areas and I really liked the breakfast buffet.

Subject: Hygiene Incident on Feb 9 and Inadequate Handling – Request for Review Hello, We stayed at Cross Hotel in Kyoto from February 4 to 12, booked through your platform. Housekeeping on February 5 was normal, and from February 6 to 8 the assigned housekeeper performed well and the room condition was satisfactory. However, on February 9, after housekeeping service, we returned to our room and found a used cleaning cloth placed directly on top of our open suitcase. Food items were placed on the suitcase at that time. The cloth had not been removed after cleaning was completed. We immediately reported this to the front desk. The staff only removed the cloth and did not arrange any re-cleaning or sanitation of the suitcase surface. Over the following two days, we continued to notice incomplete cleaning procedures, including: • Floors not properly vacuumed (we were traveling with a crawling baby) • The outer plastic packaging from a tissue refill left in the room, along with an unused tissue (which only became wrinkled after our baby touched it) Additionally, during breakfast service, we observed a staff member drop a fruit tong and place it back on the buffet without replacement or sanitization. Management did not meet with us until the third day. The only compensation offered was two bottles of sparkling water and a one-hour late check-out. We stayed at Cross Hotel Kyoto with our family and had a great experience. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, which made our stay with kids easy and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The hotel is in an excellent location central but perfect for exploring Kyoto on foot or by public transport. The common areas are modern and well designed, and everything felt well organized and thoughtfully managed. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. We would definitely recommend it for families as well as couples or travelers looking for a stylish and well-located hotel in Kyoto.

The area was perfect and close to everything, but the hotel was average. The room and amenities were just ok. The cleaning service was below expectations because they would forget to clean certain area or replace some things.

The hotel was very clean and quite. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The best thing about the hotel is its location, its close to the Nikishi Market and many restaurants.

I would have given the 5 stars if the TV programming had been a little better. The only channel available in English was the BBC. The rest only Japanese !! The streaming services needed a subscription so for us was no option. I guess many guests in your hotel don't speak japanese.

We loved our stay at the Cross Hotel Kyoto. Our room was a real haven from the heat of the Kyoto summer. Beds were comfy (especially the duvets), there was enough room for 4 of us, the separate bathroom and toilet area was very helpful. Lots of things to see close by, as well as good access to transportation. Overall a fantastic stay and we hope to be back someday!

We had an incredible stay at the Cross Hotel Kyoto. We had the Deluxe Corner King Room which was very spacious and had a wonderful view across the valley. Location was great, breakfast was delicious (lots of options), and the hotel was great.

The check in process was through a self check in versus a computer, they had someone who was helping but she barely spoke english so the process took longer then necessary if I had to just done it myself. Also for a higher priced hotel not having a reception check in was weird. The wifi in this place is abysmal. We had a really hard to time searching anything and had to be on our portable wifi most of our stay.

Perfect location and plenty of to do. If your on lower floors windows will be frosted for privacy but would be great to have an option to see out of

Good location and good sized room. They refused to deal with food allergy, so could not eat the breakfast. Would not recommend to anyone with an allergy.

The hotel staff was extremely professional and the hotel itself was lovely. The restaurant next door had a rude gentleman that was managing the door/reservations. Otherwise, I loved the hotel and will definitely book this hotel again when I return!!

Staff was great finding a missing bag my daughter left behind from our taxi ride from one of the attractions. We were amazed they were able to find the bag the same day especially without a receipt. Super happy with the service!

Great location for cherry blossom viewing. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection and plenty of seating. Staff was very helpful. Housekeeping service very good. We shipped our luggage from Kyoto to Tokyo and the front desk staff took care of everything for us. Staff was always available to help with directions or ordering a taxi for us.

Great location - walkable to a lot of sights and close to 2 train stations for easy access to other areas; 1 min walk to the riverside. Lots of restaurants and basic shopping needs in the area. Rooms were new, clean and spacious, and the complimentary coffee bar was great. At times a little noisy at night when louder / rowdy people walk by, but overall an excellent experience. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for four nights while in Kyoto. The location was great. Ideal for doing local shopping or jumping on the subway. It was also right in an area with a bunch of nightlife, which was cool to see, and didn’t have any negative impact on the area (Japan in general is very safe). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is conveniently located, and our room is cleaned. We have breakfast included but were disappointed with it. Almost all the foods were the same everyday. For instance, they served overcooked sunny side up eggs, and mentaiko tamago everyday. I love to eat Japanese style breakfast, but the tsukemono served never change for the seven nights we stayed there. The WiFi is super slow when where were to many guests. I was not able to connect to the WiFi on mornings when there were too many guests at the lobby. Overall the hotel is nice to stay but not the breakfast.

Nice property and very convenient location. The room was showing a tiny bit of wear for a premium property, but everything was manageable. Great breakfast selection.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and we enjoyed it a lot. The location was great for dinning, shopping, easy to get in/out. The room was super clean and big for our family of 4. Very quiet. We had amazing breakfast buffet every morning! It made our day start happily. Stuff was professional and friendly. Free coffee at lobby was also nice. Definitely recommend to friends and family. Everything about this hotel was great, from the welcoming staff, AMAZING breakfast, and super clean rooms. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Phenomenal location and clean hotel. My only (minor) criticism would be the lack of variability in the breakfast buffet, but overall - I will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!
