We had a great stay here - the property is centrally located, nicely designed and has great amenities. The check-in process was smooth and we were happy overall. The only comment is on parking - if you are driving, the hotel does not have a car park and parking in central Wellington on a weekend was an absolute nightmare for us as we were unfamiliar with the city. I ended up finding 70 Tory Street Garage which was a 4 minute walk from the hotel, as the the closer car park “Care Park” only accepts payment via their app and the app is not available to international customers. Tory Street was only $20NZD for overnight parking and seemed safe and secure. The hotel providing more information on this in advance would’ve been useful!

This is a good hotel to stay at - location great, close to the waterfront and a supermarket plus restaurants and bars. Room was lovely, bed comfortable. Only pain was the lack of onsite parking - the offsite option was expensive and the street parking suggested had a two hour limit and wasn’t easy to find - if you didn’t have a car this place would be fantastic!

Hotel is nicely rennovated and clean. Great location. No parking but there is plenty around on the street but you need to pay a parking meter. The internet needs improving as the TV is all streaming and sometimes was slow. Got frustrating at times.

Rooms nice and location good but disappointing overall. 1) The shower in the room was lukewarm and pressure was poor. 2) The lift was often stuck on 3rd floor, we were in and out all the time so it was very annoying. 3) The gym's treadmill was out of order.

The location is obviously excellent, and the aesthetics are awesome - it's a really cool modern art deco style. Sadly if you're a bigger person or have mobility issues this is not the hotel for you. The stairway, elevator, and even the front doors are all narrow. There's also only one lift and it takes ages to come when you call it. The tapware is gorgeous, but less functional than it is pretty. The shower has two taps rather than a mixer, and I didn't turn the cold on at all, so the water pressure was a little low but it would have been too cold if I'd used both taps. The holder for the shower head was flimsy and kept flopping about, the plughole cover didn't fit the plughole properly so it kept sliding around, and the shower is in desperate need of a caddy as there's nowhere to put your own things except on the floor. On my last night, the holder for the shampoo etc. bottles came crashing to the ground in the middle of the night. The included toiletries were really lovely though. The little kitchenette was well equipped, even with a couple of herbal teas. The TV was useless; when I tried to sign into my Disney account I kept getting a connectivity error, and the Live TV channel had no channels. I even tried scanning for channels and it didn't find any. Everything else was pretty standard - comfy bed, nice staff, easy check in and check out.

The place and room was well presented with modern appliances. Very clean. Staff were great and checkin went smoothly. Would definitely stay here again and very close to restaurants etc. Only downfall is parking. Outside parking is run by the council and work very expensive. We managed to find a parking place which was about 15 mins walk away where we could leave the car there overnight and during the day for half the price. Also maybe move the fire alarm away from the breakfast area and someone had set alarm off from burning their toast. Other than that, couldn’t fault it

Overall an OK hotel. However considering the price you would expect a bit more. Room was not cleaned properly, dirty coffe plunger (with coffee left from previous stay), empty water jar in the fridge, toilet door in some dirt splashes. Some guests been noisy all night and no one attended that. Wouldn't be on my list to revisit, sorry

Nice feel to the place but Sheets and duvet in room 9 on 27/6/24 had multiple stains on it. Felt yuck when we woke up to it. Should’ve checked it prior! Lesson learnt.

Fabulous staff who went out of their way. The hotel was very quiet despite being in a busy area of town. The complimentary coffee machine, sparkling water and fruit was much appreciated. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Hotel was in a good location and the reception team were very helpful. House keeping appeared to struggle to complete a service and after the second day we had to ask for our room to be cleaned. It was great that they provided a complimentary breakfast in reception albeit toast, cereals etc Would stay again if house keeping was guaranteed.

Troy by Wyndham is a beautiful new hotel. Modern, very quiet & comfortable. Our room, on the first floor, had no windows! Needless to say, it was dark & very nice for sleeping. The hotel offers a really good continental breakfast, with cereal, yoghurt, toast, toppings, Nespresso coffee, juice. There are many delicious restaurants & a grocery store (New World) very close by. We parked on the street outside the hotel. Unfortunately our car was damaged while parked. I’d have preferred a secure lot close by. We were encouraged by staff to use the metered parking outside the hotel. Otherwise, the staff was amazing! Excellent choice in Wellington. Very close to the ferry to the South Island.

Fantastic room! We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the 5th floor. It has all amenities like fridge, washer/dryer. It has 2 bathrooms which wasn’t apparent on the listing so was a nice surprise. The bathrooms even have heated floor tiles and mirror lights. I highly recommend! The staff on check in and check out were lovely, I forget his name but I wanted to mention them specifically for making the stay so easy and enjoyable.

Very comfortable, great location. First night I was next to the Mechanical plant, there were no spare rooms so the staff gave me ear plugs. I got very littke sleep. They moved me the next day and it was very good.

Room 002 appeared to have been converted from a storage space - in fact there was access to storage via the fake window in the room. So no natural light or air flow. It was also noisy - the lift machinery we believe and we could hear other guests using their bathrooms as it seemed to flow through pipes next to our room.

Easy check-in. The room was very nice with a retro style. The bathroom was HUGE, the shower was a great size with a fold down seat and a washer / dryer combo machine. The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is a 5 min walk and a must visit to see the Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War exhibition. Lots of restaurants close by!

Dust, low water pressure, noisy especially the rangehood vent that flapped when windy - sounded like a drum). Broken appliances, that staff where well aware of before our visit. 5th floor rooms aubject to heavy footateps and noise when penthouse above host a party. Room 501 Wont be back

Great looking hotel, staff were really good and the room was nicely decorated. If you are intending to stay over a weekend, expect ALOT of noise coming into a front room. Courtney place is a cacophony of noise, and having a 24 hour gym right next to your room is a big turn off. I would have appreciated being informed that at the time of booking.

Booked this since we would be getting off the ferry at 10:00pm. I had checked earlier and advised there would be a desk clear for check in. At 8:00 pm I received an email with a code to get in and another code inside for a lockbox. The code keypad outside had to be defective as it was repeating digits. We followed another guest in and then found out the code for the keybox provided in the email was incorrect. We had to call to get the correct code. What should have taken 5 minutes took 30 and we were tired from a 10 hour travel day. Just an overall bad experience. No excuses!

The hotel is normally quite nice but they cheat there guests in this way, that they offer rooms without windows. That’s unbelievable. I booked rooms for my whole group and some are really nice and the other rooms are not good because of the window situation. The lady at the reception was really arrogant and not helpful. She told my guests an me that we can go to an other hotel and they will refund the money. They know that they have some bad rooms but just sell them as normal rooms. I never met an arrogant lady as the one at the reception.

We did a stay-cation and thought we would try a new local hotel. We really loved it! The rooms were very modern, clean and quiet. We stayed in the 1 Bedroom Apartment, which was great for the price. The lounge didn't have a couch to cosy up on, and the bedroom had no TV - not a biggie - but next time we would probably just stay in the King Studio room. The staff were amazing! Especially Chris - who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

Nice clean modern hotel, room was nice, bed was comfortable. Nice touch having a Nespresso machine in the lobby you can access. Close to local restaurants and walking areas. Little noisy at night with all the baboons on Courtenay Place lairing up. Would stay again.

Fantastic location, just 5 min walk to Te Papa and the waterfront. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby to choose from and walking distance to the sights. Would definitely stay here again. The added bonus of all day free teas, coffee and other refreshments, snacks downstairs in the lobby area was awesome. New World supermarket is just a short walk away too. Super comfy bed and nice toiletries available - a perfect place to stay for our group.

Clean, quiet and comfy in a very good location. Rooms are small and probably would only recommend for a short stay due to room size and lack of natural light. Decor is fresh and modern, bed is amazing. Breakfast is awful so skip and go to a nice local cafe instead!

Great overnight stay. Convenient location. Stayed in king studio which was a nice size room with nice touches in room. Good well lit bathroom mirror. Comfortable bed. Was good value for money, snack and drink in room on arrival complimentary and free breakfast, which consisted of toast, cereal etc. if you want a better breakfast Joes Garage is next door! Would definitely stay again.

Great location and lots of food options around! The best part was the candy and coffee available all day at the breakfast bar! Staff was super kind and helpful. I had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
