Fly Decó Hotel

Convenient, clean hotel with nice breakfast, little bar area and beautiful roof top. Only complaint was that only shampoo was provided in shower. No shower gel or conditioner.

Free breakfast was excellent, room had an excellent view of the ocean and beach. Room was small but comfortable. Parking was convenient on site and only 12 euros per day. Many restaurants and cafes in the area. Only 20 minutes to airport.

Kjempe fint nytt hotell med en kjempe fin takterasse bar. Er nok et av de beste hotellene i Ostia, ligger veldig sentralt til sentrum. Frokosten var ikke favoritten. Men personal og service var tipp topp. Rommene små men rene.

We arrived toward the end of breakfast and found that the eggs were no longer edible, but everything else was fine. The rooftop terrace is lovely! Rooms are small but adequate. The AC only cools to 21C so we found that too warm so opened the window.

Small modern hotel on the Ostia coast. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was amazing; outstanding selections. The hotel has an agreement with a private beach area across the street. The chairs and umbrellas are NOT included and cost extra but it was totally worth it to not use the public beach area. Airport shuttles are an extra charge but nice and timely. This is the perfect place for a few nights on the beach. The AC actually works well and was able to cool out room appropriately. I would definitely stay again.

Arrived early and our luggage was stored in a secure room. Told to return in 1/2 hour. So we were able to walk to nearby dining area ( 10 minutes at most ) returning after our lunch, quickly received a room. Check in by 12:30 way before posted time. Thank you Fly Deco hotel Ostia. Front desk was very helpful with directions and questions we had and were answered with a smile and managed to help us with our limited knowledge of the Italian language. I should have mentioned people by name but they were all excellent. Our room was very clean and fresh smelling, had a working safe and large bathroom. The breakfast area in the hotel was kept very clean and stocked with many choices. Magda & Pricilla always had a smile and cleaned the tables immediately after the hotel guests finished eating. Good service again! Almost forgot to mention the rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the Lido di Ostria, plenty of chairs and tables. They were cleaning the area on the morning we left. Right across from the beach. Very close to local pedestrian area with shopping, restaurants and people watching. Bus station and Metromare train were very nearby. Taxi strike one morning when we wanted to visit Ostia Antica so desk told us the night beforehand when we explained our plans. Correct opening hours were given to us and number of bus to get to site too. Very happy with our choice to stay here because of proximity to FCO airport (15 minutes) and getting a chance to unwind after hectic Rome

Great location and good rooms. Nice and tidy and friendly staff. Breakfast was better than expected. Roof top terrace was really nice.

It was further from the airport than anticipated. The shuttle was good but we didn't know we had to book 24 hrs ahead so we only took one way. The reception staff was super. We left too early for breakfast so the staff made us a breakfast to go. Highly recommend.

Excellent stay with close proximity the airport. Room was spacious and clean with no noise. Reception staff were very helpful for booking taxis and also the shuttle bus to the airport is super affordable and convenient - I wish I knew about this for when I arrived.

This was a lovely boutique-style hotel right across the street from the beach. The decor was modern. Our hotel room was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfy. The views from the rooftop terrace were amazing! There were numerous restaurants and shops within walking distance. I definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

Moisissure autour des fenêtres, douche qui déborde si on met son débit au maximum, on entendait le couple qui était dans la chambre d’à côté et le mini frigo faisait des bruits étranges, ne pas prendre s’il faut partir tôt le matin, la réception n’est pas ouverte

Good service and the room was nice and clean

Everything was fine until we had the bed sheets changed. We woke up with bug bites! Not sure if it was sand fleas or something else but it definitely came from the room.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were friendly. The room was comfortable, the hotel was so clean. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful.

Where do I start… first of all there’s absolutely nothing around this property. Second of all our room was SO DIRTY still. Toilet was not clean, someone clearly used the bathroom before our stay. The toilet still had urine stains on it. On top of that, there was a trail of ants throughout our whole stay there. We had a few pieces of hair on our bathroom counter and out bed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. UNACCEPTABLE.

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff friendly and everything was smooth from pick up at the airport to the staff ordering us a taxi to rome.

Not a good place to stay on the summer. Air conditioning had problems and the building is hot.

The space in the room was smaller than I expected, and the bed was smaller as well

Nice rooms with a great view to the sea. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous! There’s a shuttle to the airport (13 Euros PP). We got dropped off on the right side of the hotel and there are signs pointing to reception which weren’t accurate - took us a bit to find the front entrance which was actually on the left side. The front desk person at checkin was not very friendly and almost rude, but other staff during our stay were very nice and helpful. The rooftop bar is great!! The area itself is more residential but there’s a town square within walking distance with a lot of options, and there is a beach bar right across the street that had great seafood. We learned the beaches right across the street you have to pay for but the public beach isn’t too far down the road.

Rooms were quite small. Non ocean view rooms not too scenic. Local taxi service is sporadic but shuttle to the airport is helpful and reasonable just all ow one hour for traffic. Staff and cleanliness were very good… style is modern.

Lovely room with sea view, A bit small but it was a standard room, loved the windows around the corner..and in the bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful, Would stay there again..

Only complaint is that the room was small. Besides that I have no complaints, the room was very clean, check in process was smooth and shuttle service to airport was on time. The staff was very pleasant and helpful!

Our experience was tainted by our interaction with the front desk man on the first day. As instructed by Expedia, we both emailed and called the hotel 2 days in advance to let them know our Itinerary and our need for shuttle service. The man on the phone was receptive, and made a note(so he said) and told us that there was no need to make a reservation for pick up only for drop off. Nonetheless we wanted to confirm we would have a way to make it to the hotel. When we arrived we called to ask where the gathering point was for the shuttle pick for the hotel. The man proceeded to tell me I had not communicated with the hotel to tell them I would be needing the shuttle. I told him that I had communicated by both email and phone, he said that I didn't have a confirmation code. No where does it say you need a confirmation code. He basically blamed us for the shuttle not being there, and then hung up on us. It was quite disappointing. We were in no way disrespectful, but I guess he didn't like what we were asking so he hung up. So there we were tired from our flight, in a new country for the first time, don't speak Italian and now have to find a way to the hotel. The taxes kept telling my husband that they only drove to Rome, not Lido di Ostia where the hotel is located. $50 for a 9 min taxi ride we made it to the hotel. There is a lack of communication among staff, and it leaves the customer in a lurch.

Nicely decorated hotel with a beautiful terrace and an awesome view of the sea. Lovely breakfast, welcoming staff who arranged our transportation to the airport .

At the time of my check out Breakfast was supposed to be from 7-10am I left the hotel at 6:45am Asked for a coffee and told the receptionist was willing to pay for it because I was heading to the airport and couldn’t wait for breakfast He told me he can’t get me a coffee in the meantime someone else was having a coffee 10 ft away from me on the bar! When I checked out he asked me if I still wanted the coffee after he could check in with the manager I refused and went on my way The hotel is somewhat ok The room is extremely small The beach and broad walk are within walking distance and very convenient for all restaurants Wouldn’t spend my money on that place again You’re definitely treated as a tourist and in their eyes they’ll never see you again so just pay and be gone All they want is your money

Great beach location, sits right across the street from the beach and close to shops and redo. Very clean and everyone who worked there is super friendly. The hotel offered a shuttle service for a fee to the airport which was very convenient for us. We would stay here again.

My room was great and as requested, corner room, but didn’t get higher floors. Check in was a challenge as they did not receive my email in sending shuttle service; then reception was rather rude and arrogant, morning and evening reception service. Although they did accommodate late checkout by 45 mins and then shuttle back to airport was on time and service was great. The breakfast eggs and bread system were terrible - egg was hard like a rock and service slow even though they were not busy. Would not stay here again though unless they fix their table manners.

Hotel staff hung up on us when we asked for help getting to this location.

We were excited about this property as a friend recommended it from their good experience. Unfortunately, we did not get this. We booked the more expensive ocean view room as we love watching sunsets. When we arrived the gentleman who check us in was not exactly friendly. We went to our room which was on the first floor on the 4 level hotel. I gave it a shot on the view but realized when we got in room the ocean was not visible and we were right on the busy street. So I went down and asked if he had a higher unit. He said he did but we couldn’t have it. Once we went back to our room it was realized the AC wasn’t working, so a call was made and he had to activate the unit. We then went to shower to find out there was no hot water. Another call was made and he again said he’d turn it on. Made us feel very unwelcome. There were no wash cloths and only two small pillows and two oddly shaped decorative pillows. I was so spent from traveling all day that I just didn’t wanna deal with the staff anymore. It was a nice clean room and building but staff was a let down along with room amenities. Not sure it’s a big thing, but there was not English tv to watch. The check in gentleman also told me coffee would be available for me at 6am as we left early to catch a flight. When I went to lobby for that the morning guy looked at me like I was crazy even though I explained the night guy told me this poor information. If they read this it’s more informative to their crew and room preparation.

This is definitely not an airport hotel the length it takes to get from the airport to the hotel and back. It’s just as far as city center and I highly recommend you staying in city center because everything is closed after October through the next May in this location. They say the property has a restaurant that’s also closed off season. It was very hot during our day in November. They also don’t turn on the air conditioning or allow you to off-season.. the room is absolutely so small. There’s nowhere to put your things and it’s quite uncomfortable. It’s definitely not the size or if it is their layout as odd because the bed takes up the entire room and there’s no way you can move around comfortably.. the shower fits a half a person you could barely even fit in there and I’m pretty small so it’s not because I’m a large person. There’s other places to stay in. This definitely is a place that we would never go back to wasn’t hospitable. The staff was a little cold and standoffish and unfortunately that’s not a kind of place I wanna stay. The breakfast was definitely well set up although we didn’t use it all the days we did on one day and it was replenished constantly, and the staff there kept everything clean and tidy and well stocked.

This was shown as being close to the airport on expedia. I would say this is not accurate as geetong there was difficult for a one night stay. The hotel itself however is nice and clean

We stay here when we fly into or out of Fiumicino airport. We love the area and the hotel is conveniently located from train station and walkable to restaurants. The hotel is clean and staff all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and stocked with bathroom supplies. They offer airport shuttle to FCO (for a fee) as well.

The Fly Deco Hotel is very conveniently located on the beach with excellent dining and bar locations within a 2 minute walk. The "Lido Centro" train station is a 9 minute walk. The staff was very professional, friendly and always willing to help. Very close to the airport but not overwhelmed by it. 15 euros and 25 minutes later you are at the airport. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

What a beautiful hotel!! My husband and I had a room with a beautiful view of the sea. The staff were do very helpful and it is definitely a hotel that we would recommend and we plan on returning. In close walking distance to shops and restaurants.

The property was lovely the breakfast was yummy and very plentiful and the rooms were cleaned beautifully. All the staff very helpful. To note however there is no lunch or dinner options here anymore other than antipasto (snacks)

Wonderful to stay across from the beach and only a walk away from a choice of restaurants on our last night in Italy. Staff were helpful. The only low points were some confusion about how to get on to the beach, and our box breakfast (we left before breakfast service started) wasn’t worth getting, as it had a few day old pastries, some chalky yogurt, and just a single banana for two people. I would stay there again.
