The property had plenty of room for our family and with our luggage. It is a short walk from the Kyoto Station (10-15 minutes). There are several 7-11's located in the area so you can grab food/drinks. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar located in the lobby/common area. The staff was friendly and assisted us with any questions we had. They provided us with amenities such as toiletries, fresh towels daily, and water. The rooms are newer and the bathroom was new and had a nice shower/tub. We really enjoyed the space, we have stayed at plenty of hotels throughout Japan and this room had more room than other places which helps when you are traveling with a family. Tge neighborhood was quiet which was nice not hearing the cars and city life. We would stay there again.

Staff were very friendly and helped us store our luggage for us before check in time. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and there was also Netflix available (Japanese only but you can select Eng subtitles). Downside is that there is nothing in the area so you need to spend quite a bit of time travelling to the tourist attractions. Also it is also located near a train track and the windows are thin so you can hear trains running if you’re a light sleeper.

大人3人で宿泊しました。部屋も広く綺麗で大満足です。久しぶりの家族旅行でしたが、全員が楽しめました！ 東寺近くのため、カフェが周りにあるのがいいですね。次はカフェ散策に行きたいと思います。1人でも是非行きたい。 それと、近くの駐車場が安くて便利でした！

We had a great stay at Hotel Banister Kyoto. The hotel is located in a quiet area within a 10-min walk from the main Kyoto station. There is plenty of convenience stores, restaurants and a large mall within walking distance. We also found the park 2mins walk great give our kids a run around at (the aquarium is next to the park too). The room itself was spacious with a good layout. It had lots of great amenities and comfy beds. There is a small cafe and restaurant on the lobby but we never used it as the cafe didn’t open until 11 (even for coffee). Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Very nice hotel and comfortable stay. Good accommodating for luggages storage before/after checkin. Too bad the breakfast required reservation and there wasn't much restaurant to close by. Close-by To-ji, train museum and aquarium.

Location is great, next to Kyoto aquarium and a nice park. Staff are all very nice and helpful, also English friendly. Some of the floor mattresses for the tatami room and pillows were heavily stained but other than that everything was nice and clean.

The property itself was okay. The hotel itself was very quiet and staff weren’t always around. At times it felt like a ghost hotel. The room itself was spacious, with a nice bathroom. However, there wasn’t any cupboard space, the space I don’t think was used efficiently as it could have been. It is the first hotel I’ve ever been too around the world that doesn’t change your bed… I stayed 5 days and they don’t change the sheets at any point. They do come in to change the bins replace the item of clothing- the gown they provide. Staff were polite but there wasn’t any information about their restaurant or local area handed out. Would I stay here again? No.

We're a group of 6. This room provided us more than enough space for each of us. The tatami area is spacious that we could lay 4 futons + the table with sitting for tea in there. Sliding doors provide privacy from the bedding and tatami areas. So, my husband and I could sleep without feeling like 6 people in a room. Also, the bathroom is nice and big. I could bath in an American standard bathtub each day. I loved it! Also, the hotel was the only one that we would receive bottle waters each day comparing with other 3 hotels we stayed in our trip.

Amazing little hotel close to Kyoto station. Very nice rooms and great service. It’s a nice mix of modern luxuries with some traditional features. Not an issue for us but we didn’t know about the accommodation tax that we had to pay when we checked in. It wasn’t a lot and it goes to keeping the city maintenance but we didn’t know about it till we got there.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Banister Kyoto. The location was perfect – central and with easy access to Kyoto Station, making it very convenient to get around. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and modern, with a great bathroom. We had a small issue with the hot water at first, but the staff quickly resolved it. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Banister Kyoto to other travelers.

The property had plenty of room for our family and with our luggage. It is a short walk from the Kyoto Station (10-15 minutes). There are several 7-11's located in the area so you can grab food/drinks. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar located in the lobby/common area. The staff was friendly and assisted us with any questions we had. They provided us with amenities such as toiletries, fresh towels daily, and water. The rooms are newer and the bathroom was new and had a nice shower/tub. We really enjoyed the space, we have stayed at plenty of hotels throughout Japan and this room had more room than other places which helps when you are traveling with a family. Tge neighborhood was quiet which was nice not hearing the cars and city life. We would stay there again.

Absolutely loved the location and room we stayed in! Short walk from Kyoto Station, lots of Family Mart , 7-Eleven and Lawsons nearby! Also walkable to many other dining options. If youre adventurous like my husband and I were, we walked to Nishiki Market and Fushimi Inari and got lost in the beauty of Kyoto ! The room was quiet and surprisingly being by the train tracks, we barely heard them pass by! The staff were so excellent with food/sightseeing suggestions and even helped us figure out how to work the shower LOL !!! We are from Canada and used to just turning the tap on and adjusting the heat. This bathroom has a keypad for the room hot water/shower/bath we couldn't figure out! The staff were so sweet when we went to ask how to work the hot water and bathroom tablet! I would definitely stay here again during our next Japan trip!

Het hotel ligt wat buiten het centrum, maar bus en trein is op wandelafstand. We waren vooral gecharmeerd door de extra kamer met tafel naast de slaapkamer.

The hotel is not in the busy area but there are enough restaurants around and not too far to walk to Kyoto station so I think it’s good option for travelers. The rooms are very clean and large, very good for families.

The Room was very nice, except for the big step up to enter bathroom. Good bed - large enough for Americans. Resturant only serves Japanese breakfast, and often closed for dinner while we were there.

La experiencia no ha sido buena. No habia agua caliente en la ducha de la habitacion, no habia cortina en el tatami por lo que si dormias alli, la liz del sol entraba a las 5:00am y finamente muy mal el desayuno: nos pidieron confirmar la hora y no entendemos el motivo ya que al llegar no estaba nada preparado y el desayuno en si, el occidental, la unica bebida era agua (ni cafe ni zumo ni nada más) y la comida eran dos hojas de lechuga, una loncha de beicon, un pure de verduras y 3 minipiezas de bolleria (lo unico comestible de todo el desayuno). En resumen, muy mala experiencia.

We had a great stay at Hotel Banister Kyoto. The hotel is located in a quiet area within a 10-min walk from the main Kyoto station. There is plenty of convenience stores, restaurants and a large mall within walking distance. We also found the park 2mins walk great give our kids a run around at (the aquarium is next to the park too). The room itself was spacious with a good layout. It had lots of great amenities and comfy beds. There is a small cafe and restaurant on the lobby but we never used it as the cafe didn’t open until 11 (even for coffee). Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Just enough out of the way to be quiet but still close to major transportation stops. Big bathroom with an Onsen style shower and tub. Closest konbini was a little bit of a walk away, first time we've run into that in our travels in Japan. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the central train station, yet our room was remarkably quiet. In fact, the entire hotel was peaceful—we often felt as though we were the only guests. We stayed in a traditional quadruple room, which was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We especially appreciated the traditional dining area, which added to the experience. The staff were welcoming and pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. If I could suggest a couple of areas for improvement, the bathroom was a little dark, and our room did not offer any view. Although our corner room had several windows, they were frosted and could not be opened. These were only minor drawbacks and did not detract significantly from our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.
