Hyde Beach House Hollywood Private Suites

The rooms were clean, facilities were nice but elevator and pool accommodations left a lot to be desired. A 15 minute wait, at a minimum, trying to get on an elevator was ridiculous. Absolutely not chairs or tables poolside, no coffee shops or food on site. Valet was good minus not being able to get through on the phone to get our vehicle before getting downstairs and having to wait another 20 minutes after 30 waiting and riding an elevator. So almost an hour to check out and leave.

Great location, helpful staff. Large hotel, so elevator wait times are real and need factored in to your planning. But amenities- pool, courts etc don’t feel crowded. Valet service was flawless. Room and amenities were beautiful and well kept.

1 or two of the elevators didn't work during my stay, it was horrible. We have waited 30-35 minutes every time we had to use it and sometimes had to take the stairs 32 floors with young kids

Overall the property is great, staff were very helpful and location is great. The main issue at the property were the elevators, the property was busy and sometimes we had to wait about 20 minute's for the elevators. We had to take the stairs from the 22nd floor, as the wait was too pong for the elevators

Great place. Need to fix elevators so patrons are not waiting long periods of time to get down from high floors.

The elevator issues are real. 3 elevator worked and we often waited 15-25 mins to catch an elevator.

The rooms were really big and the location was good to enjoy the area. The beach was a 4 minute walk across the street. Good staff and above average hotel gym

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The pools and outdoor area are very nice. You have to cross a busy road to get to the beach, but there is a designated area for hotel guests. They were frequently out of pool / beach towels and they only allow one per person. Overall, our room was clean but the sofa in our room was stained and looked dirty. The beds were very comfortable and the balcony was spacious. They do charge a $150.00 cleaning fee that we were not aware of ahead of time. They also charge a $150. 00 daily security deposit at check in that we were not aware of. The security deposit is refundable but you do have to pay it when you check in. Also, the restaurant was not open while we were there. The bar was open during pool hours, sunrise to sunset.

We chose to stay at the Hyde Beach House for our family vacation based on previous reviews. Unfortunately, they must be out of date reviews because we found the cleanliness to be sub-par at best. The couch was disgusting and I wouldn’t let my toddler even touch it. I requested an extra sheet and covered the couch with it. The floor has dirt smeared into the tiles. It looks as though the cleaning staff attempted to clean it, but the sticky residue was leftover and hairs and dirt just stayed. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. I requested extra towels to help mop it up and I was met with resistance. Before we had even opened the door upon arrival a member of the cleaning staff mentioned they put in a request to clean our balcony… which was filthy and never happened during our one week stay. I called down to the front desk to ask for someone to come and look at our TV, as it wasn’t working in the living room. The batteries look corroded and I requested new ones. Although the staff wasn’t rude, they requested I go to the 7/11 downstairs and get new ones. We did figure since we were staying in a 1bedroom suite with a full kitchen (fridge, oven, stove, dishwasher and laundry in unit) that were might be some dish soap, sponge etc. nothing. We had to go to the nearby Walmart to buy all the cleaning supplies and paper towels for our stay. I figured at the very least they would provide us with sample sized products. Overall, our stay at the Hyde was disappointing.

Suite was clean if you didn't look too closely at stains on furniture. Check in and check out process was efficient and staff was friendly. Definitely a party hotel as all night long we could hear furniture moving and music in the room above us. Was pricey for the value but we just needed something with three bedrooms close to Lauderdale airport.

These are older condos. We rented a partial ocean/poolview. They are not sound proof and sit next to the freeway. Sirens, cars, motorcycles all hours of the night. Glad we locked the cost with Expedia since the condos charge multiple excessive fees. Parking, cleaning, resort and non smoking fee. Our condo room 807 smelled of pot and cigarettes. Although they did offer to move us later after attempting to swiffer and spray air freshner. The bedding, towels, and curtains had nicotine burns. We had already unpacked, ordered grocery and food delivery. Ironically I was still charged the deposit/feesfor no smoking and cleaning. I would not recommend or stay here again.

The location was excellent for my purpose. It is across the street from the beach but I was there for work. Unfortunately, the wifi in the building was not strong enough. The first night, I had to hot spot myself to get work done. I did reach out to both Expedia and the front desk. I was slightly stronger the second night, but not strong enough to get work done, so I just woke up early to go to the conference center to log-in. The unit itself is a private residence, so I totally understand why they don't give access to their personal wifi, but if you're going to want wifi, the hotel open wifi isn't strong enough on the 38th floor. The view is lovely-- city side, not beach. Additionally, the light switches and plugs were not consistently functioning. The R bedside lamp, for example, didn't have a switch (broken off) so it required a little finagling to turn on and off. There is no main overhead lamp to the bedroom, so those bedside lamps are needed. I just used the bathroom light, but worth noting. AC also took a very long time to kick-in the first night and never got particularly cold. Instructions near the unit would be helpful. Again, unit itself is clean and the view from the 38th floor is lovely. The building and staff are nice. The location is excellent (though across a busy street from the beach). Wifi was very frustrating for work, but if you're looking to disconnect, that could be good.

Even with my flight delays and cancellation on the day of check in. I called and informed them that I had to drive because of last minute cancellation and when I got there 8 hours later than scheduled, the staff greeted me warmly and made sure to do the utmost to make my stay worth the drive. I was presented with a bottle of wine, cookies, and passes for free drink. They called me during my next day to check up on me. This will forever be my vacation resort when I travel to Ft. Lauderdale. My room was spectacular and VERY clean. I was on the 38th floor with a beautiful view of both the city and ocean. The pool on the 6th floor was beautiful and they had games. I was chosen as the guest of the day for Sunday and had a cabana all day. Although my trip started horrible due to Silver Airways and United Airlines, the staff at Hyde Beach House made all that wash away: thanks Daniella and the late night front desk check in staff.

Staff was excellent. Room spacious ( family of 5) Loved having 2 bathrooms. HUGE Balcony with wonderful view of the ocean. Will definitely stay here again!

had the two bedroom suite on the 29th floor. views were awesome. balocny was huge and extended bedroom to bedroom. full kitchen with double oven, living room, and modern spacious walk in showers. would stay here again

Nice propety and location, and friendly enough staff, but the fact is when we arrived there were multiple maintenance issues in the room that took days to solve (no water at all in one shower, only hot water at kitchem sink, some power outlets never worked, dead lightbulbs, blinking overhead lights, etc) They also tried to add cleaning charges which were reversed when I questioned them. Tennis court we were informed was closed for maintenence so some reason.

Everything is perfect, two problems 1. We wait a very long time for the elevator 2. On the lower floors there is a lot of noise from the cars at night

One of the best Hotels I have been so far. I checked the reviews before booking and the elevators issue was one of the main cons. After a whoke week stay I can say it was not a big problem for us. We stayed with family and children and it was a great experience. The pools are awesome and the rooms were very clean, they have a full kitchen that we used everyday as well as the laundry in the room, the satff was bery kind to us also. Even thou it is not by the beach ,the distance is walkable and very easy access. Parking is a little.bit expensive but the resort fees cover the beach umbrellas and towels which is not covered in other places,plus acces to all the amenities. Recommend 💯

I’ve been working in the hotel industry for years and I can say Hyde Beach House standards is shown in every staff member there. Our stay was very enjoyable! We would definitely come back and most certainly recommend. Special thanks to Danielle and Trent, they were very accommodating!

We got there at 4pm ready for check-in, but we had to wait more than one hour for them to finish cleaning the room. After waiting a while, when I went to ask if our room was ready, the latino guy at the reception said he doesn't remember last names. I had to show the driver license again to check the status of our room. I dont know how he forgot the last name, we were sitting next to him waiting the whole time. When our room was finally ready, the closets were dirty, the bed sheets had sand in them. The toilet got clogged my first day there. The elevator to go up or down takes 30 minutes waiting. We'll definitely never going back there. The hotel and amenities were good, but the service sucked. For the money we paid, we could have found a place directly on the beach that treat their guests nicer.

Love our stay here every year! But my favorite is the front desk help Fiona and the staff is amazing but she is my favorite!

Great place to stay with nice facilities! Stan at front desk is the best person to deal with. Our family with 2 small kids, really enjoyed the stay and the facilities. Staying close to the 6th floor helped get in and out faster. Only thing would be that I wish the basketball net was fixed so that it was straight.

Our room was not ready at the scheduled check-in time (4pm). This is very inconvenient for a family.

Hubby and I had two suits for our wedding party to get ready. The hotel staffs accommodated us so well. It was a perfect stay. 100000/10

Horrible customer service

I love how attentive the staff was. The property is beautiful. I spent most of my time in my room, it was extremely cozy and felt like home. The valet staff was super quick with bringing my car to the front when I texted. It was just overall an amazing experience. I’m from Miami and I do a lot of staycationing. This is on my list of one of my favorite spots to get away. I will be returning!

Front desk check in was horrible. Both Receptionist laughed when I asked if I could split my payment on two cards. It made me feel unwanted and not good enough to stay there.

First off a fair warning that they charge $150 DEPOSIT PER NIGHT!!!!! We were not told about this at all prior to booking just about resort fee and admin fees. I had to place a $750 deposit at arrival for 5 nights. Secondly I requested a late checkout due to a flight delay and was ask to pay $100 extra for 2 hours / checkout is 11am we requested 1pm checkout. Third, a lot of homeless ppl at the 7/11 store right on the property. Forth, this is NOT ocean front but ocean views. Fifth, this property is not walking distance to anything. We had to Uber across the bridge to Walmart and also to the Boardwalk which is about 2.5 miles away. The room was great! Updated and clean (we saw 2 baby roaches under the kitchen sink). The oddest disappointment was the nightly deposit fee of $150 a night! If your on a budget beware! Takes 3-7 days to get the deposit back after checkout.

Hyde Beach House is THE place to vacation in Broward County - Hallendale Beach !

Great location.

The property is a new construction, pretty, but is two blocks from the beach.

We had a great time here for the week. Walkable for groceries and to the local beach. We did end up getting a car and that was good to have too. Pool was fantastic, and staff were very friendly.

Perfect place for families: walkable distance to grocerie stores and beach. Stuff was helphull and nice. Also has 2 pools and an option for full kitchen if you'd preffer to cook on your own. We booked 2bed suite for 3 adults and one 3 yo kid. Will definitely consider Hyde next year!

The facility appeared to be nice when we arrived. There was NO AC after our first night and the room was stifling! We had to use the valet service. Wait times to retrieve vehicle is unacceptable we waited 30 minutes for them to bring the car one day. Last night I was walking along the path and someone threw a lit joint over the wall above where they park our vehicles and it literally almost landed on my head! Missing me by a couple inches. I yelled up to whomever did that and got security. These are the folks valeting the cars that have access to where that came down from. Pool was out of commission, room not that clean. One day I kept receiving a notification from my car indicating my car was unlocked with valet. The rude person was trying to pick a fight with me about how I would know if it’s unlocked and was trying to get me accuse people of stealing from my car when all I asked was for them to lock it. After a long argument with the rude person with creepy hair he finally went and locked my car. They messed with my seat adjustment and lights in the car. Some of the staff were extremely helpful and nice. Won’t return to this place ever! At Hilton doubletree next door now in nice cold AC! Oh and cookies!

The stay was beneficial because it offered a chance for my family and I to migrate to during Hurricane Milton. I wish that they would have refunded the resort fee because most of the amenities were closed, even the bball court, spa, and bar. We had to walk over to the Doubletree to get food, which was a shared restaurant! It was good for the stay as the furniture was a little dated and dirty! The towel rack in the master bathroom was barely hanging on! They had to move the balcony furniture inside the unit and there was a roach inside the cabinet that I didn’t mention to my wife because I didn’t want to freak her out! The staff was nice and friendly!

If you don’t mind laying out at the pool next to a major highway and hearing horns blow constantly and trucks going bye this is the hotel for you then. Staff wasn’t the friendliest at all. Theres no indoor dining here at the hotel, the manager told me to go to the hotel next door they share the restaurant at the double tree hotel . My room needed work, the sink was clock the oven didn’t work and also the sliding door out the the balcony was broken. The vallet parking was at nightmare as well. Very disappointed

I’ve been coming to the Hyde Hotel since 2020 and it never disappoints. Had another great stay over Mother’s Day—front desk was super friendly and accommodating as always. Food and drinks were great, and the vibe is always just right. One of my favorite spots!
