Recently remodeled . Fresh Paint , new carpet and new furniture ( think IKEA. Pretty much standard motel breakfast Was a real bargain at 80 a night for King Room Would absolutely stay here again for a night while passing through

Hotel is under renovation, new flooring and beds in room, pleasant decor. Hallways were very dirty, probably because of the renovation going on. TV wasn't plugged in, so did that and had to program the channels, still didn't work. Pleasant staff.

They are remodeling so there was construction debris on steps and hallway, the 3 score. Room was nice, bed was comfy, and overall quiet. I did have a remodeled room and i liked it.

My room was filthy I checked in earlier never went to the room just knew it would be very late I arrived as 2 am got to the room got settled went to wash my hands and face I grabbed the hand towel and there was blood on it I tried to reach the front desk but at three am no one responded if I wasn’t as tired as I was I would have left this is unacceptable on any level

Staff was courteous. Smoking rooms next to non-smoking rooms didn’t make much sense. In general room was clean, but hair in bathtub was gross. Beds and pillows comfortable.

It wasnt bad as far as room. They are doing updates but while staying we did find a few roaches in the room so beware when staying. We didnt want to stay our 2nd night due to this.

Room was damp and smelled overwhelmingly like mildew. Hair in the bath tub. Constant bathtub leak, almost stuck running. Asked for adjoining room only to find you couldn’t open the door becomes the furniture was in the way. Lobby sealed of smoke covered by a burning candle. We left the property in the first 15 minutes and found a new hotel.

We arrived in our room to find it feeling muggy because the air conditioning was not on. The cleanliness was not good. There was hair on the bathroom floor next to the toilet. One of the bedspreads had a stain on it and they were not smoothed out for our arrival. It looked like someone didn’t take time to make the beds in a professional way. The bathroom had issues to tend to. The ceiling tile above the shower was bowed, shower curtain was ripped in a few places where it was attached to the bar, and the tub faucet dripped. In my opinion, the room was not kept in a professional manner, and it was definitely the downside of our trip through Mason City.

If I could give it less than a star , I would. I wont even mention all the stuff because the most important thing you need to know is we got BEDBUGS!!! And of course they wouldn’t refund anything . So. Now you know !!

The room was very dirty. Walking around bear food was not advertised at all. The bathroom had mold on both the shower curtain and wall. The bedding was dirty! Yes the people were nice but definitely in need of a new cleaning person. They have smoking rooms and you could smell the smoke in the hallway i was rather disappointed.

Horrible absolutely horrible… the music coming from people’s rooms was so loud… the police pulled up several times from people in the hotel calling regarding the noise issue… I had earplugs in, and I still was unable to sleep. Literally the worst stay I’ve had in a hotel in years. Great place to take a shower. I would not recommend if you actually plan on sleeping.

I only had a couple of issues with my stay. The bed was almost too high for me to get in and out of. I have bad knees which made it a challenge. The bathroom was really small, which again was a little awkward. But overall, I enjoyed my stay there.

The sprinkler had a hole and wires exposed in the room and after talking to the desk nothing was done about it. The breakfast ran out before the end of breakfast time and overall the cleanliness was meh. The beds were reasonably comfortable so that was the only small bright spot.

The toilet flooded the first hour we were there. We were able to shut the water off before it got too deep on the floor. The plunger the employee gave us to use had seen better days -- it was flat and didn't seal well. The rain storm caused a leak in the ceiling at 1:00 a.m.; there was a wastebasket to catch the water dripping in. Loud people in room two doors away from us -- desk person handled it quickly.

I was put in a smoking room which I did not ask for. It stunk so bad I went to Walmart and bought air fresheners to mask the smell. The chair was filthy with hair (lots of hair) stuck down in the side of the cushions. Electrical running along the outside of the baseboards. Some ceiling tiles were water stained and the window curtains had brown water stains as well. The window lock was broken so could not lock it. The cord on the phone was dirty and disgusting. Continental breakfast consisted of hard boil eggs, raisen bran and cornflakes cereal, English muffin, toast, pastry/donuts, waffles and juices. For a Wyndham this property is very disappointing and sub par at the best.

The location was close to where I needed to be. I was NOT happy that the air conditio er did not blow cold air, let alone cool air, the refrigerator did not keep food cold and the freezer had ice build-up with something frozen into it. The sink in the bathroom was useless as the basin was almost as big as the circumference of the cabinet itself. I found the last person's coffee pod in the coffee pot when I went to make coffee.

When booking we notified them that it would be after average check in time that we would arrive as we live in missouri and had to work prior to arriving once we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes for the front desk worker to come help us when she was sitting in the breakfast area not doing anything. She gave us a room that we didnt pay for when we tried to get her to change it to the proper room sne wanted to say it was an upgrade which is wasnt it was a downgrade nothing matched up to the listing at all it we had also told them that we wanted extra towels while we were gone and tbey never even so much as cleaned the room while we were out and when it came to the breakfast it wasnt anything like the one in missouris was it was pretty well bare and only consisted of a boiled egg and cold ceral all in all not happy with our stay

Front receptionist, Kristi, was fabulous! She was very personable and since she is from the area even knew my whole family. Stayed at other places in the area yet you cant beet the price for the value here. Will always stay here when in town!

I've stayed at this property a number of times. I have always had a good night's rest when I have stayed at Days Inn Mason City. The Front Desk Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will very likely stay there again at some point.

This was a nicer Days Inn than most. Coffee & the breakfast were decent. My only complaint was that they had given my room to another person even though I had a confirmation. Then they tried to give me a smoking room which I refused. The lady then tried gaslighting me by asking why I had reserved a smoking room. I doubled checked my confirmation email & I did NOT reserve a smoking room. They finally found me a nonsmoking room but it would have been nice not to have gone through so much trouble in the 1st place & then having the blame put on me. I assume that since I didn’t checked-in until mid-evening combined with their lenient cancellation policy, they double booked; assuming I wasn’t staying & they didn’t want to miss out on renting out a room.

Window was left open prior to our arrival and it had rained several times that day. Water was running down the wall and all over the floor. Towels were stained with either blood or feces. We were in a Non-smoking room, but the whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. Heard from locals that this is a rough area.

Days Inn provided a clean, safe, convenient place to spend the night on our way west to the Black Hills. It was very comfortable and we slept well. As with most hotels we stay at, we cannot recommend the free coffee or breakfast. There was no decaf option and the regular coffee was very bad. The free breakfast was all carbs.

We have stayed here 2x now for business travels, and 1st time we had to change rooms for bug in room (wasn't chancing it), this time, we had to request new bedding as my bed hadn't been changed, and there were spots I have photos. And the fridge hadn't been cleaned, or towels. They offered new room, but we had unpacked, so we asked for clean bedding and changed it ourselves. The desk clerk was SO embarrassed, very sweet, and not her fault. "Breakfast" was bagels, toast. stale cereal and thats it.

Just needed a room with a bed for the night and it definitely served that purpose. Price was good, Beds were comfortable and the place was clean, no carpet on the floor which I like. I feel that’s more sanitary. Staff was very friendly. The only downside was the breakfast wasn’t anything to write Home about it was adequate.
