We had 4 night stay as a small family. Hotel is ideal location for the beach and the centre of Newquay. The limited parking is the only downside but actually the car parks a short walk away so dont allow this to put you off. Our room was very nice and clean with a nice ensuite and tea&coffee facilities. Breakfast has a good choice and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Breakfast was also consistently good. When visiting Newquay we would definitely return to this Hotel.

The only downside were the parking facilities. Only 3 spaces. However, apart from that everything was excellent. The food quality and quantity, the friendly staff, the room and facilities were all excellent. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay. Perfect location with easy parking options. Room was very clean and comfortable. Very spacious guest house with entertainment and bar. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly. Felt right at home. Will definitely be returning.

The view was good. The breakfast was set to room numbers 1-9 ate earlier than the other rooms. which meant if you were in room 10 or above you could end up having breakfast as late as 9.15 till 10, half the morning has gone by then, you could not change it, so if you wanted an early start you would have to miss breakfast even though you have paid for it. It seemed that the breakfast was served more for the convenience of the hotel rather than the customer. Parking could be difficult even though the hotel does advertise it, you are not guaranteed to get anywhere we didn't find that out until the day before we travelled.

Excellent property and owners, took care of me after I was injured in a car accident and made sure I was safe and cleaned up. Great breakfast in the morning and pleasant bar service at night. Quiet and off the main street of Newquay but within walking distance of all major shops and known by taxi services.

We stayed here for 1 night on a quick trip down to Cornwall. Margaret and Owen were great hosts and very attentive. Location was great, right in the centre of Newquay with lovely views of the beach. The only downside is the lack of parking at the property and being unable to get a space outside on the road, meaning we had to park in a car park. This was only a few minutes walk away but was only free between 00:00-9:00 unlike other reviews we previously had seen saying it was free from 4pm/6pm - 9:00am

Fantastic central location with wonderful views of the beach and Killacourt. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Excellent breakfast, well cooked and plenty of it, with lots of choices. Clean and comfortable room with large en suite. Thank you Natalie, we would definitely return.

We had a xmas party to go to for the evening so was looking for a reasonably priced B and B as only wanted a bed for the night. We were sooo lucky to have found this little gem right in the centre of Newquay, owner was very attentive as was the waitress at breakfast. Room was lovely and clean, and breakfast was scrummy. We will definitely recommend you, and book again if we are out in Newquay, thankyou soo much 😉

We stayed 4 nights in a room with sea view from bay window. Room was excellent, comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The whole house was spotless and freshly painted and the breakfast room was well stocked. Breakfast was superb, great eggs, and the service first class. The hosts, Owen & Margaret were very friendly and helpful and minor issues, like a non working lamp were attended to promptly. We would heartily recommend anyone to stay at this guest house.

Such a lovely hotel! Great location right in the middle of the town so easy to walk to local beaches, shops and restaurants. The room was 5*, beautiful views, clean and all the amenties that are needed, even with a mini fridge! Breakfast was well organised and delicious with more options that I've seen at most places including waffles. Staff were excpetionally friendly and helpful. The ability to be able to leave our luggage there after checking out so we could potentially catch a later train was very useful, although we ended up not using it, the staff were more than happy to look after it. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second visit to the Minerva Guesthouse and just like the first visit it was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it. The only slight negative is that this visit we had room 6 which felt rather cramped. Overall a fabulous break and the guesthouse is perfectly located.

We was greeted by Margaret when we checked in, she made us feel really welcomed. We had a bottle of champagne on our bed, room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really nice, Margaret told us where the best places to go and where not to go. Nat the waitress was amazing, she was so kind and understanding. Overall really enjoyed our stay and will be back again to se Margaret, Owen and Nat.

We stayed here for 1 night on a quick trip down to Cornwall. Margaret and Owen were great hosts and very attentive. Location was great, right in the centre of Newquay with lovely views of the beach. The only downside is the lack of parking at the property and being unable to get a space outside on the road, meaning we had to park in a car park. This was only a few minutes walk away but was only free between 00:00-9:00 unlike other reviews we previously had seen saying it was free from 4pm/6pm - 9:00am

Fantastic central location with wonderful views of the beach and Killacourt. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Excellent breakfast, well cooked and plenty of it, with lots of choices. Clean and comfortable room with large en suite. Thank you Natalie, we would definitely return.

Nice hotel, recently renovated. The room was large and clean with a very good shower. Breakfast was excellent. Hot English breakfast or waffle, plus good choice of toast, yogurt, milk and cereals.

The view was good. The breakfast was set to room numbers 1-9 ate earlier than the other rooms. which meant if you were in room 10 or above you could end up having breakfast as late as 9.15 till 10, half the morning has gone by then, you could not change it, so if you wanted an early start you would have to miss breakfast even though you have paid for it. It seemed that the breakfast was served more for the convenience of the hotel rather than the customer. Parking could be difficult even though the hotel does advertise it, you are not guaranteed to get anywhere we didn't find that out until the day before we travelled.

Such a lovely hotel! Great location right in the middle of the town so easy to walk to local beaches, shops and restaurants. The room was 5*, beautiful views, clean and all the amenties that are needed, even with a mini fridge! Breakfast was well organised and delicious with more options that I've seen at most places including waffles. Staff were excpetionally friendly and helpful. The ability to be able to leave our luggage there after checking out so we could potentially catch a later train was very useful, although we ended up not using it, the staff were more than happy to look after it. Would definitely stay here again!

The Minerva is a delightful B&B with a very personable staff and a great location. Their breakfast is very good and features pastries from local bakers. A large variety of resturants, pubs, and shopping are within easy walking distance as is one of the beaches. I heghly recommend this for a nice comfortable stay.

Located in a great partnof Newquay, I had a great stay, really comfortable bed and quiet room, just what was needed. Had to leave early before breakfast but they sorted out a bacon sandwich and coffee for me to take. Thank you, would highly recommend.
