No toilet paper holder, no toilet paper. No hot water in the sink. Missing door mirror. AC/heating unit: Indecipherable controls, tried to set the fan on low but it kept coming on with the sound of a jet engine. It woke us up when it came on. Standing water in a side entry. Homeless people sleeping in the smoking area. Nice TV, but it wouldn't stay connected; it was hard to get a show, and then the show would stop with the throbber spinning away in the middle of the screen. When entering for the first time, we were greeted by another guest, who warned us to check for cockroaches, as she stepped on one in her room. I felt sorry for the guy trying to run the place; every time I talked to him about a problem, he shook his head and looked like he wished he were somewhere else. We stayed in another miserable Motel 6 in Phoenix this spring. That one had no door on the bathroom, so we were unable to leave the light on but reduce the light. That TV was terrible and had no channel guide, but at least it didn't freeze up like the one in Madison.

Do not recommend. Did not feel safe at this location. Several people loitering in the parking lot. If I was alone, I would have left. Damage in the room, outlets and lights did not work.

This hotel by any means would be rated less than one star. I was astonished by the fact that Hotels.com would even have such a hotel as this one as a possible place to spend the night the room did not have a coffee pot, a refrigerator, a microwave a hairdryer, or the little extras such as shampoo, hair, conditioner, lotion, or wash rags the hotel advertised free Wi-Fi, but did not have Internet. It advertised the many cable channels it had but not the more popular ones. It advertised free coffee, but it did not matter what time you went into that little alcove there was never any coffee. There was a family staying right above us and you could hear every word and feel the rumble of every jump or the kids running around. You could also hear the TV on in the room next to you. The room also had bugs in the shower in the sink, crawling on the floor and a roach crawling around on the walls. The sink had a leak and all they did was wrap a towel around it.

Not a remote control for the tv.. two times some people tried to open the door, I don’t know why people tried to get in at rooms, if they were guests and only they were at wrong rooms or they were not guests and only tried to go into the rooms.. really I don’t know.. maybe need a little security and more cameras
