The staffs were very friendly anytime of the day. The only thing I’m not a fan of were renting out towels for 200 yen and making your own bed on your first day (I was at the top bunk). But no biggy. People were nice here. You’d see the staff really deep cleaning the bathrooms and showers too. You can also always go the cafe for drinks and they also have food. If you’re in a budget, Lawson and 7/11 are very close - maybe less than 5 minute walk. Easy walk to the station too.

We had a family room. Space was good, except toilet and bathroom were shared. No towels provided so bring your own or pay 200yen for one. Need to make your own m bed as the hostel will provide the sheets and mattresses. Mattress was thin and not the most comfortablw. Plus side, very new SHINJUKU!!

Imano is a cozy, well run hostel that is impeccably clean. The beds are comfortable. The women only floor is secured with a lovely common area and a fridge. Imano was the first hostel i ever visited 3 years ago and i will gladly visit again. With the money you save staying here you can head to the super sento (3 mins walk) and relax after the day walking Tokyo. Closest station exit is Shinjuku sanchome E1 which also has an elevator (close to golden gai).
