For starters there was no parking. There was construction on the parking lot. My father is wheelchair bound and we couldnt get him into the building using the wheelchair ramp becuase there was a truck parked in front of it the whole time. I had to pull him up over the curb. The staff was nice and everything looked clean at first. The towels had little curly hairs stuck to them. And worst of all i layed down to go to sleep and a bed bug was crawling on my pillow. I had a terrible time sleeping becuase i was so grossed out. I would not recommend staying here

Our stay was good. However for anyone with mobility difficulties, the parking and entrance to the hotel was difficult with a wheelchair. Also the only table that was handicap accessible was in the hallway by the front desk. A ramp into the breakfast area allowing access to the other guests would be much more welcoming.

This property was undergoing renovations when we stayed. The new facilities were sparkling clean, and the furnishings were modest. The bed was comfortable. One of the bulbs in the night table lamp was defective. The wall between the bathroom and the bedroom contained the plumbing for the sink and was clearly not insulated - lots of noise. All the plumbing is extra noisy. If you stay there, look carefully for the heavy curtain behind the sheer curtain. It is the same color as the wall and is invisible behind the heavy long drape. If you think it\'s missing you will sleep (maybe) the whole night with bright parking lot lights in your room. Staff at the desk did not warn us of construction at a lower entrance. When we complained the reply was "You can still get through." No way, I said and the reply was "You should have used the other back entrance." Typical half-wit motel employees.

Properties close to Duke University and at a substantially lower price than the hotel at Duke. Rooms are in very good shape. Lobby could use a bit of a refresh, but you’re only there during check-in. While I didn’t use the pool, my room was above the pool and that also looks to be an excellent shape and very large and clean. Definitely a good value

Parking is cramped. Lots of construction crews staying there with their trucks around the perimeter. Someone set off the fire alarm that forced evacuation of entire building one of the nights. Sheets looked wrinkled like they were used? Carpet had a trip hazard gap where they didn’t cut it correctly. Bathroom was updated and looked fresh. It was at least quiet when I was sleeping in my room. Overall experience I would not stay here again. Nothing terrible, but also not great.

Good location near Duke hospital. Old hotel and there was limited parking available due to the number of what appeared to be work trucks. Room was clean and comfortable. Bear minimum for breakfast but over all, clean, I felt safe and would stay here again.

When I booked this property, I looked at the reviews and the limited pictures. However, I was fooled. The property was not well maintained and it had stains on the hall and room carpet. The room and carpet smelled musty and damp and the AC ran continuously. The room furniture was worn and had chunks missing. I was stuck because of my pre-pay.

First impression with the front desk staff, greeting was terrible, no hi, no how are you. Very flat face. Noticed the bad odor as soon as we entered the hallways. Odor was worse once entering the room. About 30 mins of being in the room, I noticed a roach crawling from the bathroom. We immediately packed up, informed the front desk. We shook all of our things before entering our vehicle. I’m still waiting for a refund.

Sheets were sooo soft! Shower was beautiful and very clean. Only complaint is you couldn’t stream anything on the tv. No options to login into prime, Hulu, etc. so our movie night plans got cancelled. Only channels that the hotel provided.

I prepaid our room and when we arrived, we were told that we got the handicapped room on the first floor, next to the pool (where they keep spotlights on all night facing the building-specifically our room, and the freeway was right there too!) Needless to say, we didn’t sleep well at all. The breakfast was okay. Coffee was just average and came out of a NesCafe machine. Never want to stay there again.

We left after one night and fortunately I got a refund for a nonrefundable 2nd night. The walls are paper thin- we could hear the next door people talking as if they were in our room at midnight. We called 3x to the front desk to ask them to be quiet. Then, at 1230am, a van full of people pulled into the parking lot and were making a ton of noise that you could hear in our room. The van wasn't there the next morning so no idea who they were. This hotel is a 1star. I will never stay in a Comfort Suites again. My first time staying in one in TX was similar.

Check in was a breeze, front desk workers were friendly. However there was to much commotion going on in the parking lot. People was outside in their cars playing loud music, some standing by their cars talking loud until after midnight. I couldn't sleep. The refrigerator was making a loud annoying noise, and I had trouble getting the door to open after it was unlocked, I had to put my weight on it for it to open.

The building is definitely showing some wear and tear. The rooms, however, are quite spacious, the beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water. The hotel's close proximity to Duke Hospital was a definite plus for us. Additionally, the hotel's close proximity to I-85 and other Durham freeways made it easy to quickly be at any of many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping malls.

Chek-in was easy. Rooms were pretty large. Had walk'in showers. Convenient location for why I was there. However, our heater went out the second day & we had to switch rooms, which was a hastle.

We needed to book a block of rooms for a funeral. Bri at front desk was attentive, assisted us and even arranged an early check in after a long travel day. Hotel was extremely clean.

We checked in very late and James the front my desk attendant was super kind and helpful. He walked us out to car to make sure we were safe getting our luggage and also help guide us for parking. We weren’t sure what to expect since we booked it while traveling and an hour before arrival and we were extremely pleased.

I arrived at this location around 11am after a long 12 hour stuck in traffic trip. Only to be told that I could not check in early so I could get some sleep. The desk clerk was very rude and non responsive to our needs. We had to go sleep in the car until we were granted entry to the rooms we had reserved. When we returned to the office the clerk was still so uncaring that even then questioned our decision to stay. We did stay and the other staff that assisted us the next two days were wonderful.

We were in the area for a medical appt. The hotel was very clean. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious and comfy. The bathroom was modern, clean, and well lit. Breakfast was provided with choices of cereals, toasts, and bagels. There were omelets and bacon. A nice selection of fresh fruit, and flavored yogurts. And you could indulge in yummy Belgium waffles if you were really hungry. Great variety. The Hotel is also central to many great restaurant choices!

Our hotel room was clean and quiet, the staff was courteous and helpful, the location was great. However we had to go to McD's for breakfast because their coffee machine puts out extremely weak coffee and the food was not enticing. This was inconvenient because then we could not spend a leisurely morning in our room. Ditch the coffee machine and have staff make real coffee, please!
