It's a services hotel but perfect for my needs. Staff were great and found me an ironing board when there was one missing from my room. Plenty of dining options in the services and a small bar at the hotel reception. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, hot shower, Nando's and free parking; ideal.

Restaurant was closed except for breakfast, was told only open Monday to Thursday. Found out from a member of staff its closed because of no staff. Yes there was a food hall within the services, which was always busy and not what i wanted. Cleaning of room only on request, which i was not told on arrival. No intercom in rooms, not known that before and im a retired Hotelier (GM/Operation Manager). The room was clean and comfortable, but service delivery needs to be improved. Overall my mini weekend break was not the best, but only myself to blame. My suggestion to management is rethink the restaurant as its a busy services, certainly should be good revenue. But expect you know that and cant be bothered, story of English Hospitality.

For the money paid, it was clean, comfortable. I will say the maintenance is suffering. Most likely due to the price point. Things like ripped carpet, and the TV wasn't on the TV bracket rather just balanced on the ledge. The shower was good (normally a major bug bare of mine!) with the body wash being very nice. There's a very small bar in reception which is nice and of course you can just pop nextdoor to the services for food etc...

Ok for the money, family room had a double (mattress really soft) a single and then a pull out trundle bed underneath very low to the floor and thin mattress. The room was ok and clean. TV on standard 5channels. Bar is tiny, one table smells not very nice and not a great experience. Good options are good in the services. Pizza Express, Nando’s, Leon etc. hotel seemed to offer food but no idea where they serve it. If your on a budget and passing through it’s ok, anymore than a stop over and I would definitely avoid.

Family room small but clean. Checked in and got told breakfast not paid for, when producing the online invoice they said ok. Went for a meal in the restaurant in the evening. Service was appauling. 1 person cooking and 1 serving. It took 2 hours to get our meals and each person pretty much ate their meal before they brought out the next one. Clearly cooking one meal at a time. The food was average (when it arrived). Didnt tell us it would take longer due to staffing issues and only apologised at the end. I've never had service this bad.

Good location, easy check in. Plenty of food options next door at services. Carpet in communal areas was really dirty with stains and embedded dirt. Not a good impression. Room size was standard, bed linen reasonably clean but curtains hanging off rail. Bed was OK but you rolled in to middle. Bathroom had been recently upgraded but extractor fan was covered in muck, shower track dirty, grout dirty. Lack of cleaning in some areas. I was glad only staying one night.

The room wasn’t very clean, old toothpaste and beard trimmings around the sink, dirty splash marks on the bathroom tiles, cobwebs and dusty dirty carpet. Bit disappointing as the pictures and other reviews looked good

Filthy bedrooms: Hair on bedding and shower plus coins on the floor of the room and dirty bedding we were given. Second room had a filthy bathroom. Third room had a clean bathroom (hooray) but dust all over bed headboard and light switches, broken security chain on door. Sadly, not good (even for the relatively low price). A huge deterioration in standards over the last 5 years.

Room was fine, staff were fine but there had been a powercut and it had knocked out the tv aerials so no tv signal and wifi was also down, so no tv and no Internet. Breakfast was a good selection however all coulr have been warmer. If i didnt have an appointment the next day that i needed to attend I wouldnt have stayed with no wifi or tv.

I liked the room in every aspect... except one thing the shower was way too small, i struggled to even lift my elbows to wash due to space, plus i felt the bathroom floor got very wet and slippery. Beyond that everything else was very nice

The room i stayed in was tired. Stains in the shower, bedding (Although clean just stained) and light fixtures at eye level when in bed were pretty dirty. I was a little disappointed that the TV was pretty basic. Would have liked a smart TV to watch on demand but not the end of the world. For the price it was very good value and the staff were great on reception

Polyester sheets. Very small shower. If you're a big person, you will struggle to get in and out. Turning around will not be an option. Great location next to the 24 hour shops, so you can always nip out. Decent size room. Carpets in the main areas are filthy. Decent breakfast on sight.

Tried to call numberous times ahead of stay for online check-in - no response. On arrival, we were advised due to a power cut that there was no TVs working, but this would be resolved within 3 hours. It never got resolved. The rooms have no Wi-Fi if you are at the end of the coridoor, despite a new booster being placed that week. There is no phone signal so you really feel stranded. Finally, there are no phones in the room and when you ring the hotel number, they never pick up and so you have to keep going back and forth to reception. Overall a very disappointing stay.

Budget hotel agt not budget price. Comfortable enough for our purposes on this occasion. Dog friendly with nice area around duck pond to walk. It doesnt state on hotels.com that you pay extra £20 for dogs on arrival. Room compact but Comfortable. Bathroom small and shower very small. A large guy will struggle to squeeze in the shower door and thats before you try and wash yourself in there lol.

I arrived around 11pm and there was only 1 reception staff member working, but he had 3 of us to check in and someone waiting at the bar, so it took around 30 minutes to get checked in. He did do the best he could, so I don't blame him for that - he was personable & kind too. When I arrived at my room, I found it stank of dog, it was unclean and there were dog hairs around the edges of the room as if the hoover stopped a couple of inches away from the wall and it was never hoovered properly. There were also clumps of dog hair around the general floor too, so I ended up having to store all my belongings in the bathroom with the door closed, so they wouldn't smell of dog at work the next day, then shower & wash my hair minutes before leaving in the morning. I also found someone had wrapped underwear around the smoke alarm, so I assume they were either smoking or using other burning substances within the room before me, probably masked by dog smell anyway. As it was around 11.45pm by this time, I didn't bother to raise this with reception - partly as it was late, if there were others it may have taken another half an hour to complain, but also I'd been up since 5am and needed to leave around 7.45am, so I opened the window and tried to bear it. I had a poor night's sleep & I'd had enough of the smell by 5.30am, so I ended up getting ready and leaving around 6.30-6.45am, just to get out of there, and made do with driving tired. I wouldnt wish to return on this basis.

This was the worse stay I have had. I was given the wrong room and then had 2 lots of other guests enter the room as the system still thought the room was vacant. As a woman on her own it was very frightening and I am waiting for a refund from the hotel.

Carol made me waste a lot of time and money in roaming charges by calling Expedia to request my second-day cancellation after I got stranded in London due to the airport fire and had found a flight home earlier when the whole time the hotel was going to decline it for us. Expedia called her for approval, and I couldn’t believe what they were saying after she had clearly told since I booked through a 3rd party, I walked to the lobby. It was her option the whole time, and then she was incredibly rude to us after the incredibly messed up situation I was in with 5 children and 4 adults. She could have just said no from the beginning but chose to create more problems for us, instead of being honest.

We were given misleading information when we asked for directions, which led to confusion and inconvenience. When I contacted the admin team to raise my concerns about this experience, I was disappointed by their dismissive response. Does what it says on the tin - it's a Services hotel so it's close to restaurants and an M&S so your daily (e.g.water) and feeding needs are all met. Good sleep quality with decent rooms, decent beds and free parking. Can't fault it for what it offers and the price for a night. We booked it because it's close to Chessington World of Adventures and would recommend it to anyone looking for an overnight stay within 10 miles of the theme park.

Such a great budget hotel. - Easy and free parking - At the services so lots of choice of food - Such lovely staff - Comfy beds - Had kettle with tea and coffee - Had an iron - Only a 30 min drive from Heathrow - Great value for money Would definitely return again when headed to the airport.

It was not a very bad hotel but it happened to have some car event outside the hotel at the carpark and so we were not able to get a parking space. And I heard that these events happened all the time so just in case if you are bumping into one of there it’s gonna be a big trouble ( terrible traffic and no parking space till 10pm)

Convenient overnight stop when travelling. Comfortable bed and pleasant staff however hotel overall could do with some updating....carpets stained etc. Great choice of restaurants/eateries at the adjoining services.

When we arrived it looked like a great choice, green spaces, a woodland walk to exercise the dogs, a huge lake with Koi Carp and we had a meal at the Pizza Express next door. However, by 7 pm it all changed, the noise of souped-up cars having a ‘Meet’ in the parking areas revving and racing, sounding their horns, watched by a cheering audience. The cars doing circuits of the car park, intimidating legitimate visitors. We retreated to the room, managed to settle the dogs, and tried to get to sleep, for an early start next day. At 12.30 the fire alarm went off, and we left the room with the dogs, and assembled at the front of the hotel with the other residents. The whole place was still as busy as at 7pm, and very scary, wondering what to do next. Eventually people passed along that we could go back in, no obvious staff member, no one checking the guest list, literally a nightmare, as we couldn’t get to sleep at all. And to add to the aggravation I had to pay £40 for our two dogs, as they said I hadn’t done it on the original booking, which I will have to check.

The hotel is a service station off the motorway but it's a long way from the motorway so it's very quiet it was very clean there were plenty of eating places there it had a canal at the back you want to go for a walk it was good value for money and very accessible to the M25 would go again staff were lovely and very helpful

This is a hotel in a motorway services that we stopped at for 1 night prior to a flight out of Gatwick - for this purpose it was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and relatively quiet, and a 30 minute drive from the airport. A number of food choices including a pizza express restaurant. Parking can be busy, but is best near the coaches at the far left of the hotel and you give reception your reg number. All in all a good stay.

Good position for restaurants etc, good parking. The room was spacious, however had obviously not been vacuumed, with sweets all over the floor, the bathroom floor had hairs & dead flies all around the edge. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of food & drink, however again the restaurant area was dirty with the tables not being cleared when people left them & the staff just sitting doing nothing.

4 star service at reception but poor service at breakfast ..nobody around..even went into the kitchen to find a staff member and waited 10 minutes to sit down.. so fed up we didn't bother to eat it on the end..hot breakfast looked cold.. need electric points moved as no room to plug sm extension lead on and no usb points .. receptionist apologised..shame as the rest of the stay was good and nice enough room for the price

Room was fine, staff were fine but there had been a powercut and it had knocked out the tv aerials so no tv signal and wifi was also down, so no tv and no Internet. Breakfast was a good selection however all coulr have been warmer. If i didnt have an appointment the next day that i needed to attend I wouldnt have stayed with no wifi or tv.

The room was ok for what we needed, beds weren't overly comfortable. Breakfast wasn't that great everything seemed to be cold even though kept on hot plates, would suggest grabbing breakfast in the services rather than hotel. It was fairly clean a few areas missed but as we was only there for the night not a major issue. Shower screen not good water just leaked out underneath and out onto the floor

My stay here was fine. They don’t do room service. It was far from central London. I liked the food options as it was simply a rest area. Definitely will not stay here again simply because of the location, but this place was pretty good for the price I paid for. It’s great for a quick night stay as it was close to the airport.

Restaurant was closed except for breakfast, was told only open Monday to Thursday. Found out from a member of staff its closed because of no staff. Yes there was a food hall within the services, which was always busy and not what i wanted. Cleaning of room only on request, which i was not told on arrival. No intercom in rooms, not known that before and im a retired Hotelier (GM/Operation Manager). The room was clean and comfortable, but service delivery needs to be improved. Overall my mini weekend break was not the best, but only myself to blame. My suggestion to management is rethink the restaurant as its a busy services, certainly should be good revenue. But expect you know that and cant be bothered, story of English Hospitality.

Family room small but clean. Checked in and got told breakfast not paid for, when producing the online invoice they said ok. Went for a meal in the restaurant in the evening. Service was appauling. 1 person cooking and 1 serving. It took 2 hours to get our meals and each person pretty much ate their meal before they brought out the next one. Clearly cooking one meal at a time. The food was average (when it arrived). Didnt tell us it would take longer due to staffing issues and only apologised at the end. I've never had service this bad.
