Very clean and very quiet location - our room near elevator but would not know that. Breakfast was make your waffles, muffins and coffee. Similar have had eggs, meats or omelets. I found it off that the rear outer doors did not have a lock that would require use of room key card. The doors just opened like it was mid afternoon.

Everything was very nice. I liked that you catered to dogs. Having the doggy bag stations strategically placed was big. No reason for anyone to not pick up after their dogs. The grounds were very well taken care of.

Staff was nice, check in/out was easy. Hotel was very clean, although outdated. I was quite concerned that the back doors were not locked at any point during the day or night. This is very unsafe. They need to install a cord reader at these doors to ensure the safety of the guests. I’ve never been to a hotel the last 30 years that left doors unlocked like this. Hopefully it won’t take a crime for the this safety step to be taken. I will likely avoid this hotel in the future because of this lack of safety/security.

The room looked clean. Remote was so gross I put a bag over it to use it. The smell was horrible like wet moldy rug. Everything else looked was ordered and clean. No complimentary water you had to pay $1. Breakfast was good. No coffee machine in room or microwave. At night it felt like there was a party at my window. I couldn't see anyone put side so the walls must be thin because it was loud si 11pm. Didn't interact with staff. The guy that gave me the keys was professional. The lady that took over started at me instead of asking me whatever.

From the moment I entered the lobby, I immediately knew what I signed up for. Though I booked a non smoking room, the room and hallways had a strong cigarette smell. I couldn’t stay more than an hour. I left and went to sleep at a friend’s house instead. The hotel really need some serious upgrades and remodeling.

I was terribly disappointed. When I arrived, the individual at the desk was most helpful and supplied me with great information. Things were looking up. When I entered my room, it all went south. The room smelled. I could not open a window, so I used their ac unit. It did nothing to remove the smell. The carpet was dirty and worn. The beds were fine. The bathroom extremely small. I thought the unit would have to run for a bit to recycle the combination on stale air and disgusting smell. I hoped that the following morning things would be better especially after the took care of the room. Surprise! No one did anything to the room. There was no tag on the door because I wanted them to come in, but no one came. I even tried spraying air sanitizer and lysol. Nothing changed. Whatever was there was not leaving. I will say that breakfast and the supply of coffee and tea throughout the day was very nice. The lobby and breakfast area were very well kept. I will not recommend this site and will not stay at it the next time I am at Penn State.

We stayed in room 212 it was disgustingly dirty in the fact that the heating and cooling system was covered in mold and lint and dust. The lint/dust was stuck in every crevice of the HVHC system!! The smell was disgusting. The bath tub was covered in soap scum and the bottom of the tub was dirty. We choose to not shower that’s how bad it was and the smell coming from the drains! The carpet oh boy it was covered in cigarette burns and probably hadn’t been replaced in many many years. The only good thing was the sheets were visibly clean and smelt clean. Would not recommend this hotel!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Dead insects on carpet. Large flying insect in room. Large insect crawling on my pillow when I woke up. Musty smelling room. Overall dirty, rundown property. I appreciate the assistant manager refunding the charge for my one night stay.

I loved the suite and maintenance responded promptly to fix my clogged shower drain. The only complaint I have is regarding the air conditioner units. I was unhappy to learn that the fan cannot run consistently due to the motion sensor. It was quite frustrating needing to wave my arms around in the middle of the night to activate the fan on the AC unit. On a positive note the front desk staff was extremely friendly and kind.

The 70’s want their decor back! If this were a budget friendly hotel, I’d be more understanding. But the thin worn out bedspreads and 70’s Orange colors, 25 watt light bulbs in the room, watered down coffee and day old danish for breakfast, hardly justified the $130 cost. Also and my strongest criticism is that the place including the room had residual cigarette smell.

The info I read prior to checking in said that there was a coffee maker in the room. There isn't. That was a huge disappointment for me. We've spent the last week on a road trip and there has been a coffee maker in every other room we've stayed in. COVID is over. Anyway, other than that, our stay has been nice.

The girl who checked us in was very nice. The room is fine, but dated, as previous reviews stated. It kind of has that 70s/80s feel. It seems clean though and it serves its purpose of giving us a clean place to lay our heads tonight. The air conditioning unit is quite loud and you can hear people talk as they walk through the hall.

Hi, I already completed a review on this but since I received this email, I'll complete again. We came down to breakfast at 9:25 am. There was no waffle mix left. The woman working the breakfast area informed me that she cannot make anymore b/c if I do, it will be past 9:30 am. This doesn't make any sense to me. Breakfast is until 9:30 am. There was also another person next to me who wanted waffles too. This is very poor customer service. I'll definitely think twice about staying here again.

When I first checked in they gave me a room key, emtered the room and it wasn't clean. The beds weren't made and the bathroom was used. When i went back down the front desk associate gave me a different key to another room. Upon entering the room i found two twin beds instead of the king I booked. I had to return to the front desk a second time. Turns out they changed my reservation wjthout notigifying me. Overall bad experience

Super 8 State College charged my credit card double the hotels.com agreed price. I'm disputing with my credit card company to try to get a refund. I was checked into "someone else's reservation," in a pet room (which I didn't need and it smelled of pet), and overcharged based on all sorts of ammenenties I didn't ask for nor use. Someone else's name and address is on the invoice they eventually provided me.

Everything worked out well. The room itself was perfect. There was a bit of a musty smell in the hall but not the room so all was great. Very convenient to shops around and close enough to Penn State campus and downtown that I’d recommend this as an option.

Super Eight? This one should be Super Nine or maybe even 10. Spacious well furnished room. Spacious lobby and hallways. Nice simple breakfast. No eggs or sausage, but five choices of cereal, good selection of breads, yogurt, oranges, and apples, and two waffle irons in large pleasant room. Upholstered chair in room is slightly worn.

Hotel was fair. Stayed for PSU game. Rug was very stained and dirty throughout the room. Beds claim to be double but really only an oversized twin. Girl who was working breakfast was rude saying that breakfast was closing at 930 when people arrived at 925. For almost 900 dollars per night I would expect more.
