The resort is a short drive to town. The food options were the best I have experienced with an all inclusive hotel. We did not receive our VIP resort credit. Sky pool was not our favorite pool but the other pools had great service. The hotel was accommodating.

Sunset Beach's setting is beautiful and removed from the hustle of the main town. Because the building blocks were set up on a hill, each room has an amazing view of the ocean. You can easily call a golf cart to get around the hilly resort but walking up and down the stairs or cobbled paths also allowed you to have the extra food or a drink by the pool. The free shuttle buses allowed an easy travel into town to the other sister resorts, but you need to book the time early on the app, otherwise you might have to wait, so it does require some planning. Our room was spacious and clean but the bathroom was showing its age but functional. Food was good with lots of different options, worth the price of all inclusive. You can't swim on the beautiful sandy beach but the pools did make up for it, with friendly attentive staff looking after you. If we go back to Cabo, we will definitely return to this resort.

Huge property! If you are looking for beach front access where you can swim and enjoy the ocean this is not the place. However, the hotel offers hourly shuttles at a first come first serve basis via their app. You have to be quick on the app as the premium time slots to their sister property Pueblo Bonito Rose fill up fast. At Pueblo Bonito Rose you have beach access and full utilization of all inclusive amenities. Pueblo Bonito Sunset is a huge property with a lot of hills. Golf carts shuttle you around the property my to different areas of the resort. Unless you are in great shape

The hotel was very nice, with delicious food and friendly staff. However, I was disappointed to find that although the hotel is located on the beach, swimming is prohibited due to current regulations. Furthermore, a golf cart is required to travel anywhere, which I found somewhat unusual. If not for these issues, I would have given the hotel a 5-star rating.

The view was out of this world (literally)! Suites are HUGE. Some concerns about the wear and tear of some aspects of our room/bathroom fixtures but overall amazing property set on the side of a mountain so be ready to walk a bit. Shuttle to other sister properties was amazing! Such a great perk!

Stayed at top floor, great view. Great beachside, accessible but can not swim, waves, dangerous. Multiple restaurants to choose from. Friendly staff. On hillside, really can not walk around, especially when hot. Move mainly with cart ride, sometimes ride wait can be long,10-20 minutes when busy.

Great place! The place is showing its age! The rooms could have been much cleaner! under the bed was filthy and I feel like the pillows and linens were for a 1 star resort. It is difficult to review because some things were 5 star and some things were a 1 star.

The room we were first given had a very strong smell. They moved us to another room. Needs updated! Couch broken, hot tub has broken parts. Hot tub very hard to get in and out of. Cockroaches in the room. Golf cart was each to get one, a couple of the drivers telling me to vominous. Would not go back

Beautiful location, great friendly staff, super clean and well maintained rooms and buildings. Only thing that would make it better is if I could have swam at the beach in front. Super easy to get transportation to sister resorts as well as get cabs into town. Great resort, would definitely go back again.

The hotel was dirty and littered with dead moths all over the ground, in the lighting as well. We had no hot water for the entire time we were there. The food was hit or miss. The staff was good and kind though.

We stayed here for 4 days in mid-September with 7 adults and a baby (3 rooms). I convinced my family to book at this resort because my husband and I had an amazing stay at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica in 2022. Unfortunately, this place was nowhere near the same experience. The resort feels old and in need of a lot of maintenance. Two of our rooms had no water for about 6 hours one day, with zero notice. One of the rooms had very obvious warer damage on the ceiling. Our room had a constant loud noise in the bathroom pipes (literally sounded like a snoring dog). We walked in to find a dead cockroach in the bathroom. On day 2, the hallway outside our room reeked like rotting trash, they fixed it after a few hours, but it was disgusting. The elevator buttons on our floor didn’t work on the last 2 days of our stay, so we had to hike up and down a floor to call it. There is no mini bar in the rooms, and when you call room service they’ll only bring 2 alcoholic drinks per person at a time (super annoying when you’re a group). The worst part: while my nephew was playing in the kids pool, we found a big piece of broken glass in the water. After I talked to one of the night supervisors about our experience, as a courtesy she offered to credit the extra charges on all 3 rooms (~$70 each). At time of checkout, the day supervisor refused to honor that and only credited 2 of the rooms, so all we got was about $150 back for everything we dealt with.

The property put us in the wrong room upon arrival and then made us pay an extra $1000 for the room we were suppose to have. The air conditioner in the room we paid an extra $1000 for did not work at all. We suffered for three hot nights and no sleep before they moved us to another room. Took 1/2 of our day to pack, move and unpack. The first three days we were miserable being hot and no sleep. This was an expensive stay for nothing but inconvenience

Our family of four had a wonderful 6 night stay at PB Sunset. The food options were excellent. We went to every dining option and had a great meal at each location. The views around the resort are excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The golf cart transportation getting from place to place was good. We used it about half the time while we walked the other half. WiFi was surprisingly great throughout the resort. Only area I’d recommend an improvement would be the beds weren’t bad but certainly not as comfortable as you’d like. Also, the AC in our room didn’t cool as much as we’d like. However, we’d definitely return to this resort and had a fantastic family vacation.

Beautiful property with stunning views. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. Food was great especially for an all inclusive. That said, I would have rated the resort a 5 but on our last night of our stay we ate at La Frida and I was charged for a $30 drink that I did NOT order nor was I served it. At checkout I explained the situation to the clerk and she went to get a Supervisor who told me it was my fault for scanning my card without looking at the final bill. I explained I had no reason to examine the bill because I knew I had not ordered any alcohol or food involving extra charges. It turns out someone else in my party at the same table also had been overcharged for alcoholic drinks. The crazy part is while explaining the situation in the lobby to members of my party before leaving for the airport, another couple of guests unrelated to our party had experienced the exact same situation of being charged for drinks they didn't order. Honestly, this to me seems like a very dishonest and scandalous practice at this restaurant with intentions of sucking as much money from guests as possible, which is really unfortunate and disappointing. Sharing this experience in hopes of warning other future guests to be hypervigilent around waiting staff in general but especially at La Frida restaurant.

This was our second visit here. I was expecting to have a similar experience but I have to say I was disappointed this time. First, we were there for 5 days and never had hot water! Cold if not like warm showers were awful. Apparently, multiple buildings did not have hot water and this has been going on for some time…. The first night we came back from dinner and water was pouring in from the ceiling at nearly 10 pm from the air conditioner. You could tell by the horrible looks of the ceiling that this was not the first time. They did fix it but did not clean up or offer any apologies. I was more disappointed by the food this time. Tazuna was good but not outstanding like last time. The Zao Shen service was awful this time. The server could seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The La Frida service was all about the upsale. Food was good but I explicitly expressed my despise of onions (tough one in Mex) and everything but one dish still came out with onions. Quivera was great for breakfast but it took FOREVER to get our food. I felt like it was a ploy to get us to succumb to the sales pitch. Kids still enjoyed the trip and did not have any complaints with the ice cream at the Market. Age 10 and 12.

The first night we came back from dinner and water was pouring in from the ceiling at nearly 10 pm from the air conditioner. You could tell by the horrible looks of the ceiling that this was not the first time. They did fix it but did not clean up or offer any apologies. I was more disappointed by the food this time. Tazuna was good but not outstanding like last time. The Zao Shen service was awful this time. The server could seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The La Frida service was all about the upsale. Food was good but I explicitly expressed my despise of onions (tough one in Mex) and everything but one dish still came out with onions. Quivera was great for breakfast but it took FOREVER to get our food. I felt like it was a ploy to get us to succumb to the sales pitch. Kids still enjoyed the trip and did not have any complaints with the ice cream at the Market. Age 10 and 12.

The view was out of this world (literally)! Suites are HUGE. Some concerns about the wear and tear of some aspects of our room/bathroom fixtures but overall amazing property set on the side of a mountain so be ready to walk a bit. Shuttle to other sister properties was amazing! Such a great perk!

This was a beautiful property and different viewpoints including the sky pool were stunning, however the rooms were rather run down and outdated spaces. We had five super executive rooms w jacuzzi within our group, all of which could only get so clean and were kind of an eyesore compared to the rest of the grounds, even though they were considered one of the nicer, larger rooms. The halls for the rooms were also somewhat dingy with open storage room doors and random items left out for example an old mattress. The staff were kind and hard working and there were many options for food. While service was often slow due to how busy it was, this allowed our group to take more time enjoying each other's company. As far as the flavors, there were a few items that were highlights for food but otherwise it was all below average. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the trip with our friends and family, and made some memories.

Limited dining/food options unless you make reservations or pay for up charges on the menu items. We were berated by the ladies in pink shirts for “presentations”. We told them multiple times we did not want to attend the breakfast but they said if we came, we could go on a sunset cruise for free. We agreed but then was told each couple had to pay $20 to “reserve your spot on the cruise” and you would get the money back if you did not go. They made our friends pay an extra $20 because they were under 30 years old. The ladies then argued with us about getting our money back because we didn’t go to breakfast. Our room is AWFUL. On arrival to the resort we were told our room would be ready at 3pm. We went to eat and returned at 415pm to get in our room and they were still cleaning it. It smelled awful - like dirty mop water. We asked for them to come back and mop again the next day because the smell still had not faded. The shower handle broke off on day two - they came to “fix” it the next morning and it was still broken. The handle would spin all the way around without turning off. After they came to repair the shower they left the floor and shower an absolute disaster. Chipped plastic all over the floor and black foot prints everywhere. We killed SEVEN huge spiders in our 4 night stay; three in one day. The good parts: sky pool service and food was great! We loved Omar and Jorge!

Just returned from Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Cabo. The views are absolutely stunning, and the staff are the true highlight—housekeeping, most golf cart drivers, and even those cleaning elevators and restrooms were warm, hardworking, and kind. Check-out was smooth, and both our Expedia and vacation club credits were honored. We received a $400 credit for attending their vacation club presentation—advertised as 90 minutes but ran about 2.5 hours (we had lots of questions). Note: the credit can’t be used for tips or art gallery purchases. The vacation club tour showed properties reserved for owners, which were beautifully maintained—far superior to the rooms offered through Expedia and other public channels. Clearly, owners are well cared for. Unfortunately, that level of upkeep isn’t reflected in the public accommodations. Hallways are dim, musty, and in serious disrepair. Rooms offer great views but feel outdated. Check-in was chaotic, with long waits and an overwhelmed golf cart system—especially on Sundays. The all inclusive food seemed like it was old food. Rice was hard and stale. Service took FOREVER for room service. We ordered room service 5 times, and they only ever came 1 time. We were still charged for the Service fee for Room service even though when we called back and they said they dont have any order for our room. It sucked to pay so much money and get very sub par food, the only decent foods was at the actual restaraunts, the market food was pretty bad and our entire group disliked their food. Drinks seemed very watered down as well - had to consistently ask for doubles to even taste a hint of alcohol in our drinks. Our room was great though, great view, clean and comfortable!

We love coming here a lot. Some of the staff remembers us and our kids names every time we come. Everyone that works here is always friendly. Gracia greets us every time we come and makes sure our stay is great! Fernando at the main pool always greets us with a smile and helps us find chairs if needed which is great customer service. Christian in activities remembers my kids names every single time we come (3-4 times a year) and it makes them feel extra special. Alan at the main pool is always so funny and friendly as well and has excellent service. Jesus at the market, cant say enough about him, he is always so helpful and also has great customer service. This is why we love coming here because of people as theses that go above and beyond to greet us and make sure our stay is pleasurable.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is beautiful! I did a lot of research prior to booking and looked at many properties. I was leaning towards booking PB Rosè since the beach is swimmable. Upon further research, I decided to stay at Sunset Beach due to more fining options and more pools and resort amenities. I am so glad that i made the right choice. The property is stunning with many levels since it is situated on a hill. We stayed at a 1 bedroom suite and it has beautiful ocean view! Food was delicious with so many varieties especially at the Market. Staff were friendly. We took the free shuttle to Rosè to swim at the beach. Rosè is crowded and small. Location is not desirable as well. I will be back to Sunset Beach next year and will stay at the 3 bedroom Monte Cristo. Highly recommend Sunset Beach! You will not regret it especially if you’re traveling with a family.

It’s enormous but golf carts are at the ready to move you around the property anytime and although you can’t swim in the ocean at this particular hotel, free daily shuttles are available to transport to and from its nearby sister hotels where the ocean is safe and accessible. It was an accidental reservation and ended up being the best “oopsie” I’ve ever made. Traveled alone with my three children and felt safe at all times.

The rooms need to be updated as for style and minor upkeeps. I also noticed stains on towels and bedding that were present upon arrival. Some other things that would enhance the experience here is to have some resort events for customer engagement. The property profile needs to be updated to reflect that the ocean cannot be swam in on this property due to the stronger waves, the offsetting benefit to this is, shuttling to the sister property where you can access the ocean for a decent swim.

Sunset Beach's setting is beautiful and removed from the hustle of the main town. Because the building blocks were set up on a hill, each room has an amazing view of the ocean. You can easily call a golf cart to get around the hilly resort but walking up and down the stairs or cobbled paths also allowed you to have the extra food or a drink by the pool. The free shuttle buses allowed an easy travel into town to the other sister resorts, but you need to book the time early on the app, otherwise you might have to wait, so it does require some planning. Our room was spacious and clean but the bathroom was showing its age but functional. Food was good with lots of different options, worth the price of all inclusive. You can't swim on the beautiful sandy beach but the pools did make up for it, with friendly attentive staff looking after you. If we go back to Cabo, we will definitely return to this resort.

The hotel was very nice, with delicious food and friendly staff. However, I was disappointed to find that although the hotel is located on the beach, swimming is prohibited due to current regulations. Furthermore, a golf cart is required to travel anywhere, which I found somewhat unusual. If not for these issues, I would have given the hotel a 5-star rating.

Our room and the view were very nice. The beach cabana was great too. The all inclusive includes most things but there were lots of hidden "up charges" that add on...just include it all or dont The sushi restaurant was amazing and so was the market food court. The Japanese restaurant was terrible. The pool food and bar was fun but can get busy at times. Room service was the worst, took 2 hours to get anything.

We had a blast. Loved the staff. Beautiful hotel. We had one poor experience at the restaurant La Frida. They charged us 60 dollars for 2 drinks. We only ordered one drink and it was awful. We couldn’t drink it. The food was not good and you have to pay an upcharge to eat there. We loved all the other restaurants. Quivera steakhouse is amazing!!
We had a blast. Loved the staff. Beautiful hotel. We had one poor experience at the restaurant La Frida. They charged us 60 dollars for 2 drinks. We only ordered one drink and it was awful. We couldn’t drink it. The food was not good and you have to pay an upcharge to eat there. We loved all the other restaurants. Quivera steakhouse is amazing!!

Beautiful property with stunning views. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. Food was great especially for an all inclusive. That said, I would have rated the resort a 5 but on our last night of our stay we ate at La Frida and I was charged for a $30 drink that I did NOT order nor was I served it. At checkout I explained the situation to the clerk and she went to get a Supervisor who told me it was my fault for scanning my card without looking at the final bill. I explained I had no reason to examine the bill because I knew I had not ordered any alcohol or food involving extra charges. It turns out someone else in my party at the same table also had been overcharged for alcoholic drinks. The crazy part is while explaining the situation in the lobby to members of my party before leaving for the airport, another couple of guests unrelated to our party had experienced the exact same situation of being charged for drinks they didn't order. Honestly, this to me seems like a very dishonest and scandalous practice at this restaurant with intentions of sucking as much money from guests as possible, which is really unfortunate and disappointing. Sharing this experience in hopes of warning other future guests to be hypervigilent around waiting staff in general but especially at La Frida restaurant.

The all inclusive food seemed like it was old food. Rice was hard and stale. Service took FOREVER for room service. We ordered room service 5 times, and they only ever came 1 time. We were still charged for the Service fee for Room service even though when we called back and they said they dont have any order for our room. Drinks seemed very watered down as well - had to consistently ask for doubles to even taste a hint of alcohol in our drinks. Our room was great though, great view, clean and comfortable!

My overall rating is 8.2/10 My wife and I really enjoyed this resort. We went to most of the restaurants open. The Market is the hub, the icecream there is incredible! The bistro is a great 24/7 restaurant and the breakfast is buffet style with omelettes and waffles stations. The best breakfast has to be at Quivira Clubhouse❤️❤️. For dinner our tops were LaFrida (there’s a surcharge per person) and Fellinis(there’s also a surcharge per person) We had issues with the AC in our suite which got sort of resolved; also we had issues with our plumbing, the water would stop intermittently, this didn’t get resolved. The staff are such a pleasure, everyone is so kind, polite. Also Hector the concierge staff is beyond incredible, I hope he sees this! Planning our trip back to Sunset beach soon

Me and my family went for my birthday. When we checked into the resort, it was acknowledged, and the lady gave us a huge upgrade. The resort was beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely return for another trip.

Booked a king room with Hotels.com, when we arrived they said we had a two queen room and that’s the standard. After much back and forth I finally got my King room we booked. We were in building 19/20, seemed like an older building that could use some maintenance. Our room was huge and clean but the air conditioning didn’t seem to cool very well. Had to call twice for them to come check it out. The food was good and tons of choices, the market was our favorite. Staff was amazing and helpful. We enjoyed the golf cart rides all over the resort, they came quickly when you called for pickup. Only complaint is that they don’t let Uber onto the property. You have to use their shuttle services or a taxi. It’s $130 to the airport via their shuttle.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable - accommodated 5 of us comfortably. Loved that there were 2 full bathrooms! The view from the balcony was amazing. Any time we called for more linens/towels, staff quickly responded. The golf-cart transportation system worked amazingly well - had to wait only a short period of time before one showed up. The restaurants were all great - great food. The pool-side service for food and drinks was top notch. Transportation to sister resorts was easy to navigate. This is our 3rd time staying at this resort. We love it!
