We stay here regularly and the rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. Didn't use the gym and pool this time. Breakfast is good, lots of choice. The sports bar and food is very popular.

Everything thing was very nice. However the listing inferred free access to a pool but in fact there is a £5 24 hour charge for it. Would have been good to be told that in advance and then also book access. The breakfast and the staff were very nice. The room was very clean and well decorated. However, as it was on the second floor directly above the gym meant that bar bells and weights were being thrown to the ground very early in the morning and you can hear that in the room. Mentioned this to staff, they didn’t seem to care too much about the issue.

Automated reception with a casually dressed receptionist to assist if necessary. Room was ready on arrival at checkin 3pm. Having stayed at village hotels some years ago and with a 4* rating I was confident to book. However the room was a little surprising with a glass panel into the toilet & shower area, although there was a privacy switch. Bathroom floor was the same colour as the discoloured mould in the shower. Hair dryer request was met with ‘ we will try’ which they provided. Upon the second night a second hairdryer had been provided, however towels had been removed. If room was serviced during our 2 night stay - the only evidence was a bin emptied and towels removed. Bed not made & tea/coffee supplies not replaced- overall disappointing really. Decor dark, not much natural lighting best bit was the Espa soap.

Was kept awake most of the night by a hissing noise coming from the air con unit and watery noises , very annoying indeed and dirty shower , red bacteria in all corners of the shower floor , towels didn’t smell clean they smelt stale , I won’t be coming back here again

Really well put together hotel. Easy auto check in sytem. Hi tech room with nice embelishments such as a dyson hairdryer and huge TV screen. Pretty good VFM when many Bristol City Cente hotels were £300plus.

Food excellent, small room but comfortable, could hear next door talking until 1230am and thuds above. Bed comfy, bathroom modern but not comfortable with glass wall prefer separate room. TV standard excellent, yea & coffee good, would be nice to have fruit tea options and biscuits

I was in room 202 & too be honest it wasn't good - so much noise coming from the hotels own nearby gym, especially when people were dropping the weights on the floor - constant loud banging until around 22.00 and then from 06:00 in the morning. Also no-one clarified the situation regarding car parking charges during check in.

Arrived at around 2pm to be told that as check-in is listed as 3pm we would have to Pay £15 for an early check-in. When I queried if a room was available, I was told yes. So why charge someone?? Smacked of budget airline pay for everything type of situation. Room service advertised, but was not available just after 11pm. Blind in the room was useless, so the room was brightly lit by 6:30am. Then we were treated to the sounds of the weight machines thumping every other second from the Gym beneath us.

Pretty disappointed. Having a bathroom that is exposed and has a clear door is really hideous. Not enough toilet roll provided when we arrived. No telephone to contact housekeeping/reception to get sorted. Poor design and layout of room. Really tight space despite being club room. Lack of facilities. Generally really disappointed

Check-in was rather painful because the automated kiosks were very error-prone. Pressing the 'back' button resets the entire check-in process, requiring you to enter your name and dates again. Late check-out option disappeared after the first attempt. Everything was fine once a member of staff returned to their desk and handled it all.

Room wasn’t cleaned all week. No fresh towels or toilet paper so had to ask everyday even thou I left the tag on the door for my room to be cleaned. Restaurant had none of the items 3 days on a run when we were ordering food and service seemed very stretched. One night we waited 2.5 hours for food because they forgot to put our order on.

Stayed Sunday night for one night. Went to their Starbucks cafe and fancied a warm Ham and Cheese sandwich. Picked it up from the cold cupboard and went to pay. Suddenly a female staff member (Alisha or similar) took it out of my hands, slammed down a curtain in front of the display and said: 'We are not doing any more hot food. We are closing at six. All you can have is a coffee.'

Quasi automated book in… Trying to get from the main road by car to the actual hotel requires driving through an industrial park. No apparent signage. In the dark not much fun. You can clearly see the hotel it’s just not that easy to drive up to it if you have never been before.. The rooms were good and practical. There was a bar and pool tables so all very ‘hip’. Also a gym. I would use again. I didn’t have the £20 breakfast which unless it’s cooked to order is on the steep side. Clearly the hotel is aimed at the corporations in the area.

Modern hotel with great amenities. It felt luxurious in it's simplicity, with a comfortable bed, well-sized room, nice bar and great gym and pool facilities. The location is slightly out of town, but close to stations and good if you have a car.

Good to have an indoor pool and sauna when in a short break in uk. Starbucks on site however nit the quickest service. Restaurant in hotel good staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection of drinks however limited selection of food burgers etc. Unfortunately location not best my fault for not doing research. You can hear the traffic and nothing in walking distance to do. The receptionist was very helpful and organised late checkout for me. All team members at hotel very friendly and helpful.

I only stayed one night, after i couldn't find a hotel with car parking nearer to city centre. Actually it worked out really well - lovely, modern hotel with restaurant and gym onsite. I'll be back next time i'm visiting Bristol.

I booked the Village Inn, Bristol for one night as it appeared to have everything on site. I had dinner in the ‘Grill Restaurant’, I had to ask the waitress twice to take my order. I ordered the peri-peri stack and a pint of Blackcurrant and Soda. The food came before the drink. Upon receiving my meal, I asked the waitress (a different one) for my drink she told me bluntly “I just run the kitchen”.. no drink…! During the meal I went to the bar and asked a male member of staff about my drink, he said it would come in a minute - still nothing. After I finished my meal… so it had been cooked and eaten my drink was still nowhere to be seen.. when the waitress came to collect my plate after the meal I asked for my drink again, and she finally brought it (receipt attached). I then went to breakfast 5 minutes after it opened. Coffee machine not on and not restored, no spoons out for hot food and the food was warm at very best… so I then went for some yogurt and fruit! The fruit bowl was disgusting (attached) and showed the manager. I don’t think he could be less bothered if he tried.

Reception point not clear as what it was. One set of Towels for 2 people, no drinking glasses in room, shower drain cover out of drain. Tried to use instant message system as no phones in room - no answer got a response too busy from automated service no point having a gimmick when doesn't work - frustrating. Breakfast a farce both mornings not enough staff - some of which were rude, food running out, juice glasses not available. Evening meal good with excellent service.

One night stay Super helpful friendly guy on check in. We had food & drinks in bar while awaiting arrival of friends. The fish wrap was gorgeous, Served with fresh hot fries. My partner had a pizza which was served on a long wooden platter. Was enough for 2 or 1 bigger appetite.Team in bar area were great, Nothing was to much trouble even when it got busier. Plenty of Tea/Sugar/milk etc in Room Huge bed, great clean linen. Bathroom was in the whole clean but it did look a bit tired around shower entrance. But Towels were fluffy & spotless. Breakfast was good. Poached eggs available on request and the fruit & Pastries were topped up in a timely manner. All in all a great place to stay if you’re coming to area. If you’re looking for a retreat maybe not for you but we loved the buzz ! Gym attached but didn’t venture there ! It seemed very popular. Car park is free weekends until 3pm it’s overlooked and seemed very safe. Thank you to the team members who made our stay lovely.
