Hotel Panorama Hamburg-Harburg

Limited selection in the restaurant. Not a seperat menu for kids

We liked the hotel for it's cost, location to shopping and restaurants, and the train station that allowed us to explore Hamburg. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were thankful to secure a late checkout(cost) since we were boarding our cruise in the late afternoon on a Sunday. We stayed for 2 nights. The room had a mini refrigerator and a work area. The room was very spacious and clean.

Standard Hotel for one night in Hamburg.

The hotel felt empty, I had a very good greeting by what appeared at first to be the only person that worked there. I soon realised that the restaraunt in the hotel was not open in evnings to eat and there was not a bar to get snacks or drinks. I had to go out into town to try and find somewhere else. The breakfast was a lot of money for not much choice it was a few yoghurt and cereals and white rolls with slices of meat or cheese. For an 8am breakfast there was me and one more guy. The room was very warm and the airco that was in the room didnt appear to work well. Anyhow it was clean, the room was warm so didnt sleep to well and the breakfast was not good... the staff were fine and the place was clean. If you have no were else and you need to be in this area then this is ok but if you have multi days on business then I would recommend to avoid and look for something else..

WiFi was very poor throughout my stay, at times not working at all, which is a basic requirement. Evening and breakfast menu was limited. Aircon worked and kept the room a comfortable temperature and the hotel was a convenient walk into the office and to local shops. But the WiFi issue was unnecessarily frustrating and means I won’t book again.
