Booked interconnecting rooms and called to confirm twice this was sorted and book breakfast. On arrival was told them rooms were opposite each other and wasn't happy with this as it must be connecting as staying with children. Noisy guests woke us all up multiple times coming back to the room late at night. Tv in one of our rooms were not working either. Unexpected additional cost of parking not advertised when booked. Breakfast wasn't great quality food for the price.

The hotel is fine overall and staff were pleasant. There did seem to be times where only one person was working both reception and the bar area which caused some delays. The bathrooms are functional but a bit dated now. Need a program of refurbishment. The cooked breakfast was disappointing with tough bacon and luke warm sausages. There was plenty of other choices however which were acceptable. Beds were comfortable and room was a decent size. The outside areas were nicely done with lots of flowers and grassy areas. The inner courtyard was especially nice to sit in. Overall a decent hotel but some room for improvement.

Shouldn't charge car parking for hotel guests, just a way to profiteer. Not a city centre hotel so reason for it as their are no issues locally with lack of parking.

A lovely hotel with paved and grassed outdoor areas, a lovely foyer working space and there most welcoming friendly and helpful staff. Note that the car parking is chargeable at £4 for 24 hours

The staff were great and the food good. There was a lovely garden area we could have drinks in. There was no decent decaffeinated coffee for breakfast only nasty instant. Why? Our room was nice but there as no air conditioning and the windows were high up so we had to stand in a chair to open them. One didn’t open. It’s not healthy not to be able to have fresh air in a room.

For the price this hotel is very average to say the least. Bar and restaurant area is ok but rooms are poor and the bathrooms are very old. Don’t expect to see black mould around the baths in rooms that cost over £100.00. for the night.

The hotel itself is well kitted out big comfy bed, big telly, plus sockets by the bed etc. But the cleanliness was lacking hairs in the shower, the sealant on the base of the loo, shower and sink unit was grubby and some unknown grunk on the front of the sink I ended up scraping off. Patchy WiFi and the kicker is the parking fee despite being well out of the centre and no realistic option to get there but the car.

Upon arrival absolutely no staff to assist with check in. Tired from driving and would have appreciated a friendly face. We managed to check in and make our room key but then no signs anywhere to direct you to the bedrooms. Luckily the waitress in the restaurant was helpful when asked. Once we found the room the door was very sticky. Room was clean but we had lights which didn’t work and a leak behind the toilet - visible dripping and a puddle and a very ‘damp’ smell in there. Bed was comfortable. We were kept awake until the early hours by a dog barking somewhere close to our room. Also lots of doors slamming - maybe as sticky as ours so no option than to slam them. No issues with cleanliness other than the leaky toilet but not sure I would return. Didn’t feel friendly at all.

Room wasnt as good as previous trip, the table was unstable/rocky, the shower curtain was too long and brown at the bottom, the bath was stained, no plastic sanitary bags in the holder...however the evening meal was nice and they leant me a charger for my mobile which was good. All restaurant staff were pleasant.

Room felt very neglected. We arrived to a dirty toilet in the ensuite. There was no toilet brush, so we had to use paper and water to clean it. We sould have complained but we arrived later than expected, and had a function to attend. Housekeeping in general was poor. The appearance of a rushed, that will do clean. We got the impression, staff felt put out if they were asked anything. Would not stay again.

Overall this is a lovely hotel. The room is great and the bed is the comfiest I think I’ve ever slept in. The shower is excellent and the staff were very friendly. The food and service in the restaurant were five star but the restaurant itself was a little chilly so we had to keep our coats on while we ate. The TV in the room was only picking up a weak signal so it was pixelating all the time and one of the handles on the window was broken and so couldn’t be opened

Stayed for one night after attending a family wedding in Halifax. Great location - well connected to the motorway network. TBH I wasn't expecting much for the price we paid for the rooms but I was very pleasantly surprised. Our room was very clean & spacious. The bed was large and exceptionally comfortable. The en-suite looked like it had been recently refurbished with quality units. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great nights sleep and a really nice buffet breakfast to set us up the next day. Lots of choice and all delicious! What more can you ask for? Will definitely stay again if I need accommodation in or around Huddersfield! Thank you Cedar Court!

Overall a good hotel, staff very helpful and room was comfortable and clean, shower was powerful, nice biscuits provided with tea/coffee. The only issue was wifi signal strength in the room, 362, TV picture kept freezing and trying to work on laptop was only possible through phone connection.

Our stay was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The standard room was clean and the bed very comfortable with two lovely fluffy pillows each. The only drawn back was that there was no air conditioning in the room which was not a problem for us in May but may be an issue during summer. We ate twice in the restaurant and the food was really good especially the Haddock and chips and the Bakewell tart and ice cream. We would have absolutely no issue with staying at this hotel again.

Easy to locate and about 4.5 miles from venue of Doctor's conference Was instructed by assistant receptionist to check in on-line while she stood by and chatted with other guests. Then again asked do my own car park reservation while the receptionist took details of the car of another guest who was checking in no room service food in the morning! Appalling attitude of receptionist. She said at 9am that she was too busy send any food to the room from the room service menu (24 hours)

Check-in was a disaster - one of our room keys was for an occupied room, and the occupant was there. Fortunately, very fortunately, nothing embarrassing ensued. But apart from this, the hotel was fine and the staff were nice.

Great stay in hotel. Room clean and comfortable. No complaints. Reception staff great, especially Chantelle. A big thank you for room change as my friend struggles with mobility and quickly changed room allocation no problem. Made a big difference. Thanks again 5 * service.

This is a beautiful hotel just outside Halifax. The price is a great deal considering all of the amenities and the incredible service provided by the staff. An Uber from the train station will cost you no more than 15 pounds. If you want to go into Halifax during the day, you can take the city bus for less than 3 pounds. It stops about a five minute walk from the hotel and takes you right into the center of town. It was better value to stay here and take an Uber to and from the train station and the city bus into Halifax than it was to stay in hotels in the city center. The customer service sets this hotel apart. I had to check in late after my train was delayed but they have a 24 hour front desk and friendly people to help at any hour. Definitely consider taking the bus into the city if you've taken the train to get there. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

By the time we went for breakfast a coach party had depleted the yoghurts and bread and probably other foods also on the cold table We managed but I noticed that they were not replaced by 9am and breakfast is served until 09.30am so some later arrivals had very little choice

Rooms are a bit tired, but bed was comfortable. Dinner service was slow very inexperienced staff . Breakfast buffet was very varied, however, the orange juice was so watered down it had no taste! Overall hotel is ok for the price , but don’t expect luxury
