Very comfortable stay at the Fortune hotel, easy to find, good parking, v friendly staff. Grab and go breakfast was okay. I got a good rate so was absolutely fine for what I paid. Nice pub next door, The Nags Head, nice food and good service. Perfect for business stay.

Hotwl was pleasant and in an ideal spot for a one night stop over. Check in was seemless and the receptionist was very professional and courteous. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces. Main negativity was the lack of a proper breakfast. There was a "to go" breakfast available, but we opted for the Toby Carvery, 10min walk away.

Great help yourself take away breakfast . Very helpful staff . I found room pretty quiet given the proximity to M62 - I also always use ear plugs . Take your own toiletries as the ones provided are not the best quality . Fast WiFi and plenty of parking .

The floor carpets from reception to rooms would do with either a deep clean or replacement. The dressing table chair also needs a clean. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and we look forward to another stay on our next trip to Yorkshire . The staff were amazing

The headboard was absolutely filthy. It was covered in some kind of greasy stains. Shame because the staff were really friendly and the bedding was clean. There is also a lot of road noise from the nearby motorway so if you are a light sleeper this isn’t the best.

After spending 3 nights at a place that didn't have air conditioning, I travelled to another hotel, hoping for some respite from the heat, for a further 7 nights. Imagine my disappointment when I checked in to find the same style of hotel under a different name! Added to that the M62 is on one side and there is a pub on the other so it was extremely noisy outside whatever time of the day or night. The room itself was looking very tired with stained carpet and chipped paint. The window opened but locked at around 10cm, which isn't great. No chance of any air circulation. Although a fan was provided, it wasn't helpful as it just blew hot air around. Breakfast is a 'Grab and go', which consisted of a sausage, egg or bacon roll, pastries and yogurt. No fruit or cereals. On the plus side the staff were helpful and friendly and it wasn't their fault the weather was so hot!

Facilities in room were great with a fan already in the room which was very welcome as room was very warm. Didn’t hear any noise from motorway but sound proofing within the hotel could be better as it did sound like a herd of elephants above us the first night! Breakfast although limited choice, was tasty and good value for money and we were happy to take back to room to eat. Overall we had a great stay at Fortune Huddersfield Hotel, very good value for money with friendly staff.

Clearly the hotel has replaced the bed mattresses since it was a Premier Inn. It has been many years since I experienced a mattress so uncomfortable. Consequently I had a terrible night's sleep. All other facilities were no different from its time as a Premier Inn.

I was a bit concerned as my room faced onto the M62 but with triple glazing I had no need to be as it wasn’t bothersome at all and yes you can hear it but it’s very muted also as this was previously a premier inn the rooms are big and beds very comfortable

We came up to stay one night with 2 young childen. When we arrived late at night i went in with my eldest child to check in whilst my partner stayed in the car with my youngest as she was asleep. The receptionist was really friendly and helped me put the heating on in the room. Once checked in and our baby was asleep our eldest wouldnt sleep so we sat in reception so he didnt waoe the baby. The receptionist was really friendly and chatted to us. As i walked back i was carrying some luggage and the receptionist offered to open our room door for us. The following morning a different receptionist was really welcoming, interacted with the kids and ensured we were all ok. Breakfast was grab and go but perfect for having 2 young kids. The beds were comfy and the hotel was quiet which made our stay even better. Overall a great hotel for a great price. Please say thank you to both receptionists working that night and day!

The room was perfect, staff polite and informative and we settled for a comfortable nights sleep. It was then apparent that the room opposite us had other ideas. From 10pm through to 3.30am there was constant loud talking and door slamming with a total disregrd for anyone else. I attempted to use the phone on several occasions to contact reception to inform whoever of the disrespectful behaviour. The phone was annoyingly not working and i therefore presumed reception was not manned. I deliberated if i should go to the opposite room to ask them to please keep the noise down. My wife being fearful for my safety said not to. We eventually got a couple of hours sleep. On checking out at 9am (earlier than planned)...the lady on reception asked how our stay was. We informed her of the awful situation we had endured and was told the phones dont work but reception was manned 24hrs and we should have come down to complain. We appreciate had we done this things may have been addressed but with a simple phone call would should have been suffice. Its a shame that our stay was marred by this and unfortunately we will not stay in a Best Western again. Kind regards.

Dusty beds , no mobile or WiFi signals in bedroom , multiple occupants in rooms having party , smashing door and noisy. Kids were comfortable in room so we left room after 15 mins occupancy . Receptionist told me no manager on duty and can’t refund . She ensured I will get call from Manager on Monday but no communication or refund yet . Terrible experience

Check in super easy - staff very friendly. Room very comfortable and spacious. Nice pub next door. Only downside was the fire alarm sensors are super sensitive and Stan from shower when we opened door set it off 🙈 When planning a trip to Halifax again for concert at Piece Hall I will definitely return.

Hotwl was pleasant and in an ideal spot for a one night stop over. Check in was seemless and the receptionist was very professional and courteous. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces. Main negativity was the lack of a proper breakfast. There was a "to go" breakfast available, but we opted for the Toby Carvery, 10min walk away.

Convenient good value hotel. Spacious clean room in good condition with large comfy bed. Although very close to M62 the double and secondary glazing did a great job to keep the traffic noise out. The included breakfast was grab and go style but the bacon sandwich was hot and well-filled, good choice of other items. We used for a music event in Halifax, and will very probably use next time!

We stayed for 1 night. Located next to a pub / restaurant and surrounded country area. It makes for a lovely stay. Nice staff and very comfy beds.

Dated property - for example, well worn hallway carpets need replacing. Poor breakfast with very limited menu. Plain teacake with sausage or bacon filling. No breakfast room - had to take food back to room or sit in tiny foyer. Just off motorway, not suitable without a car. For people with limited mobility it would be a problem to reach transportation - across two busy intersections and down steps to get to bus stop into town.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Budget hotel but comfortable beds an pleasant friendly staff. Breakfast has improved with a hot sandwich offer available now. Nice pub next door which does lunch and dinner if required.

A room for the night after a wedding, it did what it says on the tin. Very friendly staff, couldn’t do enough, even when I arrived on my road bike, I was offered a safe room to place it for the night without asking!! I declined as I prefer to keep it in my room. Room was clean and a very comfy bed. We took breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the sausage sandwiches were! Along with croissants, worth the price.

Perfectly adequate budget hotel. Staff friendly, available and helpful. Rooms basic and in need of some upgrading. Would benefit from a deep clean and lick of paint. Breakfast on the go was ok, would have preferred option of eating in adjoining pub.

Stayed 3 nights at Fortune Huddersfield Hotel. Friendly welcome at check in and room was large and spotlessly clean. Facilities in room were great with a fan already in the room which was very welcome as room was very warm. Didn’t hear any noise from motorway but sound proofing within the hotel could be better as it did sound like a herd of elephants above us the first night! Breakfast although limited choice, was tasty and good value for money and we were happy to take back to room to eat. Overall we had a great stay at Fortune Huddersfield Hotel, very good value for money with friendly staff.

Room was brill, a good space with a double bed and sofa and desk. Coffee and tea facilities were great and the fan was fab to have available. Air con would be better! Breakfast was ok but wish I’d skipped it and gone to toby carvery next door and got breakfast there. Would stay again!
