the water park it not include you need to pay for it they will give u 2 pass and you need to pay for any person . also i do not like the idea of deposit for $250 .

One out of two pools was dirty. It had trash floating arund in it, like used goggles, wrappers and debris. The middle hot tube smelled like stagnant water.

Mini vacation and OMG!!! Beautiful, right on the beach. I got to the resort early around 1:30 pm and the lady at the front desk checked me in. When we got to the room, the room was clean clean, full kitchen and right on the beach with a balcony. I would definitely be back. The only thing is the parking is $10.00 per night and they charge you a $250.00 fee or you have the option to buy an insurance for $39.00. I got the $39.00. Other than that is a beautiful place.

Pictures are very deceiving. Everything was subpar. There were holes in the wall behind the bed. There was an odor that we couldn't get rid of. We were supposed to be in a one bedroom but it was a studio. Staff was not friendly they were upset to be at work. Im used to upbeat friendly faces welcoming you to check in, she was the complete opposite almost annoyed thay we came. The water park is for the hotel across the street but it closes at 5 and only has slides no pool.

The pool on the left side of the property was disgusting. It had obviously not been cleaned for several days with cigarettes, trash and a white film floating on top. The mattresses are thin, cheap, uncomfortable mattresses. None of us slept well. Steam room was not available. Rooms are not serviced in terms of garbage/trash cans. A chute is provided on each floor and guests must remove their own trash.

1st time staying at The Palace. Ebony- the GM worked the desk, checked on all areas of the hotel. She was friendly and courteous upon my arrival. Also i would like to mention, lady with short blond afro cut and courtney? Was pleasant upon my arrival. I had an issue in my room, facilities were there in 15 minutes and resloved it. They have a restaurant onsite, 7pm fire show when available, 2 free waterpark tickets daily, dj on select friday and Saturday in season and weather permitting. My room waa cleaned and adequately staffed with linens. Cost was correct upon arrival. My room was ready and it was wonderful. Plenty of parking for Handicap too. I will return.

The parking security was very good. Room was nice staff was good enjoy it very much would stay again.

Great location, family friendly, 2 outdoor pools with 1 partially inside, 3 outdoor hot tubs and one inside. Right on the beach, my stay in the angle oceanfront queen w pullout was perfect for a family of 4. Def recommend this hotel, great for the price, would stay again.

I hate that I had such a hard time checking in… I like that the inside of the room looked nice appliances, decor etc. but (other than the main lobby floor) the hallway areas leading to rooms is outdated. I like that it was on the beach and had 2 free park passes and additional tickets were so cheap but the inside hot tub area looked very messy, there was a lot of debris in the little pool section on the inside and the seating looked worn down. I also did not like that they didn’t have an actual inside pool. I like that they had a sauna, steam room etc. but the wood looked stained and soiled even when no one had been sitting there. Also there was not enough instruction on how to keep it warm… The parking area did not indicate on all levels how to get out of the parking garage it only showed how to get in and then had an exit sign at the bottom level opening to the street. I saw arrows showing to go right so I was afraid to go left to exit but that seemed to be the way to go so that’s what I did. I liked that it was in a neutral location and had a wal mart around the corner. I like that it had multiple elevators. I didn’t like that the elevators to the parking garage was separate from the hotel so you had to get off one elevator and go to the other in order to get back and forth between the two. I liked that they had the option where you don’t have to let them hold $250. I like that you can pay to do late check out and that it was reasonably priced.

The rooms were definitely not cleaned good. I dont mind a hotel being a little run down aa long as its clean. But this one was not cleaned good and dusted. And the hall carpet had stuff on floor all week never was vaccum. This could be a nice place with some updating and cleaning

The property was very dirty found fescue in the bathroom blood on pillow and sheets when brought to their attention tried insinuating it was from us this was our send room the 1st one the toliet was about to fall over and the smell of marijuana was horrible says no pets allowed well there were many. We got a $50 voucher because of they nastiness but after ordering the restaurant called and were out of buns and called back again were out of fries mind you they only served mostly sandwiches. Do NO RECOMMEND

Our room was dirty upon arrival. Not enough towels, washcloths or anything really inside room. Toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor, into the hallway. Maintenance came and looked at it, but didn’t fix the issue. Towels had to be left on the floor just to walk around in those areas without getting feet wet or slipping. Very very noisy. Unsure what it was from but it was all day and all night. Sounded like metal hitting metal. The ocean view was great, the separate bedroom was great, hot water was good and staff were friendly.

Whew! It was right on the beach, that was the best part, we had a great view, and kitchen. The hotel its self had a smell, like stale cigarettes, and mold maybe. The room was not clean, there were stains on the comforters, and I did not trust sitting on the couch in the room. Bring your own linen!!!! Although we requested fresh linen, it was still rather stained!

I actually ended up buying my own bedding. On top of that, the rooms look nothing like the photos online. The resort advertises bright, modern spaces, but what we got was outdated, poorly maintained, and dirty. Very misleading. The receptionist did her best to help by moving us, but management was completely absent. I tried multiple times to contact the manager with never a response. No apology, no explanation, no accountability. I had to go through Expedia, and only then did the hotel refund one of the three nights. To make matters worse, I later discovered the Palace Resort hides negative comments on Facebook instead of addressing them. That says a lot about how they treat their guests. For the price I paid, I expected clean rooms and basic service. Instead, I got filthy conditions, unresponsive management, and false advertising. Don’t be fooled by the photos or social media image — the reality is dirty rooms, poor management, and no accountability. Spend your money elsewhere. I have pictures to show everything that I just talked about in this review as well.

Pool was closed most of the week shaded pool was open but dirty , room was dirty with roaches , bed was comfortable

If I could rate this hotel a -1000 I would. We planned to stay 2 nights and at arrival to the parking garaged we were immediately skeptical on the quality of this hotel. My husband went inside to check us in, and came out to tell me that we needed to pay to park at the hotel. We then proceeded to gather our things and head to our room. The elevators hardly worked, and were dirty on the inside. As soon as we stepped outside of the elevator we were hit with the smell of smoke and weed. Walking to our room we noticed the floors were dirty and had white dust and pieces of plastic. Upon entering our room we were greeted with a room that was NOT cleaned. There was scuff marks all over the walls in the room. The floors were dirty and had stains all over the carpet. There was boogies on the wall, and the kitchen table was still dirty. The top of the fridge was caked in dirt like I wasn’t cleaned in months. We found hair and some dirty substance on the bathroom counter. Bed sheets looked dirty. The door didn’t have a lock so anyone could’ve entered our room at any point. Hotel staff was unfriendly, they disabled our cards after coming to the front desk to ask for a refund due to the nature or the room and hotel in general, so we were looked out of our room with all of our stuff inside.

This is my second time staying here at this property, I just stayed in a different unit! The furniture and appliances in this particular unit are outdated and the carpet needs to be cleaned. No problem with the bed they were comfortable at best. However on my second day I did see a couple of roaches here and there! The property needs to be fumigated as a whole!

Roaches. Roaches, and more roaches. Within the first hour of a 4 night stay, we discovered this place was in fact infested with roaches. Got moved to a different room which was even worse! Words CANNOT describe the misleading pictures of the entire place vs reality. Literally did not sleep the entire night, and good thing we didn’t because the amount and size of bed bugs on the bed, would be enough to carry you to the beach in your sleep.. I hope this message finds the right place so others are warned. Iowan here, and we don’t do roaches nor bed bugs, especially roaches that can fly…

Check in/out was just fine. The “condo” needed work for sure but the bed was the biggest disappointment of all!

Looks old and outdated, beds were like sleeping on the floor being so hard. Our room had ROACHES. I had to go to Walmart and buy roach traps, sprinkler was leaking, took forever for the hot water to kick in. Had I done my homework and read some of the other reviews, I probably wouldn't have booked this place.

Multiple issues with a room 1711, beat up furniture , the worst spring mattress you can get. Glad there was a folding couch. Kitchen poorly equipped with a plastic stuff, no frying pan (had to buy one at the Walmart). Sinks clogged. Garbage under the bed. Zero cleaning supplies. 30” tv in the room with broken remote. 20” tv :) in the bedroom with no remote. AC unit loud as hell, wakes you up 10 times at night. Refrigerator making buzzing noise. With this “resort” is a hit and miss. Have to slam doors to close it. Sauna was out of order, same garbage by the pool outside for days. Bad smell in the lobby that staff tried to mask with air fresheners. Last year we get a great room, this year was pretty bad. Next year we will try our luck someplace else. Some condo owners don't care about their place at all. Best thing about this pace is location, 5 min from Walmart and great ocean view.

It was very spacious!

Room was mediocre, at best. It was listed as ocean front angle room; it was on the backside of the hotel i would have listed as ocean view if that. The fridge didn’t work when we got in the room so all the stuff we got we put in the freezer because it was colder. They came and fixed it on day 2 of 3. The shower doors wouldn’t stay on track and my daughter got stuck in the shower. They only supplied you with one blanket for the pull out couch and it was thin so my kids had to cuddle to use the one blanket. Water pressure in the shower was terrible took forever to get my shampoo rinsed out.

We have stayed at the palace many times and have never had an issue with any of our stays. I particularly enjoyed the large window in the living room area this time. Made for a great side view

Resort is very dated. Night security was very nasty and unprofessional. He said the atr closed at 11pm when In fact it did not. We were trying to eat pizza as a group. If I stayed again it would definitely be in another style room.

I really appreciate the security at the property. I actually seen them patrol the parking deck and property. Very safe.

As soon as we arrived in parking deck to check in, we immediately smell strong odour of marijuana. We went to front desk to check in and female at front desk was eating food and licking her fingers and acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She told us our room was in the 1st floor. We asked her if we could please have a room that was higher up because we wanted a great view of the beach. You would think that with a resort with 22 or more floors, that there would be one higher. She states she could give us a room on the 2nd floor or the 14th. The other lady at the front desk whispered to our attendant that we would not want the room on the 14th floor. The lady we were speaking with told us that other people had been assigned to that room and there was something wrong with it. We asked if room on 2nd floor was as good as original room on 1st floor that they assigned us to. She said they were the same so we chose 2nd floor room. After paying $30 parking fee and $250 refundable security deposit, we went to check out our room. On the way to the room, we noticed ceiling in the hallway appeared to be leaking and molded. When we got to our room, room was nothing like the pictures that we saw on Expedia. Room was very rundown. Paint coming off walls, balcony was very small, room not dusted very well at all. We went out on balcony and the smell of marijuana was so bad that we could hardly stand to be out there and there is supposed to be no smoking inside hotel.

It weren't luxury but it was ok. Nothing to beach about. Wayy deep in Myrtle beach if you like that end. The South end. They charge for parking now & holding fee for damages. If the price is good like this time i would return for a night, maybe 2.

The overall stay was good. Yes, the property could use some updates but it wasn’t in terrible shape. My 1bdr angle ocean view condo was nice and spacious enough for my family. I didn’t have any rodents in my room as many reviews have said. Cons: BE AWAR: either a $250 refundable deposit or pay a one time flat rate of $39 for parking. Better house keeping, sweeping and mopping floors of the rooms and the pools should be skimmed and cleaned every morning. No breakfast offered. Pros: Great location, Awesome ocean views and beach access, waterpark access, on-site security, calm property, good for families.

They call themselves a resort and it WAS no resort. There was no breakfast bar, no continental breakfast. Coffee in the room sucked. Not enough sugar, cream. It felt like it was an inconvenience to the person at front desk when I asked for towels. The two people I encountered at front desk weren’t very friendly. Expedia take them out of your suggestions please! Mexico Resorts are actually resorts.
