Great hotel! I loved checking in and receiving two free drink coins along with the breakfast in the morning. If you stay on the 2nd floor, do know there are a few steps to climb as there isn’t a lift in the building. There is a nice Italian restaurant/bar across the street to go to after the hotel bar closes down.

Hotel is located in a very convenient area. Metro stations nearby - 0.2 miles from each Strasbourg-Saint Denis - lines 4, 8 & 9 and Réaumur-Sébastopol - lines 3 & 4. It is walkable to the Louvre (about 15 minutes walk). The hotel has a restaurant; we enjoyed breakfast there. There are also many other dining options nearby; however, the area does not feel touristy. Hotel has A/C and a small elevator, so we did not have to carry the luggage up the stairs. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and accommodating.

Loved this hotel. There is no lobby but the restaurant is good and the rooms are large with tall ceilings. I was here for work so the location was perfect. Quiet and safe but near lots of nightlife, restaurants, etc.

Great desk staff, but having to traverse across the square to the room was annoying. No elevator/lift, with a very tight circular stairwell that was also quite steep. Everything about this hotel felt small and cramped. The room itself was clean and functional. Excellent shower. What was quite odd was the total lack of activity on the street and in the square between the desk and the restaurant. It was very strange, given the amount of activity and people mere minutes away.

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Edgar & Achille. The room was meticulously clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed and a stunningly good shower. (I suppose the room was a bit small, but not by European standards). The service was outstanding: from the warm and helpful welcome (checking our bags when arrived in the mid-morning) to the constantly cheerful and kind help from those at the desk (in English which was very helpful for us). Just a heads up, the restaurant, which was good also, is actually across the street from the hotel itself.

Wonderful area in a quiet little square that was within perfect walking distance of everything. Our only main issue was the air conditioner didn’t seem to work and the staff was not able to service it during our stay which left our room quite stuffy at times, along with the shower head having difficulty staying in place. Otherwise the staff and the restaurant downstairs were great, we would consider coming here again as long as we can secure a better room.

The hotel has a great deal of character and is located in an area with fewer tourists. The rooms are small and spartain. It would be nice to have at least one comfortable chair. In room coffee would also be appreciated. The hotel should not be advertised with a restaurant. The restaurant is across the street. There is no room service. There is no place in the hotel to relax. The lobby is tiny and is used by the hotel staff for meetings.

I had a lot of problems in this hotel. When we first arrived, the key cards to the room weren’t working and when we finally were able to get into the room, there was a very fishy/musty smell. They also advertise that they had air conditioning, but when we got there, it was super hot outside and when we asked about turning on the air-conditioning, they said that it was a central unit and it couldn’t be turned on because in the following days, it was gonna be cold. It was like 80°F outside (and in my opinion that constitutes as a temperature that requires AC) and to be told that we couldn’t turn the AC on was very inconvenient. We decided to call Expedia and after Expedia talk to the hotel they were able to turn the AC on so that just made me think that they didn’t wanna do it in the first place when we asked and that’s why it wasn’t the best experience for me. I do have to say that when the smell in the first room that we were at was very strong and I asked the reception to give me another room. They were accommodating and they did move me to another room. Again in that room, the smell was still present so I think it’s a hotel-wide problem but we open the smell did go away. The area is not central to all the main Paris attractions, but there are bikes super close that you can rent and it was pretty accessible and easy to use and overall the best mode of transportation that I found.

We arrived for check in late in the evening. The room type we had booked and paid for was not available, we were given another room in the adjacent building. The new room was adequate, and not in the best decorative condition. From the online description and images of the room we had booked it felt like the room we had been given was not of the same quality. The grout in the wall tiles of the bath area had black mould in it - easily rectifiable with bleach. We were offered two free drinks tokens as compensation for not been allocated the room we booke!

It was a really nice cozy hotel. My room was on a 5th floor with a Juliet balcony and a nice view. It was clean and quiet! The surrounding area is quite and taxi sometimes struggled to find it, but other than that it was a really nice stay. Location is 30mins walk (10mins ride) from Place Vendome. Really good if you want to stay in central Paris.

The hotel has a great location – it’s easy to get around Paris from here. The room was nice, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would have appreciated having a small fridge in the room, which is why we’re giving one star less. Overall, a great stay!

Quiet small hotel in excellent location. Rooms are really nice though no tea or coffee making in the room. This time I had a dark brown room with black floors and very little lights and it wad not easy to see much in the room. But the room was fine and its quiet at night. I had a lovely stay at Hotel Edgar & Achille. The staff member named Sarah was very attentive and gave me excellent recommendations for food and drinks, which turned out to be fantastic places. The hotel is close to the Bourse de Commerce and Louvre and the district where many East Asian restaurants are concentrated—an excellent location. The breakfast was also outstanding. You can choose between savory and sweet options, and it comes with fresh bread and coffee. I would definitely come back. The neighborhood around the hotel felt very lively, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

The property was in a great spot, close to various Metro stations to get around Paris. The room was small but ideal for what we needed - the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately there were a few miscommunications between staff members and we hit a few snags during our trip. When we arrived, we were given a card to a room that was still dirty and had a guest’s old food and drinks items in there. The staff did sort this for us fairly quickly and gave us a new room, offering us a free breakfast the following morning as an apology. We were advised that a note was added to communicate with the restaurant regarding this breakfast offer, but when we went down the next morning we were told they didn’t know anything about it. The same person was on Reception that checked us in, and he told the restaurant he didn’t know anything either, but we were there when it was agreed with him and one of the hotel managers. It was a bit frustrating but we just found food elsewhere as we didn’t want the hassle. Overall a good stay, and we still had a lovely time in the city.

I've stayed here many times and will continue to do so. They have one of the best hotel breakfasts and also a very friendly and helpful staff. I love the hotel's location as well, and the rooms are well decorated and comfortable.

Good location near a number of metro stations making getting around really easy. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Near an amazing street for food-Rue Montorguiel, about 10 minutes walk away. Also able to walk to attractions in about 30 minutes if you don’t want to take metro.

Hotel is located in a very convenient area. Metro stations nearby - 0.2 miles from each Strasbourg-Saint Denis - lines 4, 8 & 9 and Réaumur-Sébastopol - lines 3 & 4. It is walkable to the Louvre (about 15 minutes walk). The hotel has a restaurant; we enjoyed breakfast there. There are also many other dining options nearby; however, the area does not feel touristy. Hotel has A/C and a small elevator, so we did not have to carry the luggage up the stairs. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel has a great location – it’s easy to get around Paris from here. The room was nice, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would have appreciated having a small fridge in the room, which is why we’re giving one star less. Overall, a great stay!

Hotel was clean, well-maintained, very authentic. Staff was gracious and accommodating to our needs. Our room was on the top floor and rather spacious. Comfortable bed, nice shower and lovely views of Paris rooftops. Did not like the toilet separated from the shower and sink but that is standard in older buildings in France. However, the toilet is not for the claustrophobic. Area is quiet and fronted by a small square that boasts a hotel-affiliated restaurant on one corner and an Italian establishment on another. Property is a mere two blocks from the Strasbourg/Saint Denis metro and the very happening area branching off the historic Port-Saint Denis Arch. Many dining and drinking establishments line the streets of this area. The nearby Rue Blondel features some interesting sights, though not necessarily sights for pearl-clutchers. All in all, I very much enjoyed our stay at the Edgar and Achille Hotel.

Nice central location, and easy access to metro stations...but there is street nearby with lady of the evenings you may want to avoid. Otherwise, perfectly fine, also, very clean...tiny elevator, appreciated the A/C. Fresh croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast! Good coffee.

Edgar & Achilles was perfect for what I needed! The staff was all super friendly and so helpful. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was SO GOOD. Easy 0.2 walking distance to the nearest metro stop with plenty of great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

This is great location in the 2nd that is a short walk to two different metro stations. The included breakfast is awesome (although I recommend to hotel management that you NOT charge for refills on coffee). This was our first trip to Paris and after exploring many other Arrondissements while we were there, we are VERY happy with our choice to stay in the 2nd.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Edgar & Achille. The staff member named Sarah was very attentive and gave me excellent recommendations for food and drinks, which turned out to be fantastic places. The hotel is close to the Bourse de Commerce and Louvre and the district where many East Asian restaurants are concentrated—an excellent location. The breakfast was also outstanding. You can choose between savory and sweet options, and it comes with fresh bread and coffee. I would definitely come back. The hotel has a great deal of character and is located in an area with fewer tourists. The rooms are small and spartain. It would be nice to have at least one comfortable chair. In room coffee would also be appreciated. The hotel should not be advertised with a restaurant. The restaurant is across the street. There is no room service. There is no place in the hotel to relax. The lobby is tiny and is used by the hotel staff for meetings.
