The views aren’t to great. But the greenery is great and nice to have a terrace to get out side in the mornings without leaving the room. The pull out couch is very uncomfortable but after a long day of walking and taking in the beautiful city was fine. The gym pool and spa were used mutiplr time through the days of our stay and always clean and not too busy.

Overall nice facility however when I had to move the tv stand the amount of dust build up was a concern. Also the room air conditioner did not work. Temp was set to 69. Room temperature after 6 hours was 75.

Right beside BC Place. All good but air conditioning is weak. Never did get temp in room below 76F by midnight although is was only in the low 80's outside. I would avoid in extremely hot weather.

We were surprised at check-in (which they accommodated as an early check-in with no fuss) to hear that they upgraded us to a suite. The room was wonderful and much, much better than our previous stay in Vancouver at a different hotel in the same location. The amenities were just what we needed, the fresh fruit was a nice touch, and the location is perfect for our trips from Vancouver Island. I immediately favourited this hotel for a future stay.

We were able to check in early, which was great. Free parking and Tom at the front desk was wonderful! So friendly and informative. It was easy and quick. The room is very nice and clean. Also the hotel is very conveniently located. We loved our stay.

The check-in experience was quite poor. We arrived at around 3 pm with normal check-in being 4 pm. We were told that our room wasn't ready yet and that they would text us when it was. We went for walk around the neighborhood and did a bit of shopping before coming back at 4 pm. Since we still hadn't received the promised text we sat down in the lobby and continued to wait. After about 10 minutes I went up to the front counter to inquire how much longer it would be and was told that the room was ready. When I pointed out that nobody had texted us with that information, I was simply told that they hadn't bothered to send the text because it was after the 4pm regular check-in time. A very poor experience for a $500+ per night hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and every time service was perfect. Not this time we decided to ask for an early check in, he was not impressed multiple times referring to room not having to be available till 4pm. He was very annoyed we asked for an early check in . So my wife used the business room for some business meetings and I worked out and hit the sauna. After that checked out bags and again he was annoyed and reminded us 4pm is check in time. We went for lunch and came back at 2:30pm. He was annoyed and reminded us again 4pm is check in time, but he searched high and low for a room and found one for us. Why did he not text us like he said he would to let us know our room is ready. We will be taking a break for hotel blu but we will come on a later date. We have always have had great service, room not available no biggie but we should be able to ask with him not feeling annoyed we asked.

Hotel Blu Vancouver – June 15-16 Stay Check-in was great — I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who helped us because he was absolutely amazing: welcoming, professional, and a fantastic start to our stay. Unfortunately, a later interaction with another staff member, Melissa, completely changed the tone of our experience. My husband and I brought my cousin and his wife back to the hotel with us to hang out for a bit, but we were stopped at the counter and told they couldn’t come up. We were then told we’d need to pay extra to register additional guests. While I understand that policies are in place for a reason, the way Melissa spoke to us was condescending and incredibly disrespectful — like we were children being scolded. It was upsetting, not just for me, but also for my husband and our guests who witnessed it. The tone and delivery were completely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. This experience has left a sour taste, and I will be seriously reconsidering any future stays here. I’ll also be sharing my experience with friends and family — because while great service makes a stay memorable, poor treatment like this is hard to forget.

We arrived early and were disappointed to discover the restaurant was just breakfast and lunch and they had no bar. We were directed to a bar in the hotel next door. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the aromatherapy oils and machine that were offered.

The staff were all excellent. Great location and amenities. Overall very happy and would stay again. The pool and hot tub were clean and fun. Rooms could be updated a bit, but serves it's function. Customer service was very good, which I find is hard to come across these days. The breakfast room service could be revamped to make it a bit more customizable, especially for the price point. 25% added to the already overpriced breakfast.

We love Hotel Blu. The cheerful staff are so very helpful. Breakfast was a la carte but we enjoyed sharing the scrumptious avocado toast. The location is perfect for walking up the shopping street Robson or heading on Cambie Rd to the historic Gastown!
