Ginza Capital Hotel Moegi

It has all the amenities of a busy traveler!

The hotel was in Ginza but it is a 17 min walk to the main shopping district. This was fine with us because when we didn’t feel like walking, we could take a train within a few steps of the hotel. The area feels safe and clean, even late at night. We stayed in a connecting family room which was roomy for Tokyo standards. The kids loved having their own room and bathroom. We were given fresh pjs daily and disposable slippers which were replaced every day. The staff cleaned our room daily which was nice. There’s many metros near the hotel so most of the things we wanted to do were a 20 min train ride away and maximum 45 mins if you want to go to ueno or shibuya. We loved having so many combinis within a short walking distance away from the hotel. We also enjoyed quite a few Japanese breakfasts at Yoshinoya which was 5 mins walk from the hotel. The staff were accomodating and pleasant and they allowed us to borrow umbrellas when it was raining which was so helpful. They also provided with details of a car service that took us to Haneda airport at the end of our stay for approximately 10,500 yen for 5 people and 5 luggage’s. We used the washing machines twice during our 9 day stay and you can monitor the use of the washing machine on the tv in your room. The washer and dryer was helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, staff and amenities

Pros: Staff were friendly. Very close to train stations and convenience stores. Room is clean and good size. Window coverings can block out lights. Cons: Although there are 2 washers and 2 dryers available, the capacity of them are very low. One of the dryers (if i recalled correctly, it is the one on the right side) doesn't even heat up, making it even harder to dry the clothes. We basically need 3 drying cycles to dry our clothes, and we will still feel a little bit of moisture from 2-3 pieces of clothings if using the dryer on the right side. The dryer on the left side is much better, but still need at least 3 cycles to dry your clothes.

This is our second stay. We love this location and had a great experience the first time. Not anymore. Our room was filthy. There was vomit or spills on the headboard, residue or some liquid on the bedsheets and bed skirt. When I brought up the issue to the front desk - the gentleman showed no apology. Eventually after insisting he brought the custodian who eventually helped us wipe the mess and change the sheets. We stayed for 3 nights - no offer to change rooms right away or clean right away. On check out, we misplaced one room card and we were shocked when we were demanded, yes demanded, to pay 500 yen to replace the card. The guy looked at us and talked to us like a criminal. For the filthy room the very least would have been to not charge us for the extra room key which no other hotel does. I have recommended this hotel to many in the past. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone unless they take their service on par to others. The front desk staff need more compassion and if they hate their job go elsewhere. I have asked an English speaking manager to call me to discuss these issues. As of today no response or bother to discuss.

This property was quiet, clean, and safe. It was an easy walk to the outer market and subway access. It’s always tough finding the right number of beds for our teens and my husband and me. We booked two connecting rooms for a family of five and it was perfect! Everyone was comfortable and happy and I thought it was priced perfectly. There are fancier spots but I think of myself as being pretty picky when it comes to where we stay and I was very happy here.

The property was not the best we had lived in. We only stayed for one night, so it was manageable. Not the cleanest hotel, but it has a good location near the public transport stations.

Clean room (with tiny bathroom), ample breakfast to fuel up for a full day of exploring, lots of little restaurants and Tsukiji fish market nearby, 15-minute walk to high-end Ginza shopping, Tokyo Tower, and to Tokyo station. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.

The hotel is about 50m away from Tsukiji station exit3A, but only stairs accessible from that exit. The front desk staff and cleaner are nice, the room is clean. many local restaurants, convenient stores nearby, 10mins walk to Ginza area.

Good location and easy access to subway station. All the staff super friendly and helpful. Rooms need some updating. Our bathroom had a strong moisture smell. We believe that it may be due to the shower water filtering through the tub edges against the wall. Also, shower curtain could be a little wider to cover length of tub.

Spent 5 nights here as I was running the Tokyo marathon. The staff were welcoming and the room fine. The room came with a fridge and kettle. Very close to a metro so getting around Tokyo easy. Highly recommend.

Decent hotel but barebones as far as layout, amenities and space. The location feels like a business district. Not as lively as other areas of Tokyo. Beds are very hard and not very comfortable.

Awesome stay.. beds were comfy and I like the bathroom layout for privacy and convenience… the staff was very friendly and welcoming!!!

Staff was very strict about checkout time (even a couple of minutes after 10am would result in an additional charge), got charged the equivalent of $5 for a lost keycard. Breakfast closes strictly at 930am and is quite bad (far better options in the area). Staff refused to help making a restaurant reservation. Room was ok

It is located very close to Tokyo station. Easy and quick access to Tokyo Disney land.

It's easy to access to center of Tokyo. The room is little bit small,but nice and new. I stayed there with my family.2 room is connected. So I could use extra space. That's good point. They clean the room very nice. Room service is economic,as well. We ordered dinner bento. It was delicious. Not so far from Haneda airport, Disney Land,and Tokyo station. This area is ex biggest fish market. So sushi and other restaurants is higher quality and low price. Tempura,okonomiyaki,yakitori,soba,,,etc. You can stay this hotel with economic price. I don't think you can find like that easily with this price in Tokyo.
