Las Palmas by the Sea All Inclusive

A pleasant stay, thank you! Very family friendly and comfortable, with delicious food, excellent drinks, and friendly staff. The facilities need some love (e.g., the pool tiles are coming off, there is damage from wear and tear in places), but the staff ensure it is all kept clean and comfortable. Happy that we chose this resort.

Love the heated pool. Hated there aren’t enough chairs for everyone. People lined up at 6:30am to try and get a lounge chair to use ( unacceptable). Stayed in room 133 highly recommend it. Great beachfront view.

The resort is small but that was okay. Not near enough lounge chairs. We asked one of the staff by the adult pool if we could put our towels on lounge chairs and go for breakfast. They said it was fine. When we returned our things were gone, and everything was taken to the lobby. We had a small speaker playing music in the adult pool area and a staff member came over and said we had to turn it off, no music allowed. If you want a chair out on the beach you will have to get up and go save it at 6:30 in the morning because there are so few chairs. (They do allow you to save chairs on the beach) This is a resort I will not return to.

I am genuinely surprised that this place has nearly 4 stars, as my experience was far from satisfactory. I called ahead to confirm that the hotel had ample parking for guests and was assured there was plenty available. However, upon arrival, I found only 10 to 15 parking spaces for the entire hotel, which were also used by the staff. At check-in, I requested to add an additional guest to my reservation. The front desk agent was unhelpful and insisted it was not possible to make changes, even though I was willing to pay the difference. It took nearly an hour for him to finally agree to make the changes. My family and I had planned a full family vacation, booking a total of six rooms for the entire week. Two of these rooms were mine—one for my wife and me, and the other for our kids. One of our rooms had a strong smell of humidity, and the air conditioning in both rooms did not work properly, failing to cool the rooms. In one of my brother-in-law's rooms, the ceiling in the shower started dripping water, and the air conditioning was also not functioning. Another brother-in-law's room experienced an overflowing shower, causing water to spill into the room. None of the six rooms we rented had working air conditioning. During lunch one day, one of my kids started feeding the birds. A staff member approached rudely and yelled at my child, telling him to stop immediately or face a fine from the hotel. Instead of addressing the issue with me.

This place is great. Not perfect but a great deal for the money. Two pools one kids, one adult and a hotub. Right on the beach. Panoramic views from the main dining palapa. Three bars and nightly entertainment. Its ok. 10 peso bus ride to the Malecon or 150 pesos by taxi. The wifi here is surprisingly great. In the rooms and around the resort. Unlike the reviews I have read. Someone stepped it up. My data Esim card not needed here but helpful when on the road. No room service or fridges in the room. If not in the mood for buffet there is an Italian and Mexican restaurant that needs to be reserved at 1100am Sharp! Lol. The nearby Walmart is a great place to catch a bus to Sayulita, Bucurias, Nuevo, etc We would come back

The resort was nice. A littler older but the aesthetic was pleasing, and clean. Two things to note is that it’s by a crocodile swamp thing, which was fine but they lady freaked at us when we went into the ocean at night because I guess that’s when the crocs come out haha. So no ocean swimming at night. And the pool and hot tub closed at 9 which sucked. It’s also a local hub for locals to come to after work and karaoke loud but it stopped at 10:00 pm so not too bad. Food was something to be desired but edible. The resort did have the best sand on the beach compared to anything south of us. Anything south of the resort had a lot of rocks and wasn’t as smooth. I would say a 3 star resort. And not many of the staff spoke English. Which caused some problems when booking excursions.

Scary to use the elevators. Broke down every day. Front desk staff not very friendly. Bar staff were amazing.Most of the buffet staff were amazing Security staff were not very nice. Don't dare leave a towel on a lounger at 8:50 am as they will come and remove them as well as your personal belongings.All I did was go to the washroom and came back the towels and my bag were gone. Rooms were quite dirty, bed was comfortable. Will not return.

We recently spent three nights at Las Palmas by the Sea, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The resort’s beachfront location in Puerto Vallarta’s South Hotel Zone is ideal, offering easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. The beach area was clean and easily accessible. The resort features two pools, including an adults-only pool, which provided a relaxing environment.

We loved the resort. There were 2 (sometimes alternating between Mexican or Italian) a la carte restaurants. The Tuesday night sunset dinners were fabulous! My only concern would be if there was cooler/rainy weather for eating in the beautiful open air restaurants (the only one that would be open is the main one under a large palapa). The buffet meals were ok but not great. Some of the evening entertainment was excellent but some was not. We would have appreciated more music to dance to. We also loved the beach and ocean there.

No parking if you rent a car and they can call you 1 or 2 am to move it. To much noise some areas at 4rd floor very late at night and very early in the morning too if you stay close to the area the workers pass. Not happy for my 3 night no sleep, no rest

Avoid destroying your vacation at this place. Rude staff and rooms are very dirty. Bed bugs all round and no good food to eat.

Do not stay here. This is not a bad review. This is my honest review. We stayed in room number 9. It smelled soooo bad, it was dirty and dusty and the beds were hard as rocks. The pillows are trash. The hallway to get to our room (which is right by the kitchen that prepared the food for the entire hotel) smelled like sewer and we were woken up by the staff and construction every single morning at 5am, it was like they didn’t care that they’re working at a resort and people are on vacation. They would be laughing and cussing and just being loud right outside our room. One day my husband asked for two towels and the receptionist was very rude to him. The food there was disgusting. If you went up to the lady making the eggs she would give attitude as if she bought the eggs herself. I would feel guilty asking for eggs. The fruit looked gross, the chicken looked gray. The bread was stale. I will say most of the servers were very nice at the restaurant there also the bartenders were nice and the doormen were very helpful with helping us get taxis. Do not stay here, for an extra $100 you can stay somewhere nicer, cleaner, friendlier, more considering of their guests. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in a very long time.

You can smell dirty mop water when walking thru the resort. Swamp next to resort is full of trash. Food lacked flavor and samw stuff each day

Personalmente, me gustó mucho mi estancia de una noche. El personal es muy amable, especialmente Griserio en el comedor. La cama es una de las más cómodas que he tenido en un hotel. Buena presión en la ducha con agua muy caliente. Me gustó la comida. El único punto negativo es la presencia de pájaros en el comedor.

Staff were very nice specially thomas from the receiving area, the housekeeper (forgot her name) and the bartenders near the buffet area. Location is great, close to the airport, shopping area and downtown. The room is ok, bathroom looks old and saw baby cockroaches in the washroom, bed and everywhere. Probably our first and last stay here

The AC in room are horrible. Barley get cold. Only one outlet in the room. Room smelled like sewer. Food was horrible and plain. Got sick from food. Drinks and food not worth the all inclusive price. Bar cups not properly sanitized between guests. The cups were just rinsed. Got 3 rooms between me and family. The only thing I enjoyed was the view and pool. Main lobby smelled horrible. Never will go back or recommend.

We really enjoyed the staff very friendly and accommodating. The property is outdated in our room we had cockroaches and found a worm in the bed. It was late at night and property didn’t have night staff for bed to be changed so I shared the other bed with my sister. They did offered us another room but it was late.

The rooms were very clean. The staff were friendly. Staff went out if their way to be helpful.

The staff were all exceptional! The room wasn’t as quiet as we would like but overall everything was great!

For context - we stood as a group of women from the US that go to Mexico often and speak spanish. We felt unsafe that none of the rooms had a deadbolt or a safe that had keys. You had to go down to the lobby to request a key. We had to use chairs up against the door to allow ourselves to feel safe as there was not a deadbolt. We felt as if the staff were very rude to us and would make rude remarks when we simply were eating at dinner or when drinking at the bar when we were quiet and polite - not seeking any attention and just trying to relax on our vacation. I would not recommend for any of my family or friends to stay at this resort and I will not be returning.

Internet is slow, food almost the same everyday, faucet leaking- maintenance to check, aircon not strong enough

Hotel rooms are outdated but its clean, the food was great and so as the staff, its near to almost everything that we want to go,

Nice all inclusive. Not too big of an area. Food was not great and the sheets could use updating Staff was lovely.

When we came in June of 2022, everything was great and we were excited to come back again so we booked another trip March 1-6,2023. The food wasn’t good the same options everytime for the buffet pretty much. the reservation dinner was not good at all we did the i Latino and Mexican nights. Some said the bacon on the asparagus was raw I think it was tuesdays dinner. Then our room safe didn’t have a lock at all and after complaining they ended up giving us a lock for it which still didn’t really work good last time we had a number pad lock on the safe. We were supposed to get full ocean view like last time on the third floor but they gave us room 132 and it was directly over the pool and loud at night with just a tiny look at the ocean you don’t even hear the waves on the balcony first thing in the morning when it was quiet and the shower sucked it was very small compared to the last one and had a small cheap head on it for water. There was hair on the soap holder in the shower where there was new shampoo and sealed bar of soap. Then by the sink it war two white holders on the wall they were dirty I could wipe it off with my finger or towel and see it was they didn’t clean it all week. Our room it’s self was small too. Compared to our last trip and this one it was poor and if we come back we will be going to a different resort probably. Very disappointed but it was clean enough and mandible we made it work for the week. The service was great with pool and food love them!

Room is very outdated, food options very minimum. Elevator was broken twice in our 2 week stay, very noisy.

We really enjoyed our time. We stayed 11 nights. The first night we didnt arrive until 7ish at night. The front counter staff were not helpful. They didnt tell us where to go, they didnt explain where anything was nor did they give us the lock for the safe. They have us the brochure with all the info in Spanish. We went back down and they finally gave us one in english. We really enjoyed the small authentic feel to the place. Theres not a huge selection of food, but whats there is delicious. . I would definitely recommend people to bring ear plugs for bedtime, as the rooms are not sound proof at all. The hotel is very family friendly, so its loud alll the time. Rooms are very clean ! Also the night time entertainment was not the best . We loved some of it like the authentic mexican dancing . But other nights we not so great . .

Would not stay here left after one night, The Ac did not work, they has a open window in the bathroom that didn't close., it was open wood latts it let all the mosquitoes into your room

Only issue was poor communication and the unwillingness of some of the front desk staff to assist you. Others were excellent. Didn’t like the fact that after the 11 am check out time and your flight was 6 or 7 hours later that they wanted payment per person per hour to remain on site and enjoy the property

Or flight was delayed for 2 days. I called the hotel to let them know, they said I had to also contact hotels.com to let them know. When we arrived, they offered to extend our stay for the 2 days which I had to decline due to prior engagement. Overall, they put me in a room facing the ocean, king bed, huge bathroom. All of which were requested. The service was great, entertainment was good, area was safe and easily accessible for catching the bus or other means of transportation. Close to the airport and Malecon. You must go and see David the bartender near the entrance of the hotel. Great service and very entertaining. Food was great, don’t forget to get your omelettes and pancakes at the grill in the morning, and every evening dinner is something good.

Staff was awesome; Luis, Salvador, Miguel and Edgar were amazing. Loved the location, food, everything was great! Go back there again in a heartbeat!!!

Amazing stay at Las Palmas! Everyone was SO welcoming. Smaller resort so not a ton of food options, but everything we had was good. Nightly entertainment. And David the bartender in the lobby was the BEST. Resort is definitely more locals, and we should have practiced our Spanish, but everyone spoke at least a little English and were so encouraging when we tried to learn. Completely our fault we didn’t try to learn more before we went 🙂 Would highly recommend, cannot wait to return!

This is a great property, beautifully located by the sea. Wonderful friendly attentive staff. For an all inclusive resort, the food could certainly be better but it is still a nice convenience to have all these buffets (breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner) We even had a surprise visit by some humpback whales at the beach resort !! The hotel is great in organizing daily fun activities and quality evening shows (like circus night, latin dance shows and many others). The only letdown was on our last day, and upon checkout, the treatment that we received (after having stayed at the property for a week). We had some delayed returned flights and the hotel management was rather unfriendly and uncooperative in having us enjoy the resort that last day while waiting for our flights. Otherwise a marvellous stay and memories that we will always treasure! Thank you Las Palmas by The Sea! Muchas gracias Puerto Vallarta!!

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. The customer service at the front desk was absolutely HORRIBLE to both my man and myself. There were two times I approached them. I went to ask a question for more toilet paper and to I ask for help to find a meeting location for a Zipline they were down right RUDE. They even said crude things as I turned to leave, thinking I didn’t understand what they were saying. I received more kindness and assistance Dow the road from the customer service at the front desk of Krystal Puerto Vallarta. The food was mediocre at best. We had the vendors, that wander the beach, gather right outside our balcony. There was little to no peace on the balcony to enjoy the beach and the sound of the ocean. Their “security” was more concerned about the patrons that paid to stay there than anything else. The waitstaff, bartenders, and house keepers were kind and did a great job keeping the hotel clean and running. Definitely not happy or satisfied with this stay. Very disappointing.

I have stayed at Las Palmas by the Sea several times over the years. I am happy there and feel welcome. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Las Palmas as it is their attention and friendliness that make the stay so great. Kudos go to bartender extraordinaire David who is in charge of the lobby bar. I would like to mention Israel at the beach bar, but all others are great as well. In the restaurants, Aristeo, Jessica, Fernando, Cesar, Chris, Salvador, Jorge and others are top-notch. Vicki looked after my room each day on my recent visit and she did a great job. All the folks at Reception were attentive to my needs. Leonel in Reservations always helps me when I contact him regarding a room request. I did, however, notice cutbacks in a couple of areas, one being that there were rarely desserts at meals. Also, entertainment was no longer nightly but, instead, only about three times per week. There was karaoke two or three times a week and Mondays were dark. All in all, I really like Las Palmas and will continue to vacation there. You should too.

Great location. Property is dated. But amazing beach and friendly staff!

A really good location in the Hotel Zone. But crossing the many lanes at the traffic lights was worrisome.

We spent 6 days in Las Palmas by the sea. It's a nice hotel overall. It's cozy and family friendly. It's very clean and the staff are amazing. It has an amazing view of the ocean that looks marvelous during the sunset. It was really close to downtown as well (45min walk) It might not be your taste if you're looking for luxury.The food is fair. It's not super high quality but it was good enough for the price. Even though the hotel was sold out it wasn't too crowded There was always plenty of space at the beach, pool and at the dining area. They have some sort of entertainment every afternoon (for kids) and every night but they don't have a separate room for it so it gets very loud. If you like to go to bed early, that might be a problem for you. Also, restaurants are not included with the all inclusive deal and there isn't any gym or exercise room. But generally speaking we really enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed being able to walk to many places to shop and restaurants near by the resort and a short bus ride to the romantic area. So beautiful.

Great location

Gorgeous property on the beach with unique tropical feel forever honoring it's traditional national heritage. Palapa staff make you feel like royalty. a 10-15 min walk to the Malecon. Happy to stay here again just for the ambiance even though the price seemed relatively high given what other local all-inclusive resorts in this class are offering given quality of room fixtures and furnishings.

The overall resort is beautiful. Everything is in walking distance including the Malecon. About 20 minutes. I didn't like the meal schedules though. 630 with children is to late for dinner for us but it may not bother anyone else. It's just something we couldn't navigate the first few days. Can't feed them nuggets and burgers for dinner everyday lol

Facilities are clean, staff is friendly, pools are clean, many great food choices, and great location to shopping and downtown.

La playa es muy linda, al igual que las albercas y el jacuzzi, sin embargo creo que es pequeña para la cantidad de huéspedes, la comida no es muy variada y me parece inaceptable que no tengan servicio de enfermería o de un médico en el hotel

This is a very average property. There is only one buffet to have your meals and the food is ok, nothing great. It seemed like we were eating the same thing every day. I would give the alcohol a C-, the wine was terrible and you couldn’t taste the liquor in a hard drink. There really isn’t much to do around the immediate area, shopping and restaurants are about a 3 mile taxi ride. The staff were very nice and the hotel is very clean.

Food was terrible. Drinks were ok. Some staff were really good while others rude. We were not told when we made reservations that the main large pool was closed, so the only pool that was open was the small adults only with tons of kids.

Beautiful location/beach, I wasn't impressed with The Food; it was the same everyday. they said they had another restaurant on site. and all they had was a Makeshift Restaurant each day. They supplied 2 bottled waters to the room each day and then after that they only offered warm water from the tiki hut. when asked at front desk for bottled water they said they didn't have any. Offer bottled water to the Guests. it is Hot there.

El personal muy amable, las actividades que tiene el hotel todos los días son divertidas y añaden un plus, lo único que en lo personal no me gustó fue la comida. Un poco insípida la verdad y realmente no la varían, prácticamente es lo mismo todos los días. Sólo agregan un platillo diferente a la hora de la comida y la cena pero el buffet es lo mismo todos los días.. los drinks debes pedirlos con doble shot para que te sepan porque si no, solamente te saben dulces.!!!!
