Super 8 by Wyndham Ft Stockton

If you are looking for a staff friendly, pet friendly, no frills place to stay in Fort Stockton that is comfortable and clean, then I highly recommend this little jewel. If you have little ones that want to swim, the pool is currently closed. We did not eat the breakfast, so cannot speak to that, but they have a lovely little courtyard to walk the dogs. Suffice it to say, we will stay there again.

A little tired on the outside. Lots of parking if you have a trailer. The room was about 85% renovated. So still some unfinished wall stuff in bathroom, but otherwise OK.

No swimming pool even though it was advertised as having one😔This is a real sticking point for me as I book hotel based on amenities so to falsely advertise is misleading fraud! I wouldn't have stayed there! What will Expedia do about this?!! It happens alot?!

The reason I got the hotel was for the pool and breakfast, when we got there we headed out to the pool but it was EMPTY!!! And it was hot outside, and when morning came around the breakfast was not good at all, the “self made” pancake machine made them under cooked and didn’t even look like a pancake, only thing I was able to actually eat was toast, won’t be going there again

The room I reserved was never cleaned. They had to put my wife & myself in another room The reason we booked at the Super 8 was the swimming pool We had driven 8 hours in 100° temperature and looked forward to having a ice cold drink , swimming and relaxing. None of that happened. The pool was closed and the guy at the front desk said he didn't know why. Another reason for booking at Super 8 was they say their pet friendly. That was another $40 for 2 dogs for 1 night. I didn't know when booking that they charge for pets. There was a threatening sign saying $100.00 fine for not disclosing your pets. Another sign said No Pets in the lobby/breakfast seating area. After checking in to our room I went to get some ice from the ice machine. There is only one ice machine for 94 rooms. The ice machine was broken. Again I went to the front desk and the guy said the part is on order. I asked what about another ice machine & was told that if I wanted ice , to go across the street & buy some. So my wife and I had to navigate the highway , no pedestrian cross walk and no sidewalks. The speed limit is 50 mph. It's not just across the street. I got a receipt for the ice and talked to the guy at the front desk. I told him it was dangerous to cross the highway and Super 8 should at least buy the ice. He argued with me and told me to talk to the daytime person at the front desk. The guy showed no concern for customer satisfaction or for our safety.

Overall my experience was good. Need to put water in the pool or get rid of it. Bbq area was littered with lighter fluid bottles and trash around the grill. The picnic table was dried out and brittle. The picnic table definately needs replacing. D'bora Priest

This was a nice clean room. They have a nice desk area and comfortable beds.

There are many cats and they urinate in the entrances and there is a bad smell

There were roaches and bed bugs. Left after one night went to anther motel.

Smell very bad outside the room at the hallway. Back door security was broken. Breakfast items were not refill. Inside the room was Okay for 1 night stay.

The hotel room was extremely clean and the bed sheets were in good shape and the pillows were in good shape so I was very satisfied with the basics the bathroom was clean and the shower was very comfortable and did not take long to get hot water. I would give the hotel a rating of 5 based on the value to cost, outside could use some upkeep but inside was very comfortable clean and staff was very friendly.

Lobby was nice, then we went to out room, old broken, dead bugs and people knocked at our door, corridor door was wide open, in short would never stay here again, I doy know who left those reviews, but just be aware of this “little” things.

I like it cause its easy to check in and the staff are always nice tge beds are soooo comfy our bathtub had hair in it and the mirrors were dirty but other then that it was great

The room had been through some renovation and in the bathroom the wall above the light for the sink had holes from the previous light not repaired or painted. Around the base of the floor in the bathroom was dirt. The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The breakfast consisted of 2 types of cereal, apples, very small muffins. Not what I call a breakfast Receptionist did not ever get up from her chair until I needed to sign and initial bill. Not what I am used too receiving for my money! Will not stay at Super 8 again in my travels.

The front desk person was nice, friendly, and helpful with questions. I did not approach her with issues I encountered. Of the several lamps the room had only 3 worked. The floor of the room felt gritty. The room had a chemical smell to it. The floor of the hallway leading to the room was bumpy, and felt like it was uneven. The air conditioner blew out coldish air, but the room didn't cool down. The worst part was the bed. It felt like someone laid down some plywood, and covered it with a cheap camping pad. Did I pay a lot for the room? No. I wasn't expecting star amenities, but I have experienced a lot better for a similar price.

The room remodels were badly done and couldn’t take a bath because only burning hot water came out of all the faucets. Floor planks moved when you walk on them but at least the tv had great cable.

Pool was out of comission. Room was large, inviting with comfortable beds. Nice & quiet. Easy on & off the interstate.

Sink was clogged. Tv wouldn’t shut off. Had to unplug it. Shower had a bad mixer. Would just stay hot no matter what.

Old building with upgrades that only cover up issues. All baseboards are terrible. Base around the bed needs to be redone. Flooring is new but loose in many places. Hallways area with vending stinks. Very sour smell. Bath tub had a crack in the wall. Just lots of repainted things and didnt fix the real problems.

My stay was okay in that I had a good bed to sleep in but there were a few amenities missing that I saw in the picture. There’s no desk chair or even a lounge chair that I kinda needed because I had some computer work to do. I asked for a desk chair and the attendant told me very bluntly that it wasn’t included. I showed him the picture and he said that was an old photo

The area is fine, the property is under construction and will be great once finished. The star is the staff. They are fantastic!

Not as advertised!!! The lobby was dirty and in disrepair. The Indian guy was far from friendly at check in. They’re were workmen in the halls doing work. Cigarette butts in the grounds everywhere. The room was plain and well worn. Leak reports evident in the washroom coiling. Ugh! What a huge disappointment. Never go to Suoer 8

Clean rooms, friendly staff & good continental breakfast

Front desk staff was awesome and responded quickly with a couple of small things.

felt a little sketchy in the area but no issues clean rooms nice staff ok breakfast once we got the pankcake machine working so really only complaint was the rooms are a little inconvenient to get to

Good if you only want to sleep. I arrived here at midnight with the idea of just shower, sleep, eat breakfast and continue driving. For the price it was fine, but the breakfast options were disappointing wiht only waffles, pancakes, muffins, and apples available. Ended up getting breakfast somewhere else before continuing my drive, which is wjy my rating is a 4 instead of a 5 (could have been a 4.5 considering the price), but other than that pretty good.

The room and bathroom were clean and the furniture was in good shape. The bed wasn't comfortable, it was hard and lumpy and you couldn't sleep on the edge without feeling like you were going to fall out of bed. I think that we stayed in room 122. The free breakfast was poor. It was okay for just needing a room for one night.

Room was OK. Advertised breakfast was included. What was offered was a poor continental nothing but sugar and carbs. Wish I had paid the extra $15 to stay across the street which was offering what we were looking for.

Clean rooms, friendly staff & good continental breakfast

The hotel is in perfect location. The rooms are clean and the staff are very attentive. The breakfast was good, I only wished they would had served fresh cooked egg and hot oatmeal.

King bed and pillows were very comfortable. Near highway, but quiet. Front desk greeter was very pleasant, helpful even with pur arrival after 10 p.m. (We'd called ahead to let her knowvif our late arrival.) Breakfast offered 2 cereals, packaged oatmeal, automatic pancake machine, packaged mini-muffins, packaged breakfast sandwich, coffee, milk. Microwave. No juice as machine was "new, not yet working"?. The pool, which we didn't need, was drained long ago, it appears. Good Price for one-night stopover.

Everything was great! So far the best breakfast also.

Overall good value for cost. However breakfast was lacking, pancake maker was broken.
