The room was clean. Without an elevator , the schlep up two flights with a suitcase was unexpected. The included breakfast was minimal but sufficient. The hotel is beginning to show its age. It needs tidying up, repainting, and upgrading. The front office staff were excellent. Always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The location is great. The valet parking is $40/day but efficient anyway. I’m not sure if the hotel is air conditioning. There as no evidence of it in the room I could see, mind you I didn’t ask about it. Without it staying here in the hot humid summer would be unbearable. All In all, good value for this time of year.

Very old beautiful hotel. Room was ready early. We had a clogged sink and someone came to fix it immediately after notifying staff. Valets were awesome! Bed was comfortable. $40/day valet parking was unexpected. Coming from a much smaller city, we weren't familiar with having having to use Uber or public transportation which was much better in terms of parking at places we were seeing. We were used to driving everywhere ourselves and Montreal is so much bigger and parking seems to be an issue. Live and learn! The hotel doesn't have an elevator so if someone has mobility issues, this could be an issue. Breakfast was the same everyday and less than adequate in our opinion. Canned fruit cocktail, croissants, bread, cheese, ham, not sure if it was yogurt or cottage cheese and granola. The orange juice was very watered down. The location is great! Within walking to many restaurants and shops.

This hotel was adequate for our two night stay. Staff was friendly. The hotel listing mentioned it had valet parking. Which I interpreted as it had regular parking as well. I was wrong. And valet is the only option for an additional charge per night. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at chateau Versailles. Also would give the continental breakfast a 2 out 5 star. I would recommend looking for a cafe near by, there are a few good ones in the area if you don’t mind walking a bit. And did not provide a bottle of water in hotel room but had lemon water in the lobby which was nice.

staff was courteous and helpful. It’s and old building, so sound proofing is not as great as newer buildings. Keep your expectations on the medium side and you’ll be ok. A few stains on carpet, clean but mold in the bath. Spacious room facing Main Street was still quiet and gas fireplace made stay cozy on the first snow in November. Close to Musée and downtown. Sister hotel across the street - SENS looks newer with less expensive rooms

Rented two rooms and both rooms had spiders and other bugs crawling around. Hairs in the bathtubs and on top of one of the beds. Grout was coming off in the showers, and the shower head in room 101 is horrible. The pictures on the website are really deceiving and make the place look 1000 times better than it really looks. However, the staff is VERY FRIENDLY and helpful.

When I looked at the advertisement of your hotel, I was also interested in many beautiful pictures, but when I checked in, I could not believe what you said on the website, it was completely wrong. The bedroom smelled musty, and the carpet was so dirty that I wanted to move to another room. And when I was changed to another room, it was the same. The smell of the carpet made me unable to breathe, so I had to walk outside until late at night, so tired that I went to the hotel to sleep and forget the unpleasant smells of the hotel. I was really dissatisfied and luckily for me, I only had 1 night at this hotel.

Old hotel which definitely needs renovation. The carpet of the room was so dirty with lots of stains. Pillows needs to be changed. The breakfast was ok but same everyday with very few options. No elevator and if you are in the upper floor, you need to consider using stairs.

Good location but our room felt very dirty. Our bathroom door didn’t shut, there was paint chips everywhere, dim lighting, caulking missing/black mold in the bathroom. We paid $400/night and it certainly didn’t feel like it was worth that. It is more of a 2.5-3 star hotel in our opinion. We would’ve been satisfied if we had paid $100/night but for the price we paid we were expecting a higher standard.

Very clean establishment. Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Staff were super friendly. Good breakfast included. Close to downtown and the subway making it easy to travel without driving. Our first room was in the basement. Do NOT book these rooms! They were extremely noisy with overhead traffic and clean but run down. However, the staff were vrry professional and polite when we asked to change our room, and did so as soon as one was available. Our second room on the 4th floor was lovely! Book only upper floors.

Big room and clean, but a little on the noisy side because it faced Sherbrooke. Don't know about the rooms at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was good but the room was too small for the amount of guests trying to have breakfast. Location was great! Close to Mont Royal Park and walking distance to St. Catherines street. Large room - 2 queen beds. Comfy beds. No view as our room backed onto laneway of homes. AC did not work well even though we asked for staff to come look into it. Staff was friendly and even shared free parking options in the area instead of paying for Valet. Good breakfast. Rooms/hotel is older and a bit run down.

Everything was very good, only the receptionist in the morning when we checked in was not friendly, she made faces for everything, super rude, I don't understand, it's a very nice place, it's better to get another job The lady the next day when we left the hotel was very friendly

I travel a lot and this was the worst hotel service I've ever experienced. My room was freezing (it was below freezing outside) when I got in and I realized the heater was broken. They told me they'd fix it and had me waiting until 3AM. They never fixed it, stopped responded to phone calls, and didn't have anyone at the front desk to help for the rest of the night. I tried to sleep in a freezing cold room. The next morning they were disrespectful, passive aggressive, and never apologized. They made it very clear they were not there to help.

Fantastic staff. Room was extremely clean and spacious. Valet service was very easy to use - every time we stay we usually park out front and tell the person at the front desk and they have valet fond our car and park it safely for us. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Great boutique hotel with quick access to transit and metro options. The location is a short walk to the Musée des Beaux Arts and shopping along St Catherine’s, and just a few metro stops to Place des Arts where Jazz Festival activities were located. Our room was quiet and clean. It was convenient to have a full breakfast each morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped answer our tourist questions. I will stay here again on a future visit.

We travelled to Montreal the last week in June for a pre-summer getaway. I wanted to find a hotel that was quiet and in a location with easy access to transit. This hotel fit the bill so well! It is a quaint, old style hotel in a great location - just up the street from Guy-Concordia Station. The hotel has a European flair, so if you're looking for a change from the modern looking hotels this would be it. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The experience of being in La Belle Province in a hotel with a European flair made for wonderful memories that we'd love to repeat one day.

The hotel is perfectly located in the city. Very close to restaurants and attractions. We walked to most places, but public transit is also easily accessible. The AC in our room was not great. The bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was good, nothing too special. Staff was very friendly and could speak perfect English. We would book here again, especially for the location.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, central to a lot of things. Breakfast was adequate for a quick bite to start the day. Wi-fi was god, we had no issues. However, the noise was very loud coming from the busy street. The windows need to be better insulated.

Room was stuffy and smelled stale so we kept the windows open to air it out. If it was colder out that would have been tough to do. Breakfast was subpar...we couldn't have eaten it for a third day. Boiled eggs, cold ham, fruit salad had gone bad. No gluten free options and the yogurt was warm so we passed on that. The parking situation was tough. There was no more room for valet when we arrive so thankfully we were able to find underground parking the next block over. Lots of restaurants and museums in the area so so it's in a great central location!

Stunning property and excellent customer service at front desk. One thing I was not impressed with was breakfast. Same thing every day, fruits was canned and seemed to runout of things in the middle of breakfast hours.
